Abstract

This research is intended to analyze in depth and objectively the understanding of GKAI Sunter youth about holiness according to 1 Thessalonians 4: 1-8). This study uses qualitative research methods in taxonomic analysis, using inductive interpretation of biblical research based on the naturalistic paradigm. Data was collected through participant observation using holiness based written interviews according to 1 Thessalonians 4: 1-8. The questions used are based on an analysis with three sub focus (1) Life that pleases God, (2) Life in holiness, (3) Life doing God's will. The samples used were 7 young men from the age of 16-23 years, male and female sex. The results showed that the youth of GKAI Sunter had a good understanding of holiness. The highest understanding that in Christian marriage is monogamous and there should be no divorce, continued with the understanding that maintaining holiness means not having sex outside marriage and the lowest is an understanding of the type of fornication that must be shunned, namely murder and obscenities.

Abstract

Young leaders in the era of globalization, it can happen in all walks of life, from academia, government, companies and others. but it also needs to be realized that, challenges also exist for young leaders. The challenges are age, then their responsibilities, knowledge, skills and spiritual life, and other things, exemplary factors in speech, behavior, and sanctity of life. A qualitative method approach to young leaders as Alumni of STT Biblika Jakarta from the results of the study, it was found that young leaders, had very good knowledge and understanding of science and 70% expressed leadership skills, but 30% they seemed hesitant in implementing and for exemplary living, in theory are very understanding but seem hesitant in maintaining exemplary living. It can be concluded that young leaders need a balance between the knowledge and practice of their leaders in order to become young leaders with integrity.

Abstract

Bible interpretation always develops with hermenutics methods and historical proofs. For a theologian difficult text is a challenge to find the meaning reffered by the text. Interpretation about who is the childrens of God in Genesis 6:2 dan their descendants would be interesting to study. The right interpretation will confirm Christian doctrines and help the spiritual life application for the believers. A qualitative method approached with historical-gramatical interpretation method applied to studi who were sons of God in Genesis 6:2 and the impact in humanity descendants on earth. Ancient literatures around Near East world will give contribution to understand the cultures at that time and knowledges about sons of God in Moses’s writing. The conclusion is that there was no hybrid descendants generated from marriaged between human with fallen angels.

Abstract

There are two phenomena that emerged after the fall of the New Order regime and the 1998 reform era, namely the abolition of the socialization of the values ​​of Pancasila and the 1945 Constitution of the Republic of Indonesia in socio-political and social life, acts of radicalism and terrorism by radical groups. Psychologically, the social community is in a dilemma, leaving the old belief values ​​behind, but the new order values ​​are not yet available. The euphoria of freedom and reformation has led to the emergence of new understandings that are not necessarily in accordance with the values ​​of national and state life, one of which is the emergence of religious groups with radical views that encourage acts of violence, extremism and terrorism. The values ​​of Pancasila in the face of radicalism and terrorism, thus affecting ideological resilience which in turn has an impact on national resilience. Therefore we need an appropriate conception to overcome it.

Abstract

This research was intended to find out the relationship between the competence and discipline of PAK teachers and students' motivation. This research uses descriptive quantitative method, namely analysis test and validity test. This research was conducted at SMK Negeri 1 Alasa Nias Utara. the author's own area of ​​origin, in order to improve the quality of Christian religious education, especially in this school. The results of the study show that teacher competence and teacher discipline will foster motivation from students. With positive motivation possessed by students, it will facilitate achievement in education.
