The health problems of pregnant women that are not handled optimally are related to psychological problems, this will affect the success of the postpartum period, including during the breastfeeding process. Therefore, it is necessary to conduct research related to stress conditions in pregnant women which will affect the psychological well-being of pregnant women. Objective: to determine the characteristics of the mother and the stress of pregnant women affects psychological well-being. Method: observational analysis with a cross-sectional design. The research population of pregnant women in the antenatal class with a sample of 60 people with data collection techniques using systematic random sampling. The results showed: there was an effect of maternal characteristics (age, gestational age, parity) on psychological well-being. And there is the effect of stress on psychological well-being with a p value of 0.000.

Abstract

Anemia during pregnancy can result in fetal death, abortion, congenital defects, low birth weight, reduced iron reserves in children or children born with malnutrition. This study aimed to describes the anemic incidence in the third trimester of pregnant women at Puskesmas Tegalrejo Yogyakarta. This research was a descriptive study that used a retrospective time approach. A total of 212 pregnant women in the third trimester met the inclusion criteria, which was pregnant women in the third trimester who had their pregnancy checked at the Puskesmas Tegalrejo Yogyakarta. The research tool used was a data collection sheet. Data was analyzed in proportion and percentage then using Chi Square analysis to get the correlational value (p0.05). Odds Ratio for Cohort value toward anemic status also was analyzed. The incidence rate of anemia (Hb 11gr%) occurred in 44 (20.8%) mothers aged 20 years and 35 years, 58 (27.4%) mothers with gestational age 37 weeks, 137 (64.6%) mothers with 4 parity, with a pregnancy interval of 24 months from the last child, as many as 141 (66.5%) mothers and 110 (51.9%) mothers with nutritional status based on upper arm circumference 23.5cm. These factors are considered risk factors for causing anemia in pregnant women. Correlation test using Chi Square is known to show p 0.05 for all variables. The highest risk for Anemic Incidence was known to be indicated by the Pregnancy Interval factor, 24 months (p 0.001; OR 9,512) followed by parity 4 (p 0.001; OR 6,679).

Abstract

Agencia (Biological Control Agents) are currently widely used to control pests and diseases or plant-disturbing organisms. One of the biological agents that has many benefits for controlling several types of diseases in both food crops and horticulture is Paenibacillus polymyxa. These bacteria are beneficial in nitrogen fixation, promotion of plant growth, solubilization of soil phosphorus, and production of exopolysaccharides, hydrolytic enzymes, antibiotics, and cytokinins. Paenibacillus polymyxa also produces polymyxin antibiotics and it is known that these bacteria contain the hormone gibberellins. Casein hydrolyzate is one of the growth media that can be used for the growth of microorganisms. The media is a complex mixture of 18 amino acids, vitamins, calcium, phosphate, and several microelements which results in their high price. Casein hydrolyzate is known to be more effective for plant tissue culture. Therefore, the purpose of this study was to determine whether the amino acid content in casein hydrolyzate could affect the growth of bacteria Paenibacillus polymyxa. The simple medium used in this study was soybean boiled water. Soybean as an alternative medium for protein sources to substitute beef extract, beef extract, and bacto peptone for the growth of bacteria Paenibacillus polymyxa. Based on TPC (Total Plate Count) calculations with graded dilution in Paenibacillus polymyxa, it was found that there was no difference in the number of bacteria to the addition of casein. This shows that bacteria can grow optimally even though casein hydrolyzate is not given during the growth process.

Abstract

Life changes that occur in adolescents who marry at a young age provide challenges for adolescents in living a new life. The period of marriage, pregnancy and childbirth experienced by adolescents at a young age becomes a new transition stage for them to take on a new role to become a mother. The aim of the scoping review is to review evidence related to adolescent experiences of motherhood at a young age. This scoping review used the Arksey and O'Malley framework. Identification of relevant studies used 4 databases. The results of this scoping review consisted of 15 selected articles. The results of the thematic analysis emerged 2 themes, which were the psychological state of adolescents to become mothers at a young age and the support needed by adolescents when they become mothers at a young age.
