Abstract

This study seeks to evaluate affects of competence, workload, and work discipline on performance of government employees within the agency. The research focused on a population of 150 permanent employees, from which a sample size of 110 was determined using Slovin formula with a 5% margin of error. Both interviews and questionnaires were used to obtain data. The study uses in addition to tests for validity, reliability, normality, multiple linear regression, coefficient of determination, t-tests, and f-tests to examine influence of each of the related independent variables on performance, both individually and jointly. The findings reveal that competence positively and significantly affects on employee performance, where as workload has a positive but statistically insignificant effect. Furthermore, a key and beneficial factor in increasing employee performance is work discipline. When analysed simultaneously, competence, workload and work discipline collectively demonstrate a substantial positive influence on employee performance, highlighting their importance in improving overall performance levels.

Abstract

One of the key factors influencing an economy's development is entrepreneurship. Students are supposed to gain knowledge and refine their entrepreneurship abilities at universities. The purpose of this study is to ascertain whether the state Islamic University of Raden Intan Lampung's entrepreneurship curriculum is successful in producing new Sharia entrepreneurs. A sample of 61 Bachelor S1 students enrolled in the Sharia Business Management Study program at UIN Raden Intan Lampung participated in this quantitative research study. SEM analysis utilising intelligent PLS software is the data analysis method employed in this investigation. Probability sampling is the sampling technique employed in this investigation. The study's findings suggest that UIN Raden Intan Lampung's entrepreneurship education is effective since it significantly and favourably influences students' interest in and capacity for sharia-based entrepreneurship at S1 UIN Raden Intan Lampung with Sharia Business Management Study program. The findings of this study are consistent with Ajzen and Fishbein's (1985) Theory of Planned Behaviour, which holds that training and education pertaining to entrepreneurship can be considered effective if there is a positive correlation between the development of intentions and an increase in ability and success in entrepreneurship. The focus on Sharia features or Islamic economic principles in entrepreneurship, which influence people's interest and aptitude for entrepreneurship, is where this study differs from earlier research.

Abstract

The study examines the impact of political instability on exchange rates while adjusting for economic growth and real interest rates from 1989 to 2020. After applying the VECM model, the findings indicate a short-term correlation between exchange rates and political instability. The results of the Granger causality suggest that exchange rate fluctuations and inflation rates are not directly caused by political instability. Additionally, the ARIMA model results indicate that political instability in the long run should be anticipated to cause minor fluctuations in exchange rates. Political unrest is forecast to level off between 2021 and 2040, with a subsequent increase in the exchange rate expected. It is recommended that policymakers deal with macroeconomic conditions that affect exchange rates, such as interest rates, to stabilize the economy and avoid excessive currency appreciation or depreciation.
