Abstract

The purpose of this study is to provide opportunities for teachers to gain, strengthen and increase knowledge and experience about online-based Japanese language learning models, explore online-based Japanese language learning models that can be used in their classroom contexts and apply learning models Japanese in their respective classes effectively. The target of this activity is Japanese language teachers at the SMA/SMK/MA level throughout Indonesia. This activity was carried out online through three webinars which were mapped into three stages. The first stage is the distribution of questionnaires containing questions regarding experiences of exploring and using online-based learning models before being given training. This stage was not carried out via webinar but was collected via a Google form which was sent to the participants. The data was processed to obtain their background regarding their experience of using online-based Japanese language learning models in their respective schools. The second stage included two webinars that presented presentations and simulations from experts and practitioners of online-based Japanese language learning models, especially in teaching letters, vocabulary, grammar and skills including listening, reading, writing and speaking. The final stage is practice in the form of a simulation for the participants in using online-based Japanese language learning models which have been presented in two webinars. At the end of the activity, a questionnaire containing questions about experiences and impressions of using online-based learning models after training will be distributed. Through this training activity, it is hoped that Japanese language teachers in Indonesia can apply existing online-based learning models effectively so that the predetermined learning competencies can be achieved and students become competent in Japanese.

Abstract

Penggalakan kegiatan pengajaran BIPA sebagai salah satu tahapan tujuan internasionalisasi bahasa Indonesia mengakibatkan beberapa permasalahan. Permasalahan itu adalah pengenalan BIPA sebagai softskill dan kebutuhan para pengajar BIPA profesional yang semakin meningkat tidak diseimbangi oleh kualitas para pengajar BIPA yang tersedia. Menjawab permasalahan itu, Program Studi Pendidikan Bahasa dan Sastra Indonesia, Fakultas Pendidikan Bahasa dan Sastra, Universitas Pendidikan Indonesia (Prodi Diksatrasia FPBS UPI) merasa terpanggil untuk menyelenggarakan kegiatan pelatihan dan lokakarya tambahan sebagai bekal para pengajar atau calon pengajar BIPA. Kegiatan pelatihan dan lokakarya BIPA ini dapat menjadi wahana untuk memfasilitasi calon pengajar, para pengajar, dan pegiat yang ingin meningkatkan pemahaman dan kepekaan pengajaran bahasa Indonesia sebagai bahasa asing dalam memilih metodologi pengajaran bahasa, memahami ihwal ke-BIPA-an, memanfaatkan media, memilih konten materi BIPA yang sesuai, penggunaan bahan ajar BIPA, dan mengevaluasi pengajaran bahasa. Kegiatan pengabdian ini menggunakan ceramah, diskusi, pemodelan, dan microteaching sebagai pendekatan yang komprehensif untuk mendukung pemahaman dan pengembangkan kemampuan pengajaran Bahasa Indonesia bagi Penutur Asing (BIPA). Kegiatan pengabdian pada masyarakat ini dibagi menjadi tahap persiapan dengan mempersiapkan tempat dan publikasi, akomodasi, serta sarana dan prasarana kegiatan, tahap pelaksanaan yang dilaksanakan dalam 2 hari yang mencakup pelatihan dan lokakarya, dan tahap evaluasi dengan upaya untuk terus memperbaiki dan mengembangkan program pelatihan dan lokakarya metodologi pengajaran BIPA. Dengan simpulan program ini menjadi langkah penting dalam mendukung internasionalisasi Bahasa Indonesia dan meningkatkan kualitas pengajaran BIPA di wilayah Jawa Barat serta dapat menjadi contoh positif untuk program serupa di tempat lain.

Abstract

Saat ini terjadi penurunan drastis jumlah pemelajar bahasa Indonesia di Australia, khususnya di tingkat sekolah dan universitas. Sebagai dukungan terhadap misi internasionalisasi bahasa Indonesia, Prodi Diksatrasia FPBS UPI berupaya untuk berkontribusi dalam upaya penanggulangannya dengan menyelenggarakan kegiatan Penguatan Kompetensi Pedagodgik dan Profesional Pengajaran Bahasa Indonesia bagi Penutur Asing (BIPA) dengan melibatkan para pengajar BIPA dan diaspora Indonesia di Australia. Kegiatan ini diharapkan dapat mendorong ketersediaan guru BIPA yang berkualifikasi sebagai unjuk tombak pembelajaran bahasa dan budaya Indonesia di sekolah-sekolah Australia. Untuk itu, sejumlah dosen dari Prodi Diksatrasia FPBS UPI yang tentunya memiliki kepakaran serta rekam jejak yang relevan akan berperan sebagai panitia dan narasumber untuk menjawab kondisi yang disampaikan melalui pendekatan terkoordinasi berbagai pihak, termasuk universitas.

Abstract

Studi ini dilakukan di dalam konteks bahasa Perancis khusus untuk pariwisata atau le Francais sur l’objectifs specifiques (FOS) yang setara dengan ESP untuk bahasa Inggris. Para (calon) pegiat pariwisata di kota Bandung memerlukan bahasa Perancis dasar untuk bidang perhotelan dan rastauasi karena mereka tidak memiliki dan tidak pernah belajar bahasa Perancis untuk meningkatkan profesionalismenya. Berkat kerja sama dengan Politeknik STP NHI kota Bandung, ada 25 responden yang bisa direkrut yang terbagi ke dalam dua kelompok yaitu (a) pegiat dan (b) calon pegiat pariwisata bidang perhotelan dan restaurasi. Tujuan utama yang ingin dicapai adalah melakukan pengembangan materi bahasa Perancis untuk bidang perhotelan dan restaurasi bagi (calon) pegiat pariwisata. Metode yang digunakan adalah deskripsi kualitati dengan Teknik wawancara dan studi dokumen. Hasilnya diperoleh pokok-pokok bahasan yang relevan berdasarkan pendekatan subjektif/objektif.

Abstract

A good learning process will have an impact on good results too. Good learning must of course be supported by adequate facilities or teaching media that are in line with students' needs. Especially for students with disabilities who have limitations, one of the disabled people with physical limitations is the blind, namely children who have problems with their sense of sight. In Indonesia, quite a few special schools still lack varied learning facilities, one of which is in Cicalengka, more precisely at SLB A YPKR Cicalengka. The lack of facilities for learning while playing at Special Schools causes students to be less than optimal in the learning process. The focus of this activity is blind students and teachers at SLB A YPKR Cicalengka. Cards written in braille which can also be called “Kartu Braille Bertanya” are a medium for students and teachers to carry out interactive learning activities. These “Kartu Braille Bertanya” help teachers to guide students through exciting learning and more varied learning, from reading, speaking and expressing feelings.

Abstract

An important aspect of children's development is how they learn to speak and use language. Language and speech will be their main tools to communicate and socialize with others. However, some children experience difficulties in developing language and speech that prevent them from expressing themselves. This challenge is commonly referred to as speech delay. In response to the critical need to address speech delay in children, we have developed an innovative initiative called Bestari App. It is a digital bibliotherapy application designed to provide customized support to children with language learning challenges, particularly those with speech delays. The app is still in the development stage. Therefore, our study aims to investigate the effectiveness of the Bestari App in improving the language skills of children with speech delays. In this research, we conducted an experimental study using the case study method with the object of 2 (two) 10-year-old students who indicated speech delay. The experiment involved a series of six sessions using intervention techniques and instructional methods facilitated through the use of the Bestari application. Based on the following method, the results of the study were an increase in the post-test score of AD by 77% with an initial score of 35 to 62 and AT by 33% with an initial score of 62 to 82. From these results, it can be concluded that the Bestari App is effective enough to improve language skills in children with speech delay. However, the application still needs further development to maximize the existing results.
