Abstract

Simple, rapid, accurate and specific RP-HPLC method has been developed for quantitative estimation ofAbiraterone acetate in bulk and tablet. Separation was attained by using Acclaim C18 column (50mm x4.6 mm, 5) at 25C and 80:20 v/v acetonitrile:ammonium acetate buffer(10mM) of pH 6.0 with flow rateof 1ml/min as mobile phase and the drug was detected at 254 nm. Analytical method was said to belinear over a range of 0.125-60 g/ml with correlation constant of 0.999. Method was appeared to beprecise, robust and rugged. LOD and LOQ were found to be 10 ng/ml and 50 ng/ml respectively and themean recovery value as 100.52%.Stability indicating capability of this method has been demonstrated byanalyzing stressed samples of drug and found labile to acidic, alkaline, oxidative, thermal and photolyticconditions. Above method was applied for the estimation in API, formulation and dissolution testing ofthe dosage form. Percentage assay of the formulation was found to be 101.66%w/w. Drug released to anextent of 85.29% at 30 minutes as per FDA published method. Thus, the analytical procedure is reliableand offers advantage in terms of speed; so could be effectively used for the routine quality controlpurpose.

Abstract

The aerosols such as gas borne suspension of solid or liquid particles are used for therapeutic applications of lung and other systemic diseases. These inhaled pharmaceutical aerosols deliver drug (active pharmaceutical ingredient) to the alveolar region to the blood in the capillaries. The injectable drugs are significantly administered by inhalation. There are so many drug delivery systems of inhaled pharmaceuticals are available. The metered dose inhaler, dry powder inhaler and nebulizers drug delivery systems are most famous. The development of suitable drug delivery system of inhaled pharmaceuticals for new drugs is very simple at this modern times technology. This review deals about inhaled pharmaceutical aerosols and its studies including particle size and adhesive forces of aerosol particles. Keywords: Dry powder inhaler, pharmaceutical inhalation, drug delivery, lung

Abstract

The levels of TNF-α, TFN-β, IFNγ and IL-10 in the venous blood serum and the ejaculate from 80 men with sexually transmitted infections – the main group (MG) were studied. All men of OG were divided into 2 groups: 40 men with chronic viral urethritis (genital herpes – herpetic urethritis (HU)) and 40 men with viral-bacterial urethritis (genital herpes in conjunction with clamidiosis – herpetic-chlamydial urethritis (HCU)). The comparison group (control group) consisted of 20 apparently healthy male volunteers. More pronounced disorders of local and systemic immunity in the group of men with urethritis of viral and bacterial origin were found in both in venous blood serum and in the ejaculate. Keywords: cytokines, ejaculate, herpes, clamidiosis.

Abstract

Hemorrhoid diseaseoccursfollowing the blood-filling of vascular structures of submucosal networks in the anal area. Patients usually feel no painsand the symptoms include a feeling of rectal congestion, mucus secretion, and bright red blood dripping. Surgical treatment is of the most common treatment methods of hemorrhoid. In addition to the usual treatments, classic therapies and complementary medicine are also applied. Medicinal herbs have been traditionally a source for the treatment of many diseases. Many native medicinal plants of Iran have had effective properties on hemorrhoid. Thus, in this review, the effective medicinal plants of Iranian ethnobotanical resources on hemorrhoid were reported. In this review study, a search for articles by the keywords hemorrhoid, ethnobotanical, and medicinal plants was done. A search on the databases, such as Scopus, ISI C, S ID, MegIran, and a number of other databases was performed. Based on the results obtained, 11 herbs from different parts of Iran are traditionally used to treat anorexia. Such medicinal plants as pistachio from mountainous trees, yarrow, camel thorn, etc. are of the effective herbs on hemorrhoid. Keywords: gastrointestinal tract, Hemorrhoid, Medicinal herb, Iranian ethnobotany.

Abstract

BackgroundBased on previous experiments with a limited number of samples, it seems that the use of anticoagulants(heparin or subcutaneous high dose heparin) reduces by 50%of the progression of left ventricular embolism. In this study, we determined to investigate the incidence and factors associated with left ventricular thrombusin patients with acute myocardial infarction admitted to Seyyed-al- shohada University Hospital.MethodsIn this analytic cohort study, patients with myocardial infarction were included and risk factors of LV clotfollowing of myocardial infarction as, diabetes mellitus, smoking, hypertension, dyslipidemia, higher age, gender, extent of cardiac involvement, LV diastolic dysfunction and reperfusion were evaluated. Also, otherechocardiographic parameters as LV size, LV systolic and diastolic dysfunction, assessed and recorded in acheck list. Finally effect of each factor on incidence of LV clot was evaluated separately.ResultsIn our study, we found no significant association between underlying disease, diabetes, history of prior MI,history of hyperlipidemia, smoking and SK infusion, but there was a significant association between the typeof MI and clots in the left ventricle. In this study, we found no significant association between the incidence ofthrombus within the left ventricle and Primary PCI. Also receiving Heparin and/or Enoxaparin and Metoral arenot significantly associated with LV clots. However, there is no significant association between LV size andcount of involved leads in the incidence of left ventricular thrombus. Conclusion: Finally, according to the results of the study it can be said that the time from onset of the pain untilrevascularization in the hospital, had an important role in preventing LV clots and the outcomes of the patient.Key words: Incidence, risk factors, LV clot, myocardial infarction.

Abstract

Sleep is a complex biological pattern and one of the circadian rhythm. Insomnia referring to difficulty falling asleep or staying asleep, or lack of sleep, which is tonic and refreshing, is one of the most common disorders of this pattern. Some of the complications of sleep deprivation are weakened immune system, reduced glucose tolerance, reduced hypothalamic-pituitary-adrenal axis activity during subsequent days, hypertension, decreased level of maximum ability to exercise, non-dependently increased risk of cardiovascular events, and talent. In the light of the significance of sleep, appropriate treatment of insomnia, and high prevalence of insomnia in the community, a strategy to treat insomnia can be development of a specific therapeutic strategy and nature-based, complementary medicines. This review article seeks to report the effective medicinal plants on insomnia according to the ethnobotanical references of Iran. According to the findings, 17 plant species from 11 families have been used for prevention and treatment of insomnia n Iran.

Abstract

This study aims to investigate the effects of team-orientation of the organizations on the increase in organizational learning and management effectiveness of the staff worked in the Maskan Bank in West Azarbaijan Province. The population of this study included the staff of Maskan Banks in West Azarbaijan Province (322 staff). The sample size was estimated equal to 175 staff by the use of Cochran formula and stratified random sampling method. Data collection tools were the standard team-orientation inventory, standard organizational learning inventory and standard management effectiveness inventory which were used after investigating their validities and reliabilities. Their reliabilities were estimated equal to 0.849. The inventories were collected and the obtained data was classified and analyzed by the use of descriptive and inferential statistics (path analysis with SPSS software and Amos software). The results of path analysis showed that the dimensions of organization’s team-orientation indirectly affect the management effectiveness through the increased organizational learning in Maskan Bank in West Azarbaijan Province.Key words: organization’s team-orientation, management effectiveness, organizational learning
