Abstract

This research aims to describe students’ self efficacy and student learning outcomes in the chemical bonding matter through the implementation of reciprocal teaching strategy. The research design which used was One Shot Case Study. The research was conducted on the grade X SMA Negeri 1 Sidoarjo. A research instrument that used consist of the observation sheet of learning implementation, students’ self efficacy questionnaire, and the posttest sheet as data on student learning outcomes. The data of learning implementation, students’ self efficacy and students learning outcomes were analyzed using quantitative analysis method. The results showed that (1) The average value of students’ self efficacy which obtained during three meetings are 73.21; 77.37; 84.72 with good and very good criteria. (2) The implementation of reciprocal teaching strategy obtained the percentage of three meetings respectively 92.50%; 93.75%; and 93.75% with good and very good criteria. (3) The learning outcomes of chemical bonding matter achieved by students obtained 100% classically. Keywords: reciprocal teaching strategy, student self efficacy, chemical bonding

Abstract

This study aims to determine the implementation of learning, cooperation and student’s self confidence after the implementation of cooperative learning model type NHT on equilibrium shiftment matter. This research type is Pra Experiment (pre experiment design) and research design is One-Group Pretest-Postest Design. Target of this research is student of class XI MIPA 6 SMAN 1 Sidoarjo. The instrument used are an observation sheet of cooperative learning model type NHT, an observation sheet of cooperation and self confidence questionnair. This research showed that (1) the average percentage of the implementation cooperative learning model type NHT on introduction was 91.67%, phase 1 was 79.16%, phase 2 was 91.67%, phase 3 which contains stage 1 of NHT was 83.33%, phase 4 which contains stage 2 and stage 3 of NHT was 83.33%, phase 5 which contain stage 4 of NHTwas 95% and phase 6 was 79.16%; (2) the average value of cooperation skills on appreciate the opinions of others indicator was 68.89, remain in groups and tasks indicator was 67.99 and active participant’s indicator was 69.34; (3) the average value of magnitude dimension was 81.25, strenght dimension was 80.08 and generality dimension was 78.13keywords: cooperative learning model type NHT, cooperation skills, students self confidence, equilibrium shiftment

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan keterlaksanaan model pembelajaran POGIL, aktivitas siswa, dan keterampilan berpikir kritis siswa pada materi asam basa setelah diterapkannya model pembelajaran POGIL. Desain penelitian menggunakan “One Group Pretest-Posttest Design" dengan jenis penelitiannya yaitu pra-eksperimen. Metode pengumpulan data menggunakan metode pengamatan dan tes. Sasaran penelitian adalah siswa kelas XI MIA 3 SMAN 18 Surabaya sebanyak 35 siswa. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa: (1) rata-rata keterlaksanaan model pembelajaran POGIL pada fase 1 sebesar 100% (sangat baik), fase 2 99.16% (sangat baik), fase 3 100% (sangat baik), fase 4 100% (sangat baik) dan fase 5 98.61% (sangat baik); (2) aktivitas siswa mendukung keterlaksanaan model pembelajaran POGIL dengan persentase total aktivitas yang relevan pada pertemuan 1 sebesar 97.8%, pertemuan 2 98.35% dan pertemuan 3 98.35%; (3) kemampuan berpikir kritis siswa diakhir pembelajaran menunjukkan sebesar 63% siswa kategori tinggi, 31% siswa kategori sedang dan 6% siswa kategori rendah. Kata Kunci: Model Pembelajaran POGIL, Keterampilan Berpikir Kritis, Asam Basa
