Istoria: Jurnal Ilmiah Pendidikan Sejarah Universitas Batanghari diterbitkan oleh Program Studi Pendidikan Sejarah Universitas Batanghari. Jurnal ini diterbitkan dua kali setahun, setiap bulan April dan September yang berisi hasil penelitian (lapangan atau studi pustaka) kajian teoretis maupun kajian kritis. Jurnal ini merupakan salah satu media publikasi bagi penelitian dengan kajian terkini dalam bidang sejarah dan pendidikan sejarah yang meliputi ranah sejarah dan pembelajaran sejarah itu sendiri. Dalam penelitian sejarah teoritis dan kritis mencakup sejarah dunia, sejarah Indonesia, dan sejarah lokal sedangkan pada bidang pendidikan sejarah mencakup strategi pembelajaran sejarah, metode pembelajaran sejarah, evaluasi pembelajaran sejarah, dan hal-hal lain yang berkaitan dengan peningkatan kualitas pendidikan sejarah.

AbstracThe purpose of this research is to describe the role of Muara Jambi enshrinement site as a Jambi local history learning and explain the noble values that’s taken from Muara Jambi enshrinement site. The research method used is historical method, which is a process of testing and critically analyzing past events, with stages starting from heuristics, criticism, interpretation, historiography. In more detail this research begins with topic selection, the collection of written materials that are relevant to the chosen theme, doing the criticism of removing the facts that are not authentic so that it is able to lift the facts authentically and credibly. Furthermore to conclude and collect the various facts obtained and arrange them into a story or a meaningful presentation. This research is expected to have an important meaning especially in the study of Jambi local history in Hindu Buddhist period, and become a literary source in the form of scientific journals containing information about one of the historical sites (Muara Jambi Temple) in the form of artifacts, as well as a promotion event of Jambi History at national level.Keywords : Site, Temple, Muara Jambi

Abstrac The purpose of this research is to describe the types of out of school education and to know the role of out of school education in building human resources. The method in this research is library research by doing analysis to scientific journals and other literatures then do drawing conclusion. The results showed that (1) Out of school education consists of two educational frame, namely non-formal and informal education. (2) Out of school education has a basic role as an addition, supplementary and substitute for school education. As a substitute for school education, out of school education can replace formal education frame which, for some reason, do not follow formal education. As a school-based supplement, out of school education is undertaken to increase the knowledge, skills that are lacking in school education. As complement of school education, and as a complement the knowledge and skills that are lacking or not obtained in schools.Keywords: Out of school education, Human Resources

Abstract The purpose of this research is to describe the economic activity and the role of the workers in the palm plantations in Desa Sumber Mulya and explain the economic life of the workers result of the influence of the economic activities of the people's palm plantations. The research method used is historical method, which is a process of testing and critically analyzing past events, with stages starting from heuristics, criticism, interpretation, historiography. The approach used is a multidisciplinary theoretical approach by applying other social sciences concepts such as economics and sociology. . The results showed that the community palm plantations in Desa Sumber Mulya show progressive conditions, one of them in terms of increasing the number of workers and wages of workers every year so as to improve their economic life. Not only have an economic impact on labor, this oil palm plantation also affects the economic condition of the farmers as well as the owners of the palm plantation due to the continued increase in profits.Keywords: palm plantation, Labor, farmer, Sumber Mulya

AbstracThe purpose of this research is to determine the effect of the method of Number Head Together on the learning outcomes of students of class XI IPS SMA Negeri 4 Muara Jambi. The research method used is experimental method. This experimental research involves two classes, the experimental class using the method of Number Head Together and control class using conventional methods. The result of the research, the average score for the experimental class is 75,36 with the standard deviation of 12,98 and the controlreat class is 66,67 and with standard deviation 15,28. And the results of the hypothesis test obtained t count = 6.99 and ttabel = 2.00 so it can be concluded that method number head together affect student learning outcomes, student learning outcomes that use method number head together better than the results of learning using conventional methods in the class XI IPS semester 1 SMA Negeri 4 Muaro jambiKeywords: Method, Number Head Together, Learning Outcomes

Abstrac This study aims to provide an overview of the biography of Abdurrahman Sayoeti thought (1965-1999). The research method used is historical method, which is a process of testing and critically analyzing past events, with stages starting from heuristics, criticism, interpretation, historiography. The results of various important positions have been held by Abdurrahman Sayoeti, first became director of APDN in 1965, through the leadership of Abdurrahman Sayoeti, has given birth to quite a lot of graduates and has the leadership seeds to build Jambi area, secondly, as Sekwilda Level I Jambi up to two periods (1969), Abdurrahman Sayoeti's career was so developed that it was given the confidence to develop regional tasks accompanying Governor Macshun Syofwan, as Deputy Governor of KDH Level I Jambi one period (1985). Finally in the peak of his career through elections conducted by representatives of the people in the Jambi Provincial Legislative and with full support by the people so as to make Abdurrahman Sayoeti as Governor of Jambi for two periods, from 1989 to 1999. AbstracIn the research, the writing aims to explain the movement of youth / students and the dynamics of mass organizations of the national student front of Jambi region 2003-2015. The research method used is historical method which includes heuristic stages, source critic, interpretation and historiography. In this study using the theory of social movements, which can take a collective approach to social movements. Especially the youth / student movement, such as the National Student Front. The results of this study indicate that, FMN organization itself was founded by the student actors in jambi, who have different organizational background as well. Like, students from the organization (PMII, HMI and MPRJ). In the development of FMN organization plays a role in various aspects, so as to increase the role of youth / students and other sectors of society. It can be seen from the development of FMN in Jambi starting from the establishment of FMN in 2003 until 2015. Like, the number of FMN cadres who have now become alumni, who took the role to plunge the community and government. AbstracThis study aims to describe Inang-inang economy activities at Angso Duo Market of Jambi from the emergence to the effects of economic life of the perpetrators, especially from the acquisition of income earned. The research method used is historical method, covering the stages of Heuristik, Source Critique, Interpretation, and Historiography. The approach used is a theoretical approach that is multidisciplinary by applying other social sciences concepts such as economics and sociology. The results showed that the economic activities act of Inang-inang as traders at Angso Duo Market of Jambi. Although only a trader, but this profession still remains to be one of the livehood options for those who are involved in working on it. Abstra The purpose of this research is to describe the process of establishment and development of YKPP School, as well as to explain the role or contribution of YKPP School for the advancement of education in Jambi City as well as to improve the economic welfare of the parties directly involved in the management and operation of the school. The research method used is the method of history ranging from heuristic stages, criticism, interpretation, and historiography. The approach used is sociology approach and prosessual approach. The result showed Initially YKPP (elementary and junior high school) schools showed progressive and progressive conditions, but since 2000 there has been a significant deterioration of both schools, especially after they are no longer under the auspices of Jambi Pertamina, and taken over by their respective school committees. The setback is mainly seen from the number of students, the provision of new facilities and learning infrastructure. Nevertheless both schools survive and keep trying to maintain the quality of schools, teachers, and students. In terms of quality, the school still earns accreditation status with rank A and B, in terms of teachers still graduated S1 with various new disciplines, and students who continue to get achievements in various fields (art, sport, scout, science, and others).Keywords: School, YKPP, Kota Jambi, Progress,
