Abstract

This study aims to examine the relationship between Perceived Organizational Support (POS) and Job Satisfaction among contract educational staff at Universitas Negeri Padang (UNP). POS refers to employees' beliefs regarding the extent to which the organization values their contributions and cares about their well-being, while job satisfaction reflects an individual’s positive or negative attitude toward their work. A quantitative approach with a correlational design was employed. The population consisted of 488 contract staff, with a sample of 208 respondents selected through simple random sampling. Data were collected using the Perceived Organizational Support Scale developed by Eisenberger et al. (1986) and adapted by Syahputra et al. (2022), as well as the Job Satisfaction Survey (JSS) by Spector (1994), translated by Junaedi and Aisyah (2021). Data were analyzed using Spearman Rank correlation due to the non-normal distribution of the data. The results show a strong and significant positive relationship between POS and job satisfaction (ρ = 0.795; p < 0.001), indicating that higher perceived organizational support is associated with higher job satisfaction among contract staff. These findings support Organizational Support Theory and emphasize the critical role of organizational support in enhancing employees' psychological well-being and positive work attitudes. Theoretically, this study reinforces the literature on the POS–job satisfaction relationship within the higher education context, while practically offering recommendations for UNP’s management to develop human resource policies that are more supportive of contract employees.

Abstract

Strengthening primary healthcare services through the Integrated Primary Healthcare Service Program (Integrasi Pelayanan Kesehatan Primer, ILP) constitutes a strategic component of the national health system transformation, aiming to improve access to and the quality of community-based health services across the life cycle. This study aims to analyze the implementation of ILP in Nagari Kasang, focusing on program execution, operational mechanisms, community participation, and the enabling and inhibiting factors affecting implementation effectiveness. A descriptive qualitative method was employed, with data collected through in-depth interviews, field observations, and documentation. Informants included health center staff, posyandu cadres, village government officials, and community service users. The findings indicate that the ILP implementation follows the Ministry of Health guidelines, yet faces several challenges, such as limited infrastructure, inadequate training for cadres, and suboptimal cross-sectoral coordination. Community participation is notably high among mothers and children but remains low among adolescents and the elderly. Based on David C. Korten’s implementation theory, the relationship between the program, implementing organization, and target groups reflects a partial fit, indicating a lack of synergy among the key actors. These findings highlight the need to enhance cadre capacity, strengthen the role of community health centers, and ensure active support from local government to achieve more effective and sustainable ILP implementation.

Abstract

The rise of digital financial services such as Shopee PayLater has gained increasing popularity among university students due to the convenience and flexibility it offers in transactions. However, this ease of access also brings forth a range of consumer protection issues, including lack of transparency in information, potential misuse of personal data, and low consumer awareness of their rights. This study aims to analyze the implementation and influencing factors of consumer protection for Shopee PayLater users among students at Universitas Negeri Padang. A descriptive qualitative approach was employed, with primary data obtained through interviews with student users and lecturers knowledgeable about consumer protection issues, and secondary data sourced from regulations and official documents. Data were analyzed using John F. Kennedy’s theory of basic consumer rights, which includes the right to safety, the right to be informed, the right to choose, and the right to be heard. The findings reveal that the implementation of consumer protection in this context remains suboptimal. Data security systems lack transparency, service information is difficult to access due to complex terms and conditions, consumer choices are often influenced by aggressive promotions, and complaint mechanisms are not adequately responsive. Internal factors affecting consumer protection include low financial literacy and consumerist behavior among students, while external factors involve weak regulation, limited government oversight, and a lack of corporate social responsibility among digital service providers. These findings underscore the importance of synergy between government regulation, ethical business practices, and consumer legal awareness to foster fair and balanced digital transactions.

Abstract

Although digital transformation in education has been widely studied, research specifically focusing on the implementation of web-based Academic Information Systems (SIA) in resource-constrained secondary schools remains limited. This study aims to evaluate the effectiveness of a web-based SIA in improving the efficiency, accuracy, and transparency of academic administration at SMP 2 Kudus. A qualitative approach was employed using a participatory case study design, involving 15 participants including system operators, students, parents, and teachers. Data were collected through observation, interviews, and user surveys, and analyzed descriptively to assess system performance and user acceptance. The results indicate an 80 percent increase in administrative efficiency, a 90 percent reduction in data input errors, and a user satisfaction rate of 88 percent. These findings reinforce the relevance of the Technology Acceptance Model (TAM), which highlights perceived ease of use and perceived usefulness as key factors in technology adoption. The study concludes that successful digitalization in regional schools requires a participatory approach and user-centered system design. Its practical implications offer guidance for other schools seeking to sustainably adopt web-based academic information systems, while also contributing to the broader literature on digital transformation in basic education.

Abstract

Padang Barat District is a highly vulnerable area to tsunami hazards, yet it currently lacks a comprehensive spatial analysis–based mitigation strategy. This study aims to (1) map the areas most susceptible to tsunami risk to support mitigation planning in Padang Barat District, Padang City, and (2) analyze effective and applicable tsunami disaster mitigation strategies to minimize potential casualties and damages. A descriptive quantitative approach was employed, utilizing the Weighted Overlay method within a Geographic Information System (GIS) framework for vulnerability mapping, and the Interpretative Structural Modelling (ISM) method for formulating mitigation strategies. The mapping results indicate three levels of tsunami vulnerability: high (38.03%), medium (55.52%), and low (6.44%). ISM analysis identifies the determination of safe evacuation routes as the primary driving factor in effective mitigation. Key contributing factors to high vulnerability include the proximity to coastlines and rivers, low elevation, and relatively flat topography. The study concludes that the development of mitigation strategies must be grounded in spatial vulnerability analysis to enhance community preparedness and reduce potential tsunami impacts. This research provides practical contributions to area-based disaster planning and supports the formulation of mitigation policies in coastal regions.

Abstract

Although the digitalization of public administration has been widely studied, its application within socio-religious institutions such as BAZNAS remains underexplored. This study aims to evaluate the effectiveness of implementing a web-based Archival and Mail Tracking Information System in improving the efficiency, accuracy, and transparency of administrative governance at BAZNAS of Kudus Regency. A mixed-method approach was employed using a Participatory Action Research (PAR) design, involving the active participation of selected BAZNAS staff through purposive sampling. Data were collected through observation, interviews, and questionnaires, and analyzed using thematic and descriptive analysis techniques. The results demonstrate that the implementation of the digital system improved administrative record accuracy, accelerated mail handling processes, and enhanced public service transparency—particularly through the online tracking feature that enables mustahik to monitor the status of their correspondence in real time. These findings highlight the strategic role of archival digitalization in strengthening bureaucratic efficiency, increasing accountability, and building public trust in zakat management. The study concludes by emphasizing the importance of adopting participatory digital systems in religious institutions and recommends replicating this model in similar organizations as part of a broader effort to advance value-based digital transformation in public services.

Abstract

Financial literacy is an essential skill that directly influences individual well-being and quality of life, including within the educational context. As agents of change, madrasah teachers hold a strategic role in instilling literacy values in students; however, they continue to face challenges in managing personal finances due to limited income and low financial awareness. This community engagement initiative aimed to enhance the financial literacy of teachers at Madrasah Nurul Haq, Central Lombok, through an interactive workshop held on 11 June 2025, involving 20 participants. The implementation methods included socialization, material presentation, guided discussions, financial planning training, introduction to the myIFPE Syariah application, and evaluation through pre-test and post-test assessments. The results indicate an average increase of approximately 50% in participants’ financial literacy scores after the training. Participants responded positively to the content, considering it relevant, applicable, and beneficial for managing personal and household finances. Challenges such as limited access to digital devices and varying levels of digital literacy were effectively addressed through intensive mentoring and the provision of spreadsheet-based alternatives. This initiative proved effective in raising financial awareness and enhancing teachers’ financial management capacity and is recommended to be continued through the establishment and strengthening of financial literacy groups within the madrasah environment.

Abstract

Digital transformation in school attendance processes continues to advance, yet studies on the implementation of web-based attendance systems using QR Code scanning at regional lower secondary schools remain limited. This study aims to evaluate the implementation of a web-based Student and Teacher Attendance Information System using QR Code at SMP Negeri 2 Kudus in improving the accuracy of attendance recording, accelerating recap processes, and reducing reliance on manual record-keeping. The research employed a qualitative approach with a descriptive case study design, involving five respondents consisting of the system operator and four student representatives. Data were collected through observation of attendance activities, structured interviews, and analysis of attendance recap documents before and after system implementation. The findings show that the QR Code-based attendance system is capable of accelerating the daily attendance process by up to 70 percent, reducing the potential for data duplication and manipulation by 87 percent, and enhancing the readability and real-time availability of attendance reports. In addition, users reported a satisfaction level of 82 percent, particularly regarding ease of access and the practicality of using QR Codes. These results indicate that the success of the implementation is influenced by the alignment of system features with user needs and the support of school infrastructure. The study concludes that digitizing attendance through QR Code represents an effective model for improving the quality of attendance administration in regional lower secondary schools and provides practical insights for other institutions seeking to adopt similar systems.

Abstract

Although issues of leadership and organizational culture change in Islamic religious higher education institutions undergoing digital transformation have been discussed in several studies, research that specifically examines transformational leadership strategies in building an adaptive organizational culture within cyber-based work systems remains limited. This study aims to analyze transformational leadership strategies in responding to the challenges of digitalization to strengthen an innovative and collaborative organizational culture. A descriptive qualitative approach with a case study design was employed, involving leaders, lecturers, and students selected through purposive sampling. Data were collected through in-depth interviews, document analysis, and literature review, and subsequently analyzed using thematic analysis techniques. The findings show that transformational leadership is enacted through four main dimensions: role modeling, inspirational motivation, intellectual stimulation, and individualized consideration. The implementation of these strategies has been shown to enhance the digital literacy of the academic community, strengthen work motivation, and encourage the development of an organizational culture that is adaptive to technology. These findings contribute theoretically to the development of transformational leadership studies in the context of digital transformation and broaden understanding of organizational culture development in Islamic religious higher education institutions. The study underscores the crucial role of transformational leadership in steering change toward progressive, globally competitive cyber-based work systems, while also opening avenues for further exploration of the challenges and strategies for strengthening digital culture in religious institutions.

Abstract

Although the measurement of library service satisfaction indices has been widely discussed, the implementation of web-based satisfaction index information systems at the school level, where manual methods are still used, has rarely been examined. This study aims to assess the effectiveness of a web-based library satisfaction index information system at Perpustakaan Vidyatama SMP Negeri 2 Kudus in improving the efficiency of data collection, the accuracy of score processing, and the quality of reporting. The research adopts the waterfall development model, encompassing the stages of needs analysis, design, implementation, and testing. Data were obtained through observation of manual survey processes, interviews with librarians, and system trials. The system was developed using Laravel and MySQL, and includes features for online survey completion, automatic index calculation using weighted averages, and the presentation of informative reports. The findings show increased speed of recap processes, reduced risk of data loss, and improved accuracy of survey results. These results underscore the importance of library service digitalization and demonstrate that a web-based satisfaction index information system can serve as an effective solution for improving service evaluation processes, while also providing a practical reference for other schools wishing to adopt similar satisfaction evaluation systems.
