Abstract

Jakaba (perennial luck mushroom) is a fungus derived from the fermentation of rice laundry water (leri). This fungus has the same physical shape as coral but has a fragile texture. This study aims to find out the growth of jakaba with the addition of organic matter in rice laundry water. The research was conducted in Padang Halaban village, Aek Kuo District, Labuhan Batu Utara Regency, North Sumatra. The research was conducted by mixing 1 liter of leri water with 400 grams of organic ingredients such as bran, banana peel and catfish feed Research was carried out by repeating each treatment as much as 6 repetitions with the parameters of salting, namely aroma, color, growth and diameter of jakaba. Based on observations, it is known that the growth of jakaba fungus occurs on the 12th day to the 15th day with the largest jakaba diameter which is 52.9 mm (P2) and the smallest is 40.25 mm (P1). The addition of other organic matter to leri water gives a different aroma and color of jakaba to each treatment.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the technique of increasing the production of corn (Zea mays, l) varieties of lamuru, bisma, sukma raga with marginal critical land with the use of cow manureby North Aceh District. This research was carried out from June to November 2021, at the West Reuleut Gampong Garden, Muara Batu District, North Aceh Regency. This study used a 3 x 2 randomized block design and replicated 3 times. The first factor is varieties with 3 levels, name-ly: Bisma, Lamuru, and Sukmaraga varieties. The second factor is cow manure with 2 levels, namely 15 tons/ha and 20 tons/ha. Parameters observed were plant height, stem diameter, number of leaves, time of flower emergence, cob length, cob weight, length without cob, weightwithout cob, and weight of 1000 seeds. The results showed that the treatment of severalvarieties showed a very significant effect on almost all of the observed variables. The use of bisma varieties showed the best growth. The use of cow manure 15 tons/ha also gives the bestgrowth on almost all variables.

Abstract

The need for curly red chili plants for nutrients can be met with appropriate fertilization according to the needs of the plant itself, fertilization aims to improve plant fertility to plant growth. The purpose of this study was to determine the effect of npk16-16-16 fertilizer and application time on red chili plant growth. The research was conducted in Afdeling 2 plantation area, West Bila Subdistrict, Labuhanbatu Regency. This research was carried out from October 2021 to February 2022. The design used in this study was a randomized block design (RAK) and used a 3x3 factorial consisting of 2 factors. The first factor was the application of NPK 16 16 16 fertilizer with 3 levels, P1: a dose of 3 g/plant, P2: a dose of 6 g/plant, P3: a dose of 9 g/plant. The second factor is the application time of NPK 16-16-16 fertilizer with 3 levels, K1: once a week, K2: once every 2 weeks, K3: once every 3 weeks. Observational data were analyzed with a 5% level of variance to determine whether there was a significant difference between treatments. Followed by Duncan's New Multiple Range Test (DMRT) level 5% if there is a significant difference in each treatment. The results showed that the treatment at a dose of 9 g/plant gave a good trend in plant height growth. while the dose of 6 g/plant gave a tendency of good yields in all yields and several observations of the growth of flowering age and leaf area.

Abstract

Ultisol soils are agricultural lands in Indonesia, which are widely distributed, but have a problem, namely the element of N in the soil is relatively low, so it is necessary to do proper cultivation techniques, one of which is through the provision of balanced fertilizers, namely the application of organic fertilizers that aim to improve soil fertility and reduce soil fertility. use of NPK fertilizers. This study aims to determine the effect of giving various kinds of organic fertilizers, namely sometimes chicken and urea fertilizer on the chemical properties of Ultisol from Pangkatan. This research was carried out at the Agrotechnology Practice Field, Faculty of Science and Technology, Labuhanbatu Rantau Prapat University, with an altitude of 25 meters above sea level. The study began in February 2021 to June 2021. This study used a factorial Randomized Block Design (RAK) with 2 treatment factors. namely: Urea fertilizer factor with four levels and Chicken manure factor with three levels. Soil analysis parameters which include , pH H2O by electrometric method, determination of N-total soil by Kjehldal method, C-organic soil using Wakley and Black method. The results showed that the application of chicken manure was able to increase soil N-toatal in the Ultisol Rank soil, at a dose of U1K3 (Urea: 0.25g and Chicken Manure: 75g) while the interaction of urea and chicken manure application increased the N-total soil of Ultisol Rank with dose of U1K3 (Urea: 0.25g and Chicken Manure: 75g).

Abstract

communities in using natural resource areas. This study aims to determine the advantages of the agroforestry system, which is a mixture of albizia and mountain rice.  The agroforestry system gave the best growth of albizia  after three years.  The mean Annual Increment diameter and height of 3-year-old albizia plants in agroforestry systems were 14.02 cm and 7.19 m, respectively. The agroforestry system is also believed to reduce the number of forest damage because local people who originally stole forest wood have begun to be diverted to more productive planting activities with an intensification pattern. The involvement of local communities in business activities based on natural resource management in various forms is part of the concept of corporate social responsibility. The agroforestry system is superior to the intensive monoculture pattern because it can absorb more labor and increase the income of local communities, creating cooperation and togetherness between companies. Furthermore, an agroforestry system can reduce the number of forest and land fires because local communities, as arsonists, will help protect their land and crops.
