Abstract

Learning science for children in an effort to grow thinking skills really requires the participation of educators for parents, teachers and other adults.  The research objective was to determine the ability of simple science recognition skill through playing measurement method of class B at TK Negeri Pembina Banggai Regency. This research used Classroom Action Research (CAR). The subject of this research were 15 children in group B. The results obtained that children developed and showed better results, especially the children in group B. Science is an activity of tracing, observing and doing an experiments. It is necessary for young children to participate in the scientific process, because the skills that they will acquire can be carried over to further developments and will be useful throughout their life.

Abstract

The role of parent in the moral development of children is determined by the parenting pettern performed by single parentThe purpose of this study was to determine the parenting pattern  of single parent in Islamic education. This research used descriptive analysis, described the facts in the field, then it was analyzed based on educational theories combined with data collection techniques through observation, interviews and questionnaires. The results of the study, there were three types of parenting styles used by single parent in Bantayan Village, 10 people used democratic parenting, 12 people used liberal/permissive parenting, and 4 people used authoritarian parenting. The single parent in Bantayan Village tended to use liberal/permissive parenting in educating their children, due to low educational and economic factors. The liberal/permissive parenting given by single parent to children had several influences on children’s behavior. Children though that the relationship with parents was only limited to material fulfillment, children act appropriate to their own will and the child become difficult to be guided.

Abstract

Speed in a pencak silat T kick is a very important factor to support the success in launching attacks on the opponent's body.  This study aims to determine the effect of treatment, namely plyometric training on the results of the kick speed of T pencak silat on athletes of Tapak Suci 230 pencak silat, Banggai Regency.  The research which was conducted at the Padepokan IPSI, Banggai Regency was also an experimental quantitative study with the One-group pre-test post-test research design.  Based on the overall measurement results, the data obtained from the kick speed test are: the mean value of the pre-test is 21.23 and the post-test is 28.23.  It was found that the percentage value of increase from the initial test and the final test was 36.6%.  Furthermore, by paying attention to the post-test average score of kick speed T, the athletes are categorized as “Good”.  Thus it can be concluded that in this study, the treatment given, namely plyometric training, greatly influenced the T kick speed of the Tapak Suci 230 pencak silat athlete in Banggai Regency.

Abstract

Improving the quality of learning requires the performance of a teacher. This study aims to: (a) How is the performance of teachers in MTs. Sullamul Falah Tombos. (b) How is the performance of teachers in improving students’ motivation. This study used a phenomenological approach with qualitative research. Data collection techniques were carried out through: observation, interviews and documentation. Using purposive sampling technique. While the validity of the data used triangulation techniques. The results showed that in general the performance of teachers at MTs Sullamul Falah Tombos was quite good, in terms of reflecting on their duties as a teacher and as an administrator who organizes quality learning activities through planning, implementing and assessing the teaching and learning process whose intensity is based on work ethic, and high professional discipline. Students learning motivation is good where the achievement of student learning outcomes competencies on average reaches a value of 7 and a value of 8 for each subject taught by the teacher. Attention is needed by a teacher to influence student learning motivation.

Abstract

The purpose of this study was to determine the work ethic of teachers in improving students’ learning achievement at MTs. Negeri 1 Luwuk. To collect the data, the researcher used direct observation, interview, and docummentation to the teachers, included the Head of Madrasah. The data obtained were analyzed descriptevely. This study resulted two (2) findings, namely (1) the work ethic of the teachers in improving students’ learning achievement has been implemented in obeying all the rules and regulations at MTs. Negeri 1 Luwuk, as well as showing the simplicity, honesty, acted based on common sense, willingness to change or improve the self quality of students’ MTs Negeri 1 Luwuk. (2) the work ethic of the teachers, can be improved through respect for the teachers’ personal self, because respect, recognition of achievements and works, from an economic perspective, politics greatly affects a person's work ethic of the teachers in carrying out their duties. Based on the findings above, it is concluded that; (1) the work ethic of teachers at MTs. Negeri 1 Luwuk, has been proven by the simplicity, high discipline, honesty, mutual respect and appreciate, and have foresight (2) Factors influencing the work ethic of teachers are attention and respect, while affecting the students’ achievement are health, disability, maturity, intelligence, interest, atteantion, as well as family, society/environment and teachers’ factors.
