Abstract

Roses have the potential to be developed in Indonesia but the freshness of cut roses quickly decreases after postharvest. The research was conducted in January to March 2023 at the Ecophysiology Laboratory, Faculty of Agriculture, Udayana University. This study aims to determine the effect of soaking with a mixture of sugarcane juice and citric acid solution to maintain the vase life of cut roses. The research design used a completely randomized design (CRD) with 2 factors. The first factor was sugarcane juice consisting of 4 treatments: 0ml, 10ml, 20ml and 30ml. The second factor, namely citric acid, consisted of 4 treatments: 0ppm, 50ppm, 100ppm and 150ppm. The treatment was repeated 2 times to obtain 32 experimental units. The results showed an interaction between the sugarcane juice and citric acid treatment on the variable changes in flower diameter, acidity of the solution, and flower vase life. As a single factor, sugarcane juice has a significant effect on the variables of flower diameter, absorbed solution, solution pH, and flower vase life. As a single factor, citric acid has a significant effect on the variable diameter of the flower, the absorbed solution, the pH of the solution, and the vase life of the flower. A mixture of sugarcane juice and citric acid at 10ml and 150ppm maintained the appearance of cut roses for up to 7 days.

Abstract

Tirta Wisata Keplaksari Park or also known as Tirta Wisata is a water tourism park located in Jombang, East Java. This study aims to determine and evaluate the physical maintenance system at Tirta Wisata. This study uses observation techniques, questionnaires, interviews, and literature studies to collect data. Questionnaires were distributed randomly to 50 respondents. Respondents perceptions of Tirta Wisata were good in terms of the cleanliness of the park from wild plants, the cleanliness of the lake, in the other hand the cleanliness of the toilets from odors is getting quite good results. Respondents of this study also suggested to add or create several facilities such as a children's playground, food court, several garden area, and an adequate parking lot. This study suggestion is to add some garden maintenance tools and materials for maintain the park and write down the garden maintenance schedule in clear and detailed so that it can be implemented properly.

Abstract

Walking is an important capital for the sustainability of a city. There is already a pedestrian path in the Udayana University Campus area on Panglima Besar Sudirman Street, Denpasar City, but its walkability is not yet known. The research is divided into two pedestrian paths, determined by taking a 400 meter radius from the campus as the location for activity center. Quantitative research methods with observation techniques, surveys and literature studies. The survey used a closed questionnaire instrument with a Likert Scale assessment. This study aims to identify potentials, problems and recommend ideal walkability on the pedestrian path of the research route. Based on the research findings, it can be recommended the use of consistent road materials and widths to increase the walkability of pedestrian paths. Pedestrian path in the Udayana University Campus area on Panglima Besar Sudirman Street already has pedestrian facilities that can support walkability. Supporting facilities can be improved from the parameters of signs and markings, tree shade cover, lighting and trash bins. The ideal walkability on the research route is that it has an average score of Global Walkability Index with a positive trend and is supported by the fulfillment of aspects of accessibility and circulation, width and material consistency and pedestrian path facilities.

Abstract

Horticultural crops, especially fruits and vegetables contain nutritional components, namely sources of vitamins and minerals needed to support human nutritional needs. To produce horticultural crops optimally, it is necessary to evaluate land suitability. This study aims to determine actual and potential land suitability classes as well as spatial distribution for horticultural crops, limiting factors, and land use directions that can be recommended on dry land in Sidemen District. This research was conducted using survey methods, soil analysis in the laboratory, and land suitability classification using the 2011 Ritung land evaluation technical guidelines by matching the quality/characteristics of the land with the growing requirements of the plants being evaluated. The horticultural crops evaluated included Chinese cabbage, red chilies and long beans. The results showed that the actual land suitability class for horticultural crops (petsai, red chili, and long beans) was classified as S3 (marginally appropriate) up to N (not suitable) with the limiting factors of temperature, rainfall, texture, P-available, and slope. Potential land suitability classes for horticultural crops (petsai, red chili and long beans) are classified as S1 (very suitable) to S3 (marginally suitable) with the limiting factors of temperature, texture and slope. Efforts to improve land suitability class can be done by cropping pattern setting, applying fertilizers, and making terraces.

Abstract

The river is a place and container as well as a network of water drainage from springs to estuaries bounded by demarcation lines. The Petanu River or Tukad Petanu is a river that crosses two regencies in Bali, its upstream is in Bangli Regency and its mouth is in Saba Beach, Gianyar Regency. Blahbatuh Villagerea of ??the Amurva Bhumi Vihara, Blahbatuh Village, is a natural river surrounded by dense forest and rocks with a variety of flora and fauna. Tukad Petanu in Blahbatuh Village is located on a low contour so that it is flanked by cliffs on the east and west sides. The Tukad Petanu area in the Amurva Bhumi Vihara area, precisely on the riverbank area, has various activities such as relaxing, sightseeing, recreation, meditation, yoga, and religious activities and is a historical area. The purpose of this research is to produce a facility recommendation that can accommodate visitor activities on the site and rearrange the physical condition of the banks to make them attractive, beautiful, and comfortable. The research method uses a survey method with data collection techniques field observations, interviews, and literature study which are then analyzed descriptively qualitatively through four systematic approaches, namely preparation, inventory, analysis, and synthesis. The results of this study indicate that the location of the site is quite strategic, has accessibility but lacks facilities to support the activities of site users. As for the addition and development of areas on the site, namely, resting areas, meditation areas, yoga areas, religious areas and food court areas along with circulation on the sites.
