Abstract

Culture is as a result of the work, taste and creation of society. Community work produces material and material culture or physical culture (material culture) needed by humans to control the natural surroundings, so that the strength and the results can be devoted to the needs of the community. Based on this, the problem in this study is how prehistoric human culture in Tanjung Aro village  , North Pagaralam City.  The purpose of this study is as an effort to look at cultural relics whose use still shows megalithic traditions, namely the worship of ancestral spirits. The research method used is descriptive qualitative method, which uses how to collect data sources systematically and use data sources in depth.  This study uses three ways in data collection namely observation, interviews, documents.  The results of this study indicate that there are some megalithic remains such as dolmen, megalithic statues, stone chambers, stone mortars, tetraliths which are used as a medium of worship for certain rituals by the community until now.Keywords: Culture,  Megalithic,  Prehistoric Man.

Abstract

Greja Kristen Jawi Wetan (GKJW) di Mojowarno merupakan bangunan GKJW tertua di Jawa Timur yang diresmikan pada tahun 1881 pada masa pemerintahan kolonial Belanda. Ajarannya menyesuaikan dengan budaya lokal setempat sehingga menghasilkan suatu tradisi akulturasi budaya agraris Jawa dengan ajaran Kristen, yaitu tradisi Kebetan, Keleman, dan Riyaya Undhuh-Undhuh. Meskipun agama Kristen merupakan minoritas, tetapi keberadaan GKJW tetap terjaga dari awal peresmiannya di tahun 1881 sampai tahun 2019. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode sejarah dengan mengambil rentang waktu dari tahun 1992 sampai 2018. Bertujuan untuk (1) mengetahui bagaimana eksistensi GKJW Mojowarno tetap terjaga dari tahun 1992 sampai 2018, (2) untuk mengetahui apa saja keunikan  dari GKJW Mojowarno, dan (3)  untuk mengetahui bagaimana hubungan GKJW dengan masyarakat muslim sekitar.

Abstract

Malangan Mask Dance is a culture that needs to be observed as time goes by, fewer people are willing to preserve this culture, moreover the influx of foreign cultures makes the younger generation increasingly consider Malang mask dance an ancient and outdated culture. Here it is necessary to review further its existence from the Age after the maestro died until his grandson is managing. Malangan mask dance is a culture that deserves to be maintained and maintained its existence as a cultural heritage from the ancestors for us and posterity in the future. This study aims to (1). Abstract

The spatial of Pelang Kenidal Village was born from the philosophy and concept of the local community which has a harmony value to the life patterns of the local community. The purpose of this study was to analyze the value of the harmony in the spatial pattern of Pelang Kenidal village which will be used as techniques use several methods such as interviews, documentation, literature study, and observation. The data analysis process uses four ways, namely data collection, data reduction, data presentation, and drawing conclusions. From the results of this study it can be concluded that the value of harmony in the village spatial pattern has a value on how the life pattern and spatial structure of the Pelang Kenidal village community has a circular shape with the mosque as its center and the long hall which is a place of discussion relevant to be used as a source of learning in high schools. Because the value of harmony in this spatial pattern contains cultural values, mutual cooperation, religious, cooperation, kinship and harmony values. Keywords:  Alignment Value, Spatial Pattern, Pelang Kenidal Village, Pagaralam City
