SOSIO PROGRESIF: Media Pemikiran Studi Pembangunan Sosial ini menempatkan studi pembangunan sosial yang berfokus pada pemberdayaan masyarakat dan pelayanan sosial yang komprehensif dalam kerangka akademis, sehingga bisa melahirkan inovasi yang sinergis dengan permasalahan pembangunan sosial di Indonesia. Sosio Progresif memiliki Nomor E-ISSN: 2809-4476 dan P-ISSN: 2810-0077 Beberapa isu yang menjadi pusat pehatian dalam jurnal ini mencakup pemberdayaan masyarakat, pengentasan kemiskinan, pendidikan masyakarat, kesehatan masyarakat, ketenagakerjaan, pembangunan kepariwisataan, korporasi rakyat, kewirausahaan sosial, hubungan industrial, jaminan sosial, pengembangan wilayah dan kawasan, manajemen bencana berbasis masyarakat, masyarakat digital, globalisasi dan pembangunan, psikologi sosial, rehabilitasi sosial, isu gender dalam keluarga, usaha-usaha kesejahteraan sosial, dan isu-isu pembangunan sosial lain yang relevan, baik dalam konteks lokal maupun global. SOSIO PROGRESIF diterbitkan dua kali dalam satu tahun, yaitu pada bulan Januari dan Juli. Jurnal ini, berfungsi sebagai media refleksi pembangunan sosial di Indonesia yang berisi tulisan-tulisan yang merangkum hasil penelitian dan pemikiran konseptual di bidang pembangunan sosial. Publikasi ini rencananya akan tersedia dalam dua versi, yaitu cetak dan elektronik dengan akses terbuka. Akses terbuka ini diharapkan dapat meningkatkan keterbacaan dan meningkatkan kutipan penulis. Penerbitan Jurnal Sosio Progresif Program Studi Pembangunan Sosial Sekolah Tinggi Pembangunan Masyarakat Desa "APMD" bekerjasama dengan Asosiasi Pembangunan Sosial Indonesia (APSI).

Abstract

di Dusun Bendung yang memberikan akses serta kesempatan dalam meningkatkan pengetahuan dan keterampilan para perempuan di Dusun Bendung. Kelompok Wanita Tani (KWT) “ASRI” ini merupakan salah satu kegiatan dalam rangka ikut berpartisipasi untuk pembangunan dalam upaya pemberdayaan perempuan dalam bidang pertanian dengan memanfaatkan lahan dan mengolah hasil pasca panen menjadi suatu produk maupun di jual yang diharapkan dapat meningkatkan perekonomian. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan pemberdayaan perempuan yang dilakukan oleh Kelompok Wanita Tani (KWT) “ASRI” dalam upaya menyediakan sumber daya, kesempatan, pengetahuan serta meningkatkan keterampilan para perempuan. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode deskriptif kualitatif. Subjek penelitian ini adalah pengurus, anggota KWT Asri dan Kepala Dusun Bendung. Pengumpulan data dilakukan dengan metode observasi, wawancara dan dokumentasi. Teknik analisa data yang digunakan yaitu pengumpulan data, reduksi data, penyajian data dan penarikan kesimpulan. Hasil dari penelitian ini, yaitu eksistensi Kelompok Wanita Tani (KWT) “ASRI” memberikan pengaruh positif bagi para perempuan yang ada di Dusun Bendung dan pemberdayaan perempuan melalui Kelompok Wanita Tani “ASRI” juga memberikan sarana dalam meningkatkan pengetahuan dan keterampilan mengenai bercocok tanam. Selain itu Kelompok Wanita Tani (KWT) “ASRI” juga menyediakan kesempatan kepada para anggotanya untuk mendapatkan pendidikan di dalam kelompok.

Abstract

The phenomenon of a man whose look resembles women have long existed and happened in the society. Almost all members of society know of a man who look resembling women with the term “Waria”. Social problems faced by waria in Indonesia is a very complicated and complex. With a number of the problems faced by waria, so a number of waria that care about their people build a non-governmental organization or NGO’s. The NGO named Kebaya. NGO's Kebaya emerged following the concern of a group of warias who want to improve the living standard of warias. So, there is no discrimination or negative stigma of the warias. In enforcing the fate of warias, NGO's Kebaya concentrate to the rate of the epidemic of HIV/AIDS in Indonesia, especially in special region of Yogyakarta. The purpose in this research is to know about the pattern of communication and the way to handle the pace of the HIV/AIDS epidemic conducted by warias in the NGO's Kebaya Yogyakarta. This research in a qualitative descriptive. The purpose of descriptive research is to let readers to know what happening in the research, and certain event experienced researchers while doing the research. The collected data will be tested used a technique of triangulation for the purpose to finding validity and credibility the data. Results obtained from this research is the communication that happened between NGO's Kebaya warias with adjoins warias. In the running of socialization on the prevention and handling of the rate of the HIV/AIDS epidemic. In the process found form of communication that is interpersonal communication and in group communication. Communication was in face-to-face and with a horizontal pattern. In addition, it was known about the programs that run by NGO’s Kebaya in dealing with various problems surrounding HIV/AIDS and also issues that concerning about warias.

Abstract

Yogyakarta City is one of the big cities that cannot be separated from environmental problems, especially in the riverbank areas. Generally, the main function of river is to collected rainwater in an area and drain it into the sea (Mori, 1993: 169-170). However, the rivers in Yogyakarta has undergone a shift in function, from the main function of the river to drain rainwater in anticipation of flooding, currently the area around the river was used as a place to live which threaten the sustainability of the river itself. One of the rivers that crosses the city of Yogyakarta is the Gajah Wong River, now the river has undergone a shift in function as a residential area. So in this case the Gajah Wong river activists who called the Paguyuban Manunggal Karso is one of attempt to preserve the river and change the development of riverbank communities to be aware of the dangers that threaten every day. Efforts that made by Paguyuban Manunggal Karso include mutual cooperation to build inspection roads, conserve river and embodied the M3K programme (Munggah, Mundur, Madhep Kali) in the riverbank area.

Abstract

Persons with disabilities are included in the marginalized group because of their lack of ability to interact and have difficulty joining community groups. This research looks at the impact of the emergence of "Inclusion Village" as part of the Rindi (Rintisan Desa Inklusi) program of the Kulon Progo Regency Government. This study uses a descriptive method with a qualitative approach. The object of this research is the situation of the Inclusion Village in community acceptance of people with disabilities. Information was collected from 15 disabled people, 3 families with disabilities and 3 communities. One of the factors that causes people with disabilities in Sidorejo Village to be able to join social groups in the community is support from their families. The community does not object to the presence of people with disabilities in social groups because people with disabilities are able to adapt quickly, and people make people with disabilities as motivation to increase their racial gratitude and respect for time. Villages provide opportunities, facilities and involve people with disabilities in community activities.

Abstract

The problem of poverty is a problem which until now has not been able to be overcome by the central government in general and regional governments in particular. Various ways to overcome this problem have been taken by the government but this problem has not been able to be resolved. This poverty arises because there is a lack of tools to fulfill basic needs or difficult access to education and employment. Therefore, researchers are interested in conducting research with the title Unit Strategy of the Village Cooperative "Tani Makmur" in Improving Community Welfare in Tirtonirmolo Village, Kasihan District, Bantul Regency, Yogyakarta. This study used descriptive qualitative method. The types of data used in conducting this research are primary data and secondary data. Data collection techniques used were observation, interviews, and documentation. The purpose of this research is to find out the Tani Makmur Village Unit Cooperative Strategy in Improving Community Welfare in Tirtonirmolo Village, Kasihan Subdistrict, Bantul Regency, Yogyakarta and to find out the constraints faced by the Tani Makmur Village Unit Cooperative in Improving Community Welfare in Tirtonirmolo Village, Kasihan District, Bantul Regency, Yogyakarta. Based on the research that has been done, the final results of the study stated that the Strategy of the Village Unit Cooperative "Tani Makmur" in improving welfare has been going well. Seen from the increasing number of people who joined the cooperative. With the quality of the management and good service from every business unit in KUD "Tani Makmur" KUD makes the community and members become more trusting. So that the goal of establishing the KUD to improve the welfare of the community and members is more or less achieved. There are several obstacles such as the lack of labor in the field, the lack of young people who are in KUD "Tani Makmur". The advice given is to increase the management's knowledge and skills, involve young people in management, and do more collaboration with other parties.
