Abstract

The Trend in International Mathematics and Science Study (TIMSS) is a comprehensive study that aims to look at the mapping of the education system through evaluation in the fields of mathematics and science. Indonesia is one of the countries involved in this periodic evaluation system every four years. Considering Indonesia's position which is still relatively low (ranked 35th out of 46 countries) in the 2015 TIMSS, the Indonesian government then decided not to become one of the TIMSS evaluation objects in 2019 while formulating its evaluation system. This article aims to examine the TIMSS 2023 framework which is used as a benchmark in the development of a national evaluation/assessment system in Indonesia. Furthermore, this article will contain the process of developing TIMSS standard questions. The method used is a Systematic Literature Review (SLR). The main literature in the preparation of this article is the TIMSS 2023 Assessment Frameworks. The other supporting literature comes from the results of research on related topics. In addition to the results of the systematic literature review (SLR) conducted, the findings of this research include the questions developed by the standards set by TIMSS 2023. The questions developed are focused on the field of mathematics for grade 4, specifically in the domain of Numbers.

Abstract

This research aims to provide an analytical description of students' errors in solving mathematical problems from the perspective of Newman, Kastolan, Watson, Hadar, and Polya errors and the factors influencing them. So, a Systematic Literature Review with the Prisma model was used in this research. Data was collected via Google Scholar and DOAJ in the 2017-2022 period in the accredited national journal Sinta totaling 366 articles. The Miles & Huberman model is used in research to analyze data by collecting, reducing, presenting, and drawing conclusions. The results of this research provide information regarding error analysis from the perspective of the Newman, Kastolan, Watson, Hadar, and Polya steps, as well as their indicators. Apart from that, the findings also provide information on external and internal factors that influence students' mistakes both through the learning process and related to personal character, mathematical abilities, and gender. Therefore, a teacher or educator needs to analyze the results of students' answers/work related to solving mathematical problems so that teachers can diagnose their students' strengths and weaknesses. The results of this diagnosis can be a reference for teachers to reflect on learning to choose the right learning model or method for mathematics material that suits the student's condition.

Abstract

In the Millennial era, there's been a positive response to the comprehensive diversification of educational partnerships, especially in the realm of multicultural Islamic education, garnering significant attention. Haedar Nashir's scholarly address at the 48th Mukhtamar of Muhammadiyah in UMS Surakarta effectively illustrates the emergence of a uniform educational framework, rich in intricacies, opening up new avenues in Islamic education. This qualitative and descriptive research addresses the ongoing debates surrounding Islamic education in Indonesia by suggesting pertinent Islamic-centered alternative approaches within the contemporary landscape. By utilizing a systematic review methodology and content analysis, this study highlights various facets of life and learning, encompassing methodologies, techniques, information propagation, educational administration, and the role of social media. Despite the primary emphasis and requirements set by Kemdikbud and Kemenag to achieve an enlightened Islamic education, the current state of Islamic education in Indonesia seems stagnant. The proliferation of educational partnerships extends broadly across diverse educational establishments, both formal and Islamic boarding schools. To notably elevate the quality of education, the researchers propose significant alternatives rooted in neuroscience, religious moderation, and knowledge management within Islamic education. The implications and contributions of this study aspire to enhance Islamic education and advance study-based learning in Islam, with the aim of captivating the attention of younger generations, notably millennials and Generation Z, within the realm of Society 5.0. This research is expected to serve as a platform and pivotal milestone in realizing a progressive and flourishing Islamic civilization in the forthcoming times.

Abstract

The integration of Information and Communication Technology (ICT) in teaching in the current era of the industrial revolution opens opportunities to enhance the learning experience and provide a more inclusive, innovative, and engaging education. One of the latest trends receiving attention in the field of education is the implementation of Interactive Websites through the Google Sites platform. Therefore, BDK Ambon, as an educational and training institution, conducts Multimedia Learning Training. In this training, the facilitator, represented by the trainer, conducts research to describe the training process for creating Google Sites as a Learning Portfolio. The research is carried out in Southeast Maluku Regency, involving 35 teachers. This research employs a descriptive survey method divided into three stages: the preparation stage, the implementation stage, and the evaluation stage. The research findings revealed that 90% of the teachers were unfamiliar with how to use Google Sites as a learning portfolio, as observed during the preparation phase. However, during the implementation phase of the training, the participants enthusiastically engaged in the training activities, and by the end of the session, they were capable of creating and utilizing Google Sites to support learning. Moving on to the evaluation phase, the results showed that all participants were categorized above the established standard. The scores of all participants fell into the categories of fairly competent, competent, and highly competent. This demonstrates the effectiveness of multimedia learning training and its ability to provide positive benefits for teachers. Looking ahead, it is necessary to conduct similar training to enable all teachers in the BDK Ambon working area to utilize and leverage technology to its fullest potential.

Abstract

The purpose of this study was to evaluate classical training (regular training and training in work areas) held by BDK Ambon using the level 1 and level 2 Kirkpatrick models. MTs in the Aru Islands. Based on the results of the Level 1 Evaluation, showed a positive reaction from the training participants with an average participant rating of regular training providers of 94.21 and 95.88 for training in the work area. The training participants were satisfied with the performance of the Ambon BDK training organizers. The highest score is in the aspect of participation in the determination of participants, namely 96.79 for regular training and 97.36 for training in work areas. Furthermore, the participant's assessment of the trainer showed an overall average score of 95.98 for regular training at BDK Ambon and 96.98 for training in work areas. These results indicate that the participants consider that the trainers is very competent, the training environment is very comfortable, and the methods used are effective in delivering training materials. Furthermore, based on the results of the level 2 evaluation regarding learning, it can be concluded that there has been an increase in knowledge, skills, and attitudes after attending the training. It can be ensured that training alumni not only have theoretical knowledge but are also able to apply it in practice. This can be seen from the training products in the form of learning videos, interactive quizzes, and learning blogs as well as Google Classroom as learning media made by participants during the training
