Abstract

Hemorrhoids are the most common proctological diseases affecting an average of 12 people out of 100. Hemorrhoid affects more than 10 % of the adult population of the planet, and the proportion of the total number of proctological diseases is 40 %. Hemorrhoid is the most common reason to see a proctologist. Therefore, the problem of choosing the tactics of treatment of this category of patients remains relevant. If constipation is called “intellectual disease”, then hemorrhoid is called “royal disease”. Men and women suffer from this disease equally. In women, exacerbation of hemorrhoid often occurs during pregnancy, usually in the last trimester. Sooner or later, enlargement of the hemorrhoid appears in most people. The objective of this work is the development of extemporaneous ointment for the treatment of proctologic diseases. To achieve this goal the following tasks were solved: the literature on the current state of such diseases as hemorrhoids has been analyzed and summarized; the range of medicines used to treat hemorrhoids has been analyzed. As a result the composition of the combined ointment for the treatment of hemorrhoid has been substantiated and its technology has been developed, the stability and microbiological purity of the created extemporaneous combined ointment has been studied.

Abstract

A series of  [M(Q)(L)] (where M=Co(II),Ni(II) ,Cu(II), Zn(ll),Cd(ll) and Pd(II) , Q=8-hydroxylquinoline and L= dithiocarbamate ligand) complexes have been  prepared. The new dithiocarbamate compound was characterized using elemental analyses, FT-IR, UV-VIS spectroscopy magnetic moments, 1H and 13C NMR for ligands, thermal gravimetric analysis (TGA), differential thermal gravimetric (DTG). The antibacterial activities of synthesized compound were studied against Esherichia Coli, Staphylococcus aureus, Proteus mirabilis and Pseudomons aerugino, for antifungal activity against Candida albicans and Candida tropicalisKeywords: Mixed ligand complexes, Dithiocarbamate, Spectral dat.

Abstract

Background: Diabetes mellitus (DM) is a chronic disease that requires medical treatment and education to prevent acute or chronic complications. Until today, there have been no published records in the incidence of DM in Bali. The goal of this study was to observe the characteristics of patients who visited Diabetic Center of Sanglah General Hospital in 2018. Methods: This was a cross-sectional, retrospective study. The subjects of this study were all patients newly-diagnosed with DM, aged 18 or older, who came to the Diabetic Center of Sanglah General Hospital. The sampling method was all-inclusive sampling. We recorded the age, sex, body height, body weight, body mass index (IMT), baseline fasting blood sugar, and baseline HbA1C. The data were analyzed descriptively.  Results: In 2018, 1,145 patients visited the Diabetic Center of Sanglah General Hospital. The majority of the subjects were men (66.11%), with the most frequent age-group was the 50-69 years age group (69.08%). As many as 117 patients received OADs as initial therapy, while 840 received insulin, and the remaining 665 received a combination of both OAD and insulin.  Conclusions: There were 1,145 patients visited the Diabetic Center of Sanglah Hospital in 2018, with the highest age-group was the 50-69 years age group. Only a small number of them received OADs as initial therapy, and most of received the combination of insulin and OADs.Keywords: Diabetes mellitus, Age, Sex, Bali, Indonesia.

Abstract

Introduction: Poor motivation and limited health services-oriented are reducing job satisfaction, which may affect the quality of nurse performance. The aim of this study to analyze the intrinsic and extrinsic motivation on job satisfaction and nurse performance at the hospital. Methods: The study was explanatory research with a quantitative approach. The sample was 295 respondents from maternal and child hospital nurses. The sampling method is proportional random sampling area, the number of samples determined using the Slovin’s formula. The analysis technique used the Structural Equation Model with PLS Warp analysis tools. Results: Predisposing factor (intrinsic and extrinsic motivation) significantly the nursing job satisfaction. The relationship between intrinsic and extrinsic motivation with job satisfaction and nursing performance was significant. Conclusion: Integration of self-esteem with extrinsic motivation has a good effect on job satisfaction which in increased nursing performance. However, it was important for hospital management to motivate their nurse through intrinsic and extrinsic motivation continuously. Keywords: Intrinsic motivation, Extrinsic motivation, Job satisfaction, Nurse performance.

Abstract

Background: Many disinfectants were used clinically in both single and mixture applications, however there had been few research on disincentive electricity according to sterilization series when the use of an aggregate of disinfectants. Aim; the purpose of present study was to evaluate the antimicrobial of two disinfectants each one alone and when the usage of a combination of them on skin isolates bacteria. Methods; One hindered and eight healthy volunteers were recruited. first groups were treated with a70% isopropyl alcohol on forearm, second groups were treated with 10% povidone-iodine on forearm and third groups were treated with  combination of 70% isopropyl alcohol and 10% PVP-I on forearm included disinfections on the both forearm with isopropyl alcohol first followed by 10% PVP-I. Skin cultures have been acquired the usage of cotton swabs three minutes after application of each disinfectant, and then had been inoculated on blood agar plates for bacterial lifestyle Result; There was no significant difference in the number of positive cultures between subject treated with single disinfect  (first groups, 150bacterial isolates for subject  treated with a 70% isopropyl alcohol; while in the second group 108bacterial isolates for subject  treated with10% povidone-iodine (P < 0.01)).Third groups was more effective than disinfection with a single agent  since there were only 48 bacterial isolates  suggesting that there is relationship between disincentive power of mixed two disinfectants that  used in present study. Conclusion: The combination of 70% isopropyl alcohol and 10% PVP-I was more effective than disinfection with a single disinfects of them with either 70% isopropyl alcohol or 10% PVP-I disinfect.Keyword: Antimicrobial agents, 70% Isopropyl alcohol and 10% povidone-iodine.
