Abstract

To be able to write, especially to write a narrative essay, students must first have an idea, the idea of ​​a skeleton events (conflict) at the same time and place the background. After that, then he can develop his idea into a narrative essay narrative intact. To that end, students need something that can be used as a source of inspiration or a source of ideas rather narrative. Temporal, cards quartet is four (quartet), each card contains a picture that explains the subtitle, while each card is linked to a subtitle headline. For example, the "Quartet" comprising the quartet cards headline "Berpariwisata", while each of the subheadings contained in a sequence of four cards is "Departure, Play, Home, and Accidents". On each card there is a picture that explains the subtitle of each. Thus, subtitled subtitled-card which is a series of events (in order) can be used as a source of ideas a narrative. Abstract

Judul penelitian ini adalah Praanggapan dalam Kartun Sukribo pada Surat Kabar Harian Kompas. Kartun pada umumnya bersifat lucu dan menghibur merupakan salah satu bentuk wacana humor, karena di dalamnya terdapat tuturan-tuturan yang berkesinambungan yang ada dalam ragam bahasa humor. Kartun Sukribo adalah kartun yang terdapat pada koran Kompas yang termasuk koran nasional. Kartun Sukribo secara berkala muncul di harian Kompas edisi Minggu. Untuk memunculkan praanggapan dari kartun tersebut perlu diketahui partisipan, pengetahuan bersama, dan konteks situasinya. Kemudian praanggapan kartun Sukribo ditentukan jenis praanggapannya. Adapun setelah penelitian dilakukan kartun Sukribo edisi Maret, April, Mei 2012 memiliki enam jenis praanggapan, yaitu praanggapan eksistensial, praanggapan faktual, praanggapan leksikal, praanggapan non-faktual, praanggapan struktural dan praanggapan konterfaktual. Dari duabelas kartun Sukribo yang diteliti oleh peneliti terdapat empat puluh dua praanggapan masing-masing diantaranya 9 praanggapan eksistensial, 14 praanggapan faktual, 6 praanggapan leksikal, 11 praanggapan non-faktual, 1 praanggapan struktural dan dan 1 untuk praanggapan konterfaktual.           Kata kunci: Praanggapan, kartun. Abstract

Tuturan yang terjadi antara kru bus (kondektur dengan supir) atau antara kru bus dengan penumpang dan calon penumpang. Teriakan kata-kata makian atau kata-kata kasar sering terjadi bahkan kata-kata kasar merupakan hal yang biasa bagi mereka. Kadang kala supir memanggil kondekturnya dengan nama binatang misalnya ‘kancil’, ‘nggala (bengkala)’, ‘kera’ dan lain-lain. Fenomena kebahasaan di atas adalah penggalan beberapa kalimat yang diucapkan supir kepada kondekturnya. Seharusnya supir tidak mengeluarkan kata-kata kasar kepada kondekturnya agar tercipta jalinan kerja yang baik dan penumpang pun merasa nyaman. Kata Kunci : Tuturan Kru Bus, Kabanjahe

Abstract

The results of studies that have been done when the author followed the practice field in 2010 showed the students' writing skills are at unfavorable category. This phenomenon is empirical evidence that shows students still believe that learning to write is difficult. This thinking is motivated by traditional learning. Alignments as a learning center teacher (Teacher Centered Learning) is often implemented in schools. Such circumstances affect the mindset of the students. So comes the difficulty of writing in their minds, and even the ability to build a low paragraphs. Therefore, constructive learning model as a foundation for contextual learning (Contextual Teaching Learning) appropriately used to improve students' writing. Constructive model is based on the constructivist philosophy that was born from the idea of ​​Piaget and Vigotsky. In simple constructive knowledge is assumed that construction (formation) of us who know something. Constructive is the process of building new knowledge in students' cognitive structure based on experience. Teacher in charge of creating a meaningful learning experience for students, which in turn will spur students to be active and creative ideas poured into the form of a paragraph contains the knowledge or exposition. Abstract

The use of multimedia to create creativity, fun and not boring, to train children to think logically, to develop students' ideas, helping children to understand the problem easily and quickly. Multimedia is media that involves several types of media to stimulate all the senses in the learning activities. Media is designed to address students 'difficulty in understanding a problem and can improve students' ability to understand the abstract concepts more easily. These criteria will help the students to remember the concept of writing essays and narrative elements that are learning less attractive to them. Abstract

Method of Image Streaming (jetting shadow), an activity to let the shadows come and appear before the eyes of your mind. But do not consciously decide the content of these images. And while you view the images, describe aloud to an external focus (tape recorder or listener) the content of these images in detail (Wenger, 2011: 308). Image Streaming (drainage shadow) connects directly powers the verbal conscious mental powers are much richer, smoother, and more thorough. These resources more quickly and easily into private property and those who are rich and insightful eventually become part of an ongoing conscious perception. Drainage of the shadow caused some parts of the brain and mind work together more closely. This integration build balance, strengthen the weak points and to quickly increase the strength of intellectual child.

Abstract

Oral literature is the literary expression of literature that includes citizens, a culture that spread and handed down orally (word of mouth). Because of its spread from mouth to mouth, oral literature will be easy to fade. For that the solution offered is to raise the research on oral stories to maintain the existence of the oral literature. Legend of Batu Sigadap is one form of oral literature Batak Toba community property, which is precisely Silalahi Silahisabungan District, Dairi. This study aimed to describe the composition of the stories and events that happened in the legend  Batu Sigadap, structured and translated into a story and explore the cultural values ​​contained therein. This research is a qualitative descriptive study, prioritize the meaning and context, the role of researcher of high demand. Informants in this study there were seven people in the two cultural experts Silalahi, one Raja Adat in Silalahi, three people Silalahi, and one journalist in Silalahi. The latter finding of this study is that there are eight cultural values, cultural values ​​of the nine major Batak Toba in  Batu Sigadap story, the cultural values ​​of kinship, religion, conflict, law, hasangapon, hamoraon, hagabeon and protection. Based on this research, the value of cultural kinship says there are five events, religion and conflict each said there are three events, while the value of legal culture, hasangapon, hamoraon, hagabeon each said there are two events and cultural values ​​aegis of the event said. Batu Sigadap oral literature, which is considered as a judge in the Silalahi believed to have supernatural powers to know the truth, based on research, until now Batu Sigadap still feared and trusted, which is why Batu Sigadap Silalahi sacred by the community.   Key word: Cultural values, Batak Toba, Oral Literature, Batu Sigadap.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk: (1) Mendeskripsikan realisasi kesantunan berbahasa di lingkungan sekolah, (2) Mendeskripsikan pelanggaran prinsip kesantunan yang terjadi pada percakapan di lingkungan sekolah, (3). Mendeskripsikan tingkat  kesantunan berbahasa siswa yang terjadi di lingkungan sekolah. Sumber data  dalam penelitian ini adalah percakapan yang diperoleh dari rekaman percakapan di lingkungan SMP Negeri 5 Binjai baik di kelas maupun di luar kelas. Adapun percakapan yang di teliti adalah percakapan siswa dengan siswa dan siswa dengan guru. Hasil dari penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa (1) Kesantunan berbahasa sangat dipengaruhi oleh jarak atau hubungan status antara penutur dengan mitra tutur. Semakin dekat jarak hubungan sosial kedua peserta tutur maka semakin tidak santun bahasa yang disampaikan. Sebaliknya semakin jauh jarak hubungan sosial maka semakin santunlah tuturan di antara peserta tutur. (2) Dalam percakapan di Lingkungan Sekolah SMP Negeri 5 Binjai percakapan yang santun di tandai dengan terpenuhinya prinsip kesantunan Leech yaitu skala ketidaklangsungan sedangkan pelanggaran yang ditemukan adalah pelanggaran pada maksim kebijaksanaan dan pelanggaran skala ketidaklangsungan, (3) Dari hasil penelitian yang telah dilakukan tingkat kesantunan berbahasa di Lingkungan Sekolah SMP Negeri 5 Binjai dapat dikatakan cukup santun karena dari hasil penelitian tuturan yang memenuhi prinsip kesantunan berbahasa Leech lebih banyak ditemukan dari pada yang melanggar prinsip kesantunan berbahasa Leech. Kata Kunci : Kesantunan Berbahasa, Pragmatik, Skala Kesantunan.
