Abstract

Project-based learning on teaching history makes a digital wall magazine with the theme of colonialism designed for generation Z students who are fluent in IT technology. This article uses a qualitative approach with a descriptive type of research. The research subjects were students of class XI MIPA 2 SMAN 3 Blitar. The application of project-based learning makes students collaborate with their groups to play an active role as planners, implementers, to reporting and evaluating projects for making digital wall boards. Each group is given a main theme and the flexibility to choose the structure or content of the digital magazine, such as infographics, essays, posters, crossword puzzles, to historical memes packaged in contemporary products. Project learning activities for making digital wall magazines encourage students to engage in learning activities that foster 21st century skills, namely information literacy, critical thinking, creative, media and technology literacy, communication, and collaboration.Pembelajaran sejarah berbasis proyek membuat mading digital tema kolonialisme dirancang untuk siswa generasi Z yang fasih teknologi IT. Artikel ini menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif dengan tipe penelitian deskriptif. Subjek penelitian yaitu siswa kelas XI MIPA 2 SMAN 3 Blitar. Penerapan pembelajaran berbasis proyek membuat siswa berkolaborasi bersama kelompoknya berperan aktif sebagai perencana, pelaksana, hingga pelaporan dan evaluasi proyek pembuatan mading digital. Setiap kelompok diberikan tema pokok dan keleluasaan pilihan struktur atau konten mading digital yang dibuat seperti infografis, esai, poster, teka-teki silang, hingga meme sejarah yang dikemas secara kekinian. Kegiatan pembelajaran proyek membuat mading digital memacu siswa terlibat aktivitas pembelajaran yang menumbuhkan kecakapan abad ke-21 yaitu literasi informasi, berpikir kritis, kreatif, literasi media dan teknologi, komunikasi, serta kolaborasi.

Abstract

The growth of the press provides a great opportunity for the development of the national movement. This is proven in the history of the press which is grouped into three parts, namely the history of the colonial press, the history of the national press and the history of the Chinese press. The development of the Chinese press in the political flow of the national movement began to attract attention. With the emergence of the elite class, the existence of Chinese newspapers began to be involved and influential in Indonesia, one of which was the Sin Po newspaper. As for the formulation of the problem related to the previous matter, the first is how is the development of the Sin Po newspaper. Second, how was the response of the Sin Po newspaper to the politics of the national movement period. And third, what is the role of the Sin Po newspaper in supporting the national movement. The writing of this article refers to historical research methods consisting of heuristics, criticism, interpretation, and historiography. In this way, it is expected to be able to find out the role of one of the Chinese press, namely the Sin Po newspaper in supporting the national movement in Indonesia.Pertumbuhan pers memberikan peluang besar bagi perkembangan pergerakan nasional. Hal tersebut dibuktikan dalam sejarah pers yang dikelompokkan menjadi tiga bagian, yakni sejarah pers kolonial, sejarah pers nasional dan sejarah pers Tionghoa. Perkembangan pers Tionghoa dalam arus perpolitikan pergerakan nasional mulai menarik perhatian. Dengan kemunculan golongan elite, keberadaan surat kabar Tionghoa mulai terlibat dan berpengaruh di Indonesia, salah satunya adalah surat kabar Sin Po.  Adapun rumusan masalah terkait hal sebelumnya yang pertama yaitu bagaimana perkembangan surat kabar Sin Po. Kedua, bagaimana respon surat kabar Sin Po terhadap Perpolitikan masa pergerakan nasional. Dan ketiga, bagaimana peran surat kabar Sin Po dalam mendukung pergerakan nasional. Penulisan artikel ini mengacu pada metode penelitian sejarah yang terdiri dari heuristik, kritik, interpretasi, dan historiografi. Dengan begitu, diharapkan dapat mengetahui peran salah satu pers Tionghoa yaitu surat kabar Sin Po dalam mendukung pergerakan nasional di Indonesia.
