Abstract

North Bolaang Mongondow  Regency is one of the regencies in North Sulawesi Province which relies on coconut as one of its leading commodities. This study aimed to analyze the contribution of coconut farming to the economy of the North Bolaang Mongondow Regency. This study used secondary data obtained from the Statistics Indonesia (BPS) local office and other related agencies. The analysis used in this study was Location Quotient (LQ) analysis and Shift Share analysis. Based on the analysis, it was found that the Agriculture Sector, Plantation Sub-Sector and Coconut Commodities were among the basic sectors in North Bolaang Mongondow  Regency, so that they could contribute to drive the regional economy.  However, the coconut commodity still had low competitiveness due to the low and fluctuating prices.

Abstract

This study aims to study social capital in the survival strategies of poor farmers. The research was conducted for 6 months, from April to October 2020, with the research location in Minahasa Regency. This research was designed descriptively, with a survey method. Sampling was selected purposively on farmers in Minahasa district with 100 farmers as respondents. The data collected in this study are primary and secondary data. Primary data were collected directly through in-depth interviews with farmers. The results showed that the stronger the farmer's social capital, the better his survival strategy. On the other hand, the weaker the social capital, the poor farmer's survival strategy was getting worse.

Abstract

This study aimed to determine the contribution of income of the Berkah Cone business workers to their family income. This research was conducted for 3 months, starting from January to March 2020. The data used in this study were primary and secondary data. Primary data were obtained from direct interviews with Berkah Cone business workers and Berkah Cone business owners. Secondary data were obtained from monographs of Sumompo Sub-district and literature related to research. The sampling method used was a census to all workers consisted of 12 people. The results of this study indicated that the income of the Berkah Cone business workers has a 69.75% contribution to the family income. The value of 69.75% according to the contribution assessment criteria belongs to the very large category (> 50%). This means that the income earned by workers in the Blessing Cone business greatly helped their families and themselves in fulfilling theirdaily needs and making a real contribution to the family income.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the level of customer satisfaction with the service "Bakso Solo". This research was conducted from January to March 2020. The data used in this study are primary data and secondary data. Primary data were obtained through direct interviews with 44 respondents using a questionnaire. The data collection method was carried out using accidental sampling techniques. Data collection regarding customer satisfaction is carried out using a Likert scale measurement. Secondary data obtained from these efforts which are related to this research. The results showed that, the level of consumer satisfaction of the restaurant "Bakso Solo" in the city of Manado was 78.64% or consumers were in the "Satisfied" category.

Abstract

This objective is to determine internal and external factors related to the productivity of chili farming and to find out the role of farmer groups in chili productivity in Raanan Baru village. This research was conducted from December 2019 to February 2020. Data collection methods were carried out by means of observation and questionnaires to farmer groups in Raanan Baru village which consisted of 30 members. In this study of chili farming, and to determine the factors related to the productivity of chili farming, seen from the crosstabulation test using SPSS v25 between each member characteristic (internal factors) and external factors with chili productivity, the descriptive method is used to determine the role of farmer groups on the productivity. Based on the results of research, internal and external factors related to the productivity of chili farming and the role of farmer groups on chili productivity. Factors related to farm productivity of members of the Cita Imbaya farmer group are age, level of education, farming status, intensity of exposure to counseling, and land tenure status. External factors for farmers in the form of business climate and business plan are also related to the productivity of members of the Cita Imbaya farmer group. The role of farmer groups that most members perceive is the role of farmer groups as a vehicle for cooperation and the role of farmer groups as farm production units.

Abstract

The research aims to describe the role of the agricultural sector in the economy in Bitung City from 2010 to 2019. The study was conducted for 3 months from June 2020 to September 2020. The type of data used in this study is secondary data obtained from the Central Statistics Agency (BPS) of Bitung City, namely in the form of GRDP of Bitung City and North Sulawesi Province for the period 2010 to 2019. Supporting data is in the form of other secondary data relevant to this study. The data collected were analyzed descriptively and presented in tabular form. The results showed that the contribution of the agricultural sector to the GRDP of Bitung City in 2019 was 16.6 percent, although it has decreased since 2010 by 17.8 percent, but the agricultural sector still ranks second after the manufacturing sector with a contribution of 32.84 percent in in 2019. The growth of the agricultural sector, although fluctuating, tends to increase from 6.33 percent in 2012 to 9.06 percent in 2019. The LQ value of the agricultural sector, even though it was less than one in 2019, was 0.85, but continues to increase compared to last year. 2010 amounted to 0.75, and the agricultural sector, especially the capture or fishing fisheries sub-sector, is the exporting sector to other districts / cities in North Sulawesi Province. Based on the results of this study, it can be concluded that the agricultural sector has an important role in the economy of Bitung City, because this sector is not only an exporting sector, especially the capture fisheries sub-sector, but also as a provider of raw materials for the processing industry in Bitung City.

Abstract

This study aims to analysis the supply chain mechanism for the cayenne pepper commodity in the Bersehati Market of Manado City during the Covid-19 pandemic. The data used in this study are primary data and secondary data. Primary data were obtained from observations, direct interviews, and interviews via WhatsApp with traders, consumers, and service providers in the Bersehati market. Secondary data were collected and obtained from employees in the Bersehati Market. The sampling method was carried out using the purposive sampling method (deliberately), namely selecting sources of information in the Bersehati Market. Number of sample used in this study was taken 10 respondents divided into 5 retailers, 3 consumers, 1 service provider, 1 market officer. This study uses descriptive analysis which is an analytical method used to determine the supply chain mechanism of cayenne pepper. The results showed that the supply chain mechanism for the cayenne pepper commodity in the Bersehati Market during the Covid-19 pandemic was related to product flows, financial flows and information flows that had differences in each flow. During the pandemic, there were 6 links that played an active role in the supply chain for the chili commodity at the Bersehati Market.

Abstract

The purpose of this research is to see plantation sectoral contribution on North Minahasa Regency economic development. This research was conducted in July 2020. The data used in this study are secondary data. Data were obtained from North Minahasa Regency’s Central Burean of Statistics and North Minahasa Province’s Central Burean of Statistics. This research used basis of Constant Price Gross Regional Domestic Product from 2010 to 2019, land area and plantation productions of North Minahasa Regency. This study uses data analysis methods, namely location quotient analysis, shift share, and contribution analysis.  The results of the research showed that plantation sub-sector is basic sector in North Minahasa Regency and had LQ value more that 1 and be able to produce goods and services for local consumption as well as exportation. Shift share analysis showed that in year of 2010-2019 plantation sectoral didn’t have competitive advantage, but it has positif effect and a good growth rate for the economy of North Minahasa

Abstract

The purpose of this study was to determine the role of ornamental plant farming women in poor families in Tolombukan Village, Pasan District, Southeast Minahasa Regency. The research was conducted for three months, from December to February 2020. The data used are primary data obtained through interviews with 20 women who are farming ornamental plants. Secondary data were obtained from the Tolombukan Village Office. The data analysis used is descriptive, contribution formula and the data is presented in tabular form. The role of women as main breadwinners if it has greater than 50 percent. The results showed that the role of women as wives who cultivated ornamental plants in Tolombukan Village was as additional breadwinners and not the main breadwinners for their families.

Abstract

The purpose of this research is to evaluate the Agropolitan Area Development program PAKAKAAN in Tompaso Subdistrict. The research was conducted in November 2020 - January 2021. The data used in this study are primary and secondary data. The primary data was obtained through an interview with the head of BPP (Agricultural Counseling Center). Secondary data was obtained from agencies related to this research. The results of this research can be seen that the Tompaso area has the potential as an agropolitan area development. Tompaso region itself is included in the development of PAKAKAAN agropolitan area in Minahasa district. The development of Pakakaan Agropolitan Area in Tompaso area can be seen from the majority of the population in the Tompaso region as farmers, supported by the most production center facilities that can be developed, rice fields. But based on the survey in the Tompaso area there is still much that needs to be improved and there needs to be a capital support facility for farmers or the community.
