Abstract

This study aims to analyze the limitations of contextual learning models in environmental science education in madrasahs, explore the potential and challenges of developing mobile applications for inquiry-based learning, and examine students’ responses to using inquiry-based digital media in understanding environmental issues. This study uses a qualitative approach with a case study design. Data collection techniques were carried out through in-depth interviews, participatory observation, and documentation, which were analyzed using data reduction techniques, data display, and verification of findings. The study results indicate that conventional methods still dominate science learning in madrasahs and have not utilized contextual learning optimally. Teachers face challenges in the form of limited infrastructure, digital media, and low technological literacy. However, students responded positively to the interactive mobile application-based approach that supports the inquiry process. The implications of these findings emphasize the need to develop learning applications relevant to the local context and can increase students’ active involvement in understanding environmental issues. This study contributes to the innovation of technology-based science learning models in madrasah environments and as a reference for developing digital-based curricula oriented towards ecological literacy.

Abstract

This study examines the role of transformational leadership in stimulating teachers' intellectuality in curriculum development in Islamic educational institutions, especially in SMA Nurul Jadid. The main focus of this study is how the principal as a leader can build a culture of critical, reflective, and innovative thinking through participatory and visionary leadership strategies. This study uses an approach where the results of the study show that the role of the principal is very influential in creating a learning ecosystem that encourages teachers to be actively involved in curriculum development. Three main findings that support the intellectual stimulation process are: a culture of criticism and reflection that is systematically facilitated, a curriculum mentoring program between teachers that strengthens professional collaboration, and the provision of access to information that supports knowledge renewal. These three aspects show that transformational leadership is symbolic and has practical implications in improving the quality of the curriculum based on values and the needs of the times. This study makes an important contribution to the development of leadership theory in Islamic education and recommends strengthening leadership capacity based on continuous learning

Abstract

This study aims to evaluate the integration of educational technology in curriculum reform at pesantren-based vocational schools in responding to the challenges of the Industrial Revolution 4.0. The research employed a qualitative case study design. Data were collected through field observations, in-depth interviews, Focus Group Discussions, analysis of digital documents, and questionnaires administered to productive teachers and students of the Software Engineering and Computer and Network Engineering programs. The analysis process was carried out through data reduction, narrative presentation, and cross-verification among sources, using content, discourse, and interpretive analyses. The findings reveal that the use of the NOBOX.AI platform improved module completion rates by up to 73%, reduced assignment dropouts by 21%, and decreased paper usage. Industry collaboration through internships, teacher training, and teaching factory programs enhanced the relevance of students’ skills to real workplace demands. However, challenges such as limited digital infrastructure and teachers’ readiness remain significant obstacles. The implications of this study highlight the need to strengthen teacher capacity, expand equitable digital infrastructure, and ensure the sustainability of industry partnerships so that technology integration can truly foster an adaptive, relevant, and sustainable curriculum. These findings may serve as a valuable reference in formulating vocational education policies in pesantren-based contexts that are responsive to contemporary transformations.

Abstract

This study aims to examine the urgency of pedagogical interventions and the design of a nurturing learning environment in strengthening students’ mental health in secondary schools. The increasing phenomenon of psychosocial disorders such as stress, anxiety, and academic burnout demands an educational approach that is not only cognitive, but also affective and emotional. This study uses a qualitative approach with an exploratory case study design conducted in two secondary schools that have implemented a student well-being-based learning approach. Data collection techniques include in-depth interviews, participant observation, and documentation, which are analysed using the Miles and Huberman interactive model. The results of the study show three main findings: (1) the role of teachers as emotional mediators contributes significantly to creating a healthy psychological climate, (2) the design of a nurturing learning environment increases students’ emotional resilience, and (3) there is a lack of integration between formal school policies and pedagogical practices on mental health issues. The implications of this study indicate the need for educational policy reform that integrates socio-emotional aspects systematically in the curriculum, teacher training, and indicators of learning success. This study recommends strengthening teacher capacity in socio-emotional competencies and developing a more inclusive, ecosystem-based education model that emphasises emotional well-being.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the resilience of learning systems in responding to demographic changes through adaptive strategies and institutional collaboration. Using a descriptive qualitative approach, data were collected through in-depth interviews, participant observation, and documentation at several educational institutions facing the dynamics of cross-age student populations. The results of the study indicate that system resilience is built through curriculum reorientation, cross-generational teacher training, and flexible and technology-based learning management. These adaptive strategies are strengthened by collaborative practices between educational institutions, government, and communities that are systematically documented. These findings highlight the importance of institutional innovation that is responsive to social dynamics in achieving inclusive and sustainable education. This study recommends developing a collaborative model as a foundation for designing a future learning system that is resilient to demographic pressures.
