Abstract

Construction companies today are aiming for the finest technologies to achieve their targets in minimum cost possible along with a high level of security and safety. Construction companies are focusing more on the benefits of internet in their projects in order to improve processes, reduce waste and optimally utilize their resources and Internet of Things (IoT) is making it possible in a much more efficient way than thought of. IoT has now become the newest of the technology that is being used in the construction industry. IoT is basically the network of physical objects—buildings, vehicles, devices and other objects fixed with sensors, software, electronics and internet connectivity which aids these objects to collect, store and exchange data. This paper aims to improve the understanding of the importance of IoT and its implementation in the construction industry. The paper presents the compiled study of the works done by various researchers in which IoT can be used in the construction industry. The findings of their work have been discussed in this paper and future scope of work regarding the usage of IoT in different fields have been identified.

Abstract

Disasters frequently strike at any time of day or night, necessitating swift action and close coordination between various agencies. When a disaster response becomes increasingly time-consuming, the Armed Forces are frequently called in to assist. Despite the fact that disaster management is not the primary responsibility of the Armed Forces, however, the Armed Forces are frequently used as disaster response machinery because they have complete equipment, logistics, and personnel. In order to identify the logistics system available in the Malaysian Armed Forces (MAF), this study was carried out with a particular emphasis on integration and disaster management in the Armed Forces. A qualitative inquiry methodology was used to complete this study. A protocol for conducting interviews was developed and used as a guideline throughout the interview process. Snowball purposeful sampling was used in this study, which included 13 key informants from the Army, Navy, and Air Force. These individuals work in the logistics field and came from all three branches of the military. According to the findings of this study, there are no job specifications and specialisations in disaster management in the MAF. The systematic logistics management implemented by the MAF, on the other hand, has made it easier to coordinate assistance during disasters. In addition, the strength in terms of knowledge, skills and discipline portrayed by the MAF personnel showed a very high commitment to achieving disaster management objectives. This advantage is widely regarded as the most important factor in ensuring that disaster response is carried out effectively and efficiently.

Abstract

Electronic health technology applications are important tools that are utilized to provide health care services. These applications allow healthcare professionals and patients to share, manage and have control over their health information electronically whilst maintaining social distancing. Under hard conditions brought by the coronavirus 2019 disease (COVID-19), eHealth tools can be used to assist with the provision of healthcare services. However, the adoption of these technology applications by users is still questionable. This study presents a systematic literature review of 31 articles that were published on the adoption of eHealth cloud-based technology applications during COVID-19. A systematic literature review was conducted using PRISMA protocol by searching the Scopus databases. The search was conducted for the year 2020 to 2021 since COVID-19 is still new in the research field. From 31 articles that were selected, it was found that most countries are still left behind on this topic. It was only a few researchers in each country who tried to contribute or put effort into the topic. Furthermore, it was indicated that Italy contributed the highest with 5 authors to this topic. Thus, more research still needs to be conducted on this topic. One of the limitations of this study was that, the data was gathered from the Scopus database only. Researchers suggest that for future research, other additional sources need to be searched to find out more about the adoption of eHealth cloud-based technology applications during COVID-19.

Abstract

The growing use of cellular technology has a rapid impact on the development of technology and information. This development relates to the use of information and communication services that is tailored directly, practically and effectively manner. Responding to the issue, the researcher is interested in conducting research by looking at the parameters using Time Division Duplex (TDD) technology and Frequency Division Duplex (FDD) technology on video streaming services. Service integrity measurement results on LTE networks are carried out in real time in the field according to the research path and eNodeB installed in dedicated mode. Dealing with the results, the effect of DT parameters on service integrity can only be seen in the SINR and CQI parameters. When SINR measured 21.3 dB and CQI measured 13.5, the measured throughput was 3665.2 Kbps so that the measured modulation was 64 QAM, on the other hand, if SINR measured -0.2 dB and CQI measured 10, the measured throughput was 0.5 Kbps so that the modulation measured was small, namely QPSK. From the results obtained, LTE TDD has a better service integrity value, namely throughput has a value of 891.16 Kbps and a latency of 48 ms for Telkomsel while 882.14 Kbps and latency was 49 ms for Smartfren than LTE FDD which had a throughput value of 820.83 Kbps and a latency was 68 ms for Telkomsel while 831.21 Kbps and 77 ms latency were for Smartfren, thus LTE TDD is better in terms of throughput and measured latency.

Abstract

Technological innovations have affected all sectors of life, especially, the financial sector with the emergence of financial technology. One of them is marked by the emergence of Peer-to-Peer Lending ("P2P Lending). Credit Risk Management is essential to P2P Lending as it directly affects business results, therefore it is important for P2P Lending to predict borrowers with the highest probability to become good or bad loans based on their profile or characteristics. In the experiments, five classification algorithms are used, which are Gradient Boosted Trees, Naïve Bayes, Random Forest, Decision Tree and Logistic Regression. The result is two modelling performed well that is Random Forest with accuracy 93.38% and Decision Tree with 92.35%.
