Abstract

Stunting on children is pressing matters since it could prevent and, up to a point, impair the physical and mental development of children, the growth of the brain, intelligence, and metabolism. Furthermore, in the long term it is worried that it could lead to the decrease of the cognitive ability and learning achievement, as well as the immunity so that the children will be prone to high-risk degenerative illness, old age disability, uncompetitive work competence, and low rate of productivity in economy (Kementrian Kesehatan, 2016). The aim of the research is to comprehend the character of stunted mothers and children (24-59 months) in Kricak village. The research applies analytic-descriptive model as the research design and cross-sectional study as the approach. The population in the research is 76 mothers in Kricak village having stunted children aged between 24 and 59 months. The instruments of the research are checklists and KIA books. Based on the research, the number of stunted children aged from 24 to 59 months were 76 children consisting of 69 stunted children (90,8%) and 7 severely stunted children (9,8%) and, mostly, it was suffered by the children coming from low-income families, namely 44 families (54,3%).

The data analysis used Chi Square. It shown with the value of x2 (30,511) with the significance value (p = 0,000 0,05) and 95% CI. There is a correlation between the information sources of reproductive health and sexual behavior of adolescents in Indonesia. The assessment of Health Technology Assessment (HTA) on planning of WA Gateway based on Android application as Information Center and Adolescent Counseling can be the formulation of health policy with interactive learning media for adolescents.

Abstract

Pain that occurs during labor is caused by the activity of uterine contractions. Uncontrolled pain can cause stress that will inhibit the release of the hormone oxytocin so that the labor process is disrupted. Labor pain can be decreased by pharmacological methods (drugs) or non-pharmacological ones, such as Al-Qur'an Healing with audio-visual methods. This study aims to determine the effect of Al-Quran Healing with audio-visual methods on the level of pain in the active phase of the first stage of labor. This study was an experimental quantitative research with one group pretest-posttest research design. The sampling technique was accidental sampling technique with the total of 12 samples. The research instruments were the videos of Al-Qur'an Surah Al-Insan, Al-Mulk, Maryam and Al-Kahf. The pain assessment instrument used Numeric Rating Scales. The data analysis in this study used univariate and bivariate analysis. Based on the univariate test, it was found that the respondents’ characteristics were ages that were not at risk and multiparous parity. Most respondents were high-school graduates and were assisted by their husbands during the labor. The results of data analysis using Wilcoxon obtained p-value 0,035 (p α) meaning that there was difference in the level of labor pain before and after the intervention. It could be concluded that there was a significant effect of giving Al-Qur'an Healing therapy to the level of labor pain in the active phase of the first stage of labor. This method of therapy is recommended to be used by the mothers during labor, and it is expected that the health services and the health workers can facilitate it.
