Abstract

This study examined the key characteristics and practices of successful school principals, as perceived by teachers, parents, and students. Four themes emerged from the data: collaborative decision-making, relationship building, continuous professional development, and visionary leadership. Successful principals were found to prioritize collaboration, involving all members of the school community in decision-making processes, and building positive relationships with staff, students, and parents. They also placed a strong emphasis on continuous professional development, both for themselves and their staff, and were able to articulate a clear vision for their school and communicate that vision effectively to all stakeholders. The study highlights the importance of effective school leadership in promoting a positive school culture and improving student achievement. The findings suggest that successful school leaders must be able to work collaboratively, build positive relationships, prioritize ongoing professional development, and articulate a clear vision for their school. These characteristics and practices can serve as a guide for aspiring and current school leaders, as well as for those involved in the recruitment and selection of school principals

Abstract

Improving the performance of super native chickens must be balanced by improving the ration. The ingredients used do not need to be “expensive” but are of good quality and readily available throughout the year. One of the feed ingredients that is widely available and is a waste is banana peel. Banana peels contain 3.63% nutrients, 2.52% crude fat, 18.71% crude fiber, 7.18% calcium, and 2.06% phosphorus. In addition to high crude fiber, banana peels also contain antinutrients in the form of tannins, hence the need for fermentation. To see the quality of the ration, it is necessary to test the digestibility. This research was carried out from March to July 2023. The design used in this study was a completely randomized design (CRD) with 5 (five) treatments and 3 (three) replicates. The treatments were as follows: R0 (ration without the addition of fermented banana peel flour/TKPF), R1 = (2.5% TKPF), R2 = 5% TKPF, R3 = 7.5% TKPF, R4 = 10% TKPF. Variables observed were N retention, protein digestibility, crude fiber digestibility, and organic matter digestibility. The results showed that the provision of fermented banana flour in the ration of native chickens significantly (P <0.01) influenced the digestibility of crude protein, crude fiber digestibility, digestibility of organic matter, and N retention of native chicken rations. The best results were obtained in the R2 treatment (5% Fermented Banana peel flour), where the crude protein digestibility gave results of 76.11%, crude fiber digestibility of 45.12%, organic matter digestibility of 70.09%, and N retention of 75.82%

Abstract

Exclusive breastfeeding is influenced by many factors, namely family support, the mother's attitude, the role of health workers, emotional support, information to the mother, the mother's knowledge, the and mother's motivation. These factors are some of the many factors that influence exclusive breastfeeding. The research methodology utilized is analytical with a cross-sectional design. The study's population comprises 560 mothers who have infants and toddlers aged between 6 and 24 months. The sampling technique applied is simple random sampling, involving the random selection of 94 individuals from the population. This method ensures a fair representation of the research. The results of this study showed that there was a relationship between the attitude and motivation of breastfeeding mothers with success in exclusive breastfeeding in the working area of the Bunga Jadi Public Health Center in 2023, with each p-value of 0.000 < α: 0.05. Breastfeeding is often not achieved because many parents think that their children are hungry and will sleep soundly if they are given food. They also think that in ancient times they were fed bananas from a few days old, and there were no problems. This wrong view often supresses new mothers who do not have strong understanding and principles. Health workers at the public health center provide material about exclusive breastfeeding both during counseling and in posyandu activities

Abstract

The primary objective of this research was to investigate the reading habits of students and their impact on their academic achievements. The study was conducted within the confines of District Dera Ghazi Khan, specifically focusing on high and higher secondary schools. Employing a qualitative approach, data was collected and analyzed. The results were derived from interviews conducted with six students, serving as a basis for the findings. The research revealed that the majority of the participants recognized the significance of reading, engaging in both scientific literature and fictional works such as stories and novels. Notably, only one student admitted to reading solely with the intention of passing examinations. These outcomes firmly establish the substantial influence of reading habits on academic performance, illustrating a clear correlation between the two. In light of these findings, it is recommended that teachers encourage students to utilize the library for reading purposes and assign additional reading material to foster a stronger reading habit among students

Abstract

AKI in Indonesia is still high, mainly due to direct causes such as hemorrhage, infection, eclampsia, and others. Preparation for childbirth through P4K is necessary, but in practice, many mothers are not adequately prepared to face childbirth, thus requiring education, including through WhatsApp (WA) groups. To analyze the influence of health education from the Maternity Planning and Complications Prevention Program (P4K) using WhatsApp groups on the attitudes of third-trimester pregnant mothers regarding childbirth preparation in Kuala Samboja Village in the year 2023. This study employed a quasi-experimental design with a nonequivalent control group design. The research population consisted of 82 third-trimester pregnant mothers in Kuala Samboja Village from January to March 2023. The sampling technique used the estimation formula, resulting in a sample size of 20 participants. The measurement instruments utilized were the SAP (Scale of Attitude towards Pregnancy) and a questionnaire. Data analysis was performed using the Mann-Whitney test. The description of attitudes among third-trimester pregnant mothers before the intervention in the treatment group had a mean value of 37.10, and after the intervention, the mean value was 64.60. The description of attitudes among third-trimester pregnant mothers before the intervention in the control group had a mean value of 36.00, and after the intervention, the mean value was 53.65. There is a significant difference in attitudes among third-trimester pregnant mothers between the WA Group and the leaflet group in preparing for childbirth, with a significant p-value of 0.000. Education using WhatsApp (WA) Groups is more effective compared to leaflets because the social media platform WA is easier to use and enhances mothers' attitudes towards childbirth preparation

Abstract

Pain labor can increase emotional stress on the birthing mother, and can cause fatigue and can have an impact on abnormal uterine muscle function during labor leading to birth complications. One of the non-pharmacological therapies to reduce labor pain is bitter orange aromatherapy, which is a non-pharmacological therapy to reduce or relieve pain in mothers who give birth in the first stage. The type of research used in this research is a quasi experiment with a nonequivalent control group design. Sampling used purposive sampling technique as many as 22 people. Data collection used a visual analog scale pain measuring instrument, data analysis used the Wilcoxon test. The results of the study showed that there was a difference in decreasing the intensity of the pain scale in stage 1 before and after administering bitter orange aroma therapy with a p-value (0.003) and an α value (0.05). Labor pain is caused by contractions of the uterine muscles, stretching of the uterine muscles and psychological conditions, in this case fear, anxiety and tension which can trigger the production of prostaglandine hormones, causing stress. Stress conditions can affect the body's ability to withstand pain. One way to treat pain in birthing mothers is by using non-pharmacological methods by administering bitter orange aromatherapy. Bitter orange aroma therapy influence the decline intensity pain in the first stage of multigravida labor active in the clinic still in 2023
