Abstract

Asian tiger shrimp (Penaeus monodon) shell is an industrial waste which becomes one of the sources of carotenoids in the form of astaxanthin (3.3’-dihydroxy-β, β′-carotene-4.4′-dione) which has a very potential biological activity because it can work on target molecules. Astaxanthin in Asian tiger shrimp shell is well known to be lipophilic, being insoluble in water but soluble in organic solvents, one of which acetonitrile. The characteristics of astaxanthin were obtained through qualitative and quantitative analyses using FTIR (Fourier Transform Infra-Red) and HPLC (High Performance Liquid Chromatography). Furthermore, antibacterial and anti-inflammatory activities had been tested. Based on the research results done on the inhibition of Asian tiger shrimp (Penaeus monodon ) shell extract on the 5th growth of the test bacteria, the tiger shrimp shell extract had antibacterial activity on Eschericia coli., Streptococcus mutans, Pseudomans auriginosa, Salmonella typhi, Staphylococcus aureus which was characterized by the presence of clear zone / inhibition zone / Oligodynamic zone which showed the effect of tiger shrimp shell extract in killing and inhibiting the growth of test bacteria. Besides, An anti-inflammatory testing through extracting chemical components with acetonitrile solvent with several concentrations showed that the anti-inflammatory activity with a concentration of 1000 ppm with % stability on erythrocyte membrane obtained 60.516%, indicating that the higher the concentration used, the better was the anti-inflammatory effect.

Abstract

Paracetamol has been the highly usage drug in the world which increased environmental pollution, it has been effected in human life, flora and fauna in the world. Adsorption technique was used to remove paracetamol from water using CNT/TiO2 nanoparticles; the TiO2 was developed from CNT/TiO2 nanoparticles. The experiments were carried out to drug uptake by CNT/TiO2 nanoparticles and effect of some experimental factors like temperature, initial drug concentration, adsorbent dosage, , and particle size in solution, also the adsorption equilibrium was characterized using Langmuir and Freundlich isotherm models. The results have shown immense potential, it was found that correlation coefficient value deal with of the drug, while Langmuir equation was found a good correlation of drug. Keywords: Adsorption, Pharmaceutical, Paracetamol, TiO2, Isotherm models, CNT.

Abstract

Wet chemical harmonics provide the ability to mimic the control of a number of nanoparticle characteristics, including size, shape, and distribution in both water and organic solvents, and the chemistry of custom-made surfaces due to unique applications. There is a rapid need for large volumes around the fixing of connectors or surfactants at some stage of the synthesis in proportion to the properties of nanoparticles. The liquid / anti-liquid solvent pair (usually Ethanol / Toluene and Ethanol / Hexane because of the gold nanoparticles, GNP) remains old in line with both partially modified and purified nanoparticles. We reserve the dispersion of neutrons at a small angle (SANS) according to the verification of the ligand form however response of modified alkanethiol gold order of silver nanoparticles under various condition to combat solvent (CO2 ethanol). Legend lengths and solvent ligand for kanithol riches, however, silver NPs have been determined to decrease along with high anti-solvent concentrations that immediately affect the dispersion of the solution. This research led to an increased appreciation for liquid precipitation procedures due to metallic nanoparticles, yet provides vital consequences for modeling the strength of future interaction. Keywords: Wet synthesis, Biomedical application, Bone Regeneration, UV-ViS.
