Abstract

The development of wireless sensor network (WSN) technology has progressed very rapidly. These developments also triggered the development of wireless modules used in WSN. Xbee and ESP8266 are wireless modules that are often used to design wireless sensor networks. Xbee uses the IEEE 802.15.4 standard while ESP8266 uses the IEEE 802.11 b / g / n standard. In this research will be comparison of wireless modules between Xbee and ESP8266 to test the performance of the wireless module. Comparison is performed by testing the value of throughput, delay packet, and packet lost. The test will be applied to the air quality monitoring system using the MQ135 sensor. The result of the research is the comparison of parameters tested from both wireless modules.

Abstract

Change and Innovation continues as the times progress. Especially in the field of technology, one of which is the Internet of Things (IoT). With the existence of this technology, electronic devices can be connected to the internet. This will simplify the process of data transmission and device control. With this aim, the authors do research on the implementation of IoT technology on electronic devices, especially in the field of electricity. Electrical energy monitoring systems are used to detect the use of electrical energy used by the load. In this monitoring system, the measurement of the electric current using the current sensor. The measurement data made by the current sensor will be processed by the microcontroller. The research developed arduino-based monitoring systems and databases aimed at detecting and monitoring the use of electric current. In addition, it also performs analysis of data traffic from arduino devices and databases, to find out data delay, throughput or packet loss by using Wireshark.

Abstract

The growing use of the Internet resulted in the number of agencies that use two or more internet gateway paths or so-called Internet Service Providers (ISPs) to maintain network availability. Using two or more gateway paths allows break-up of connections on one of the gateway paths. This study aims to determine the effect of failover on SDN and conventional networks that are integrated with load balancing method of ECMP on MikroTik RB951-2n router device. The controller used on the SDN network is OpenDaylight. Testing is done by doing failover test which then data of bandwidth traffic from both network architecture recorded using Graphing tool from MikroTik. For average traffic efficiency without failover influence on conventional network better with difference of 9.8%. And with the difference in efficiency of 0.5% menunujukkan that the effect of failover on the SDN network is still better than the conventional network.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the signal quality of the building profile factor at the Ballroom of Tentrem Hotel Yogyakarta, organized by the value of RSL (Received Signal Level) as an indicator of signal strength level of each access point of the Tentrem Hotel Ballroom meeting room, and calculate other parameters such as EIRP (Effective Isotropic Radiated Power), free space loss with theoretical and measurement levels. Receive level signals in the field using the Netsurveyor and Vistumbler applications installed on the laptop and the Wifi Overview and Wifi Analyzer app installed on the smartphone. From the results of both RSL calculations in theory and its changes. Damping factors in the field such as diffraction effect, refraction, reflection, absorption or blocking. The average field summary shows the RSL values in turn "very good" and "good" there is no "low" indicator, the connection in every meeting room of Tentrem Hotel Ballroom is good and normal. Will, found some problems in the field that can cause a decrease in signal quality so that efforts need to optimition. Keywords: Wireless Local Network, Received Signal Level, Effective Isotropic Activated Power, free space loss.

Abstract

Currently the use of Cloud computing to meet human necessity was become more common. Cloud computing more comfort provide given because of his model is placed in a container and allows easily accessible according to necessity in various locations. One of the Cloud computing platform that is widely started using are Openstack , because of the ability to manage and regulate the entire system through a web-based dashboard, the command line and through RESTful API. One of the supporting components computing system on a platform Openstack is a project that serves as a Ceilometer telemetering data to present the results of the monitoring, but it is still the raw data that require interface for communication data and human beings. This research created a system of data visualization as an interface to use by admin and users in monitoring data usage per instance on a virtual laboratortium. The result from this research is web monitoring interface with differents graphic type and specification to engage admin requirement for analisys in virtual laboratory activity.
