Abstract

This warning observes the law aspects viewed from the principles of law institution management in the Plan of Law Regulation in Higher Education. The writing focuses on the topics of non profit organization, autonomy, non discrimination issues which become the main vision in the regulation.Related to the higher education rules, this writing points out on the importance of: having legal institution and the process of its formation, the relationship among the similar institutions, the difference between foundation?s legal institution and education? legal institution and the fund of the institution.

Abstract

In precent time, civil society become important subject to be disscused. In indonesia, civil society (called Madani Society ) find relevant discourse, especially, in the term of modern moslem intelecluals thinking. There is a closed relation between civil society in general to the ?ummah concept? in the Holy Qur?an that has been conducted by islam is Madinah. The similarity of the two concepts, as a sample, are on the human-emansipation, otonomyfor society, political participations, free public sphere, pluralism, etc.

"The educatio of law does not produce skillful lawyer," said Ismail Saleh, the minister of law. Is it denoting that everything is dull in its curiculum? Abstract

Untuk sampai pada jalan perdaban humanis, tidak berlebihan jika sekiranya aliansi intelektual yang berkomitmen pada moralitas, terus dipacu untuk melakukan pembacaan ulang terhadap Islam. Pembacaan baru terhadap Islam yang tidak hanya bersifat liberal dan menekankan humanisme,tetapi juga mementingkan humanisasi ditengah laju kapitalisme global, adalah sebuah imajinasi Islam yang mesti dikembangkan.Dan Islam yang hanya menjadi imajinasi politik dan atau gerakan keagamaan saja, pada dasarnya akan mengkerdilkan Islam,dan sekaligus memarjinalkan peran-peran moral dan sosial umat Islam. Jihad intelektual merupakan keharusan historis untuk mencari makna baru Islam yang lebih konstektual.

Abstract

Abstract

wen Shaikh Ali Abd.al-raziq published his controversial book, al-islam wa usul al-hukkm (islam and the principles of goverment) in 1925, most of the Ulama out rightly  disseminating the poisonous political theory, completely dictated by western orientalists in order tu undermine Islam form wtihin. as we know, this egyptian author, an al-azhar garaduate, not only repudiated the shar;i based theory of the caliphate, but also stated that the prophet had no any political business.

Abstract

Academic Freedom can e regarded as the core spirit of unversity. It leads all human being which involved in this instutition to act based on the freedom of speech, the freedom of dialogue and the freedom of criticism. The right to publish many research findigs is another aspects of this concept. All students and lecturers are freely to do it without irrational interventaion or other kinds or threat. Five ages BC, Socrates proclaimed the spirit of academic freedom. His struggle againts government and sophist corruption led him to be a martyr. He was, however, remembered as the noted philosopher which his thought influenced modern philosphy. In the case of human relation to God, his philosophy insipired the dignity of human being. In the case of human relation of God, his philosopy inspired the dignity of human being. It is now called religious humanism. The nature of academic freedom refered to the truth of his philosophy.

Abstract

Pemberdayaan pada dasarnya menyangkut lapisan bawah atau lapisan masyarakat miskin yang tertindas oleh system dan struktur social. Untuk memberdayakan masyarakat lapisan bawah, ternyata tidak hanya system atau struktur social saja yang harus diubah. Aspek-aspek dasar yang dijadikan pedoman gerak langkah pun perlu dirubah. Semisal Muhammadiyah yang menjadikan Surat Al Ma?un sebagai landasan gerak social keagamaannya, Surat tersebut perlu dikaji ulang atau direinterprestasi. Setidaknya itu yang ditawarkan oleh M. Dawam Rahardjo, agar pemberdayaan masyarakat bawah lebih berhasil dan nyata hasilnya.

Abstract

Historically, moslems were the grear del of Indonesian people. Until recent times, they have a most strategic powers quantitatively. Unfortunely, it does not accompanied by their real role in the light of qualitative aspect. It can be traced into the economic and political authorities. Indonesian moslems, therefore, must reconstruct their real life to do the best for glory of Islam. They have to engineer a modern exaggeration of their teachings to manifest politcal engineering.
