Abstract

The circulation of alcoholic drinks in Jayapura City is increasingly widespread and can even be said to be out of control. Alcoholic drinks are openly sold in shophouses adjacent to housing or residential areas of community members. The implementation of the Regional Regulation on Alcoholic Drinks in Jayapura City has not been successful in lowering the amount of alcoholic beverages in circulation. The purpose of this study is to determine what factors impede the implementation of the policy for supervision and control of sales of alcoholic beverages in Jayapura City, Papua Province, as well as issues pertaining to its implementation throughout the city. Descriptive and qualitative research methods were employed in this study. Techniques for documentation, interviews, and observation were used to gather data. The findings of the study demonstrate that this strategy may be effective provided it is backed by thorough and unambiguous policy text as well as an environment that is favorable to its implementation, such as agency cooperation, community involvement, and enough funding. However, a number of obstacles prevent theJayapura City's application of this policy, including economic and political interests that support the sustainability of the alcohol industry, a community culture that considers alcohol to be part of social tradition, as well as limited human resources and budget for effective supervision. Apart from that, the lack of understanding and consistency of implementing officials in enforcing policies is also a big challenge

Abstract

The high unemployment rate in Papua Province, reaching 65,000 people, is one of the main challenges in achieving regional development goals, especially in the employment sector. This unemployment is spread across various districts/cities in Papua and is an obstacle to achieving the targets of the Papua Provincial Government's technical institutions, namely the Department of Industry, Trade, Cooperatives, Small and Medium Enterprises and Manpower (Perindagkop UKM dan Manpower), which is regulated by Gubernatorial Regulation Number 34 of 2019. This regulation only regulates employment matters but does not cover aspects of workforce placement, which should be an important part of reducing unemployment. This research aims to describe and analyze the evaluation of employment policies in Papua Province, especially those related to Gubernatorial Regulation Number 34 of 2019 concerning the organization and work procedures of the Department of Industry and Trade, UKM, and Manpower, and identify the obstacles that exist in implementing these policies. This research uses a qualitative approach with descriptive methods and data collection through in-depth interviews and Focus Group Discussions (FGD) with stakeholders related to employment policies in Papua

Abstract

Stunting remains a significant health issue worldwide, particularly in developing countries like Indonesia. The Indonesian government has implemented various strategic nutrition programs to address stunting issues. Through strong collaboration among the government, communities, non-governmental organizations, and the private sector, efforts to reduce stunting are expected to proceed effectively and efficiently. This research uses scientific methods, specifically data collection and data analysis techniques, with a qualitative descriptive approach. The data collection methods include primary data, interviews, observations, and documentation. The results of the policy evaluation on stunting prevention through the "Bridal Class" program at the Family Learning Center (Puspaga) in Surabaya City show a reduction in stunting rates, which has positioned Surabaya as the city with the lowest stunting rate at the national level. Surabaya's government is also targeting Zero Stunting and Zero New Stunting by 2024. The study's findings indicate that the "Bridal Class" program has been successfully implemented in Keputih Village, Surabaya City, according to established procedures. This is evidenced by the ease of community participation in the "Bridal Class," offered through various methods, including online, offline, and hybrid formats. The stunting rate in Keputih Village, Surabaya City, has remained stable from January 2024 to October 2024, with continuous monitoring in place

Abstract

This study aims to explore and analyze the effectiveness of the "Rembulan" baby massage service innovation at Lontar Health Center, Surabaya, in reducing stunting prevalence. This service enhances infant health and well-being through massage methods that support relaxation, optimal growth, and motor development. In the context of efforts to reduce stunting rates, the program focuses on infants and children under two years old who are at risk of malnutrition and growth delay. This research employs a qualitative approach with in-depth interviews, field observations, and secondary data analysis. Respondents include healthcare workers, parents, and stakeholders directly involved in the baby massage service. The results indicate that the "Rembulan" baby massage program increases infants' nutritional intake by boosting appetite, optimizing digestion, and improving sleep quality. These benefits contribute to better growth and development, reducing the risk of stunting. The study concludes that baby massage innovation has significant potential as a non-pharmacological intervention in public health programs. This service is effective when integrated with nutrition education and continuous health monitoring. Proper implementation can make baby massage a comprehensive solution in government efforts to reduce stunting prevalence in Indonesia

Abstract

This study aims to evaluate the Adiwiyata Award Program in forming an environmental care movement at SMP Negeri 3 Candi, Sidoarjo Regency. This study uses an evaluation approach with the CIPP (Context, Input, Process, Product) model from Daniel Stufflebeam. Data were collected through observation, interviews, and documentation related to program implementation. Each element was evaluated to assess the suitability between objectives, resources, implementation, and impacts generated. Data were analyzed descriptively. The results showed that the program was implemented effectively and in accordance with established procedures, with activities that met the criteria for achieving Adiwiyata School status. The Context element identifies that the program is based on the school's vision, mission, and objectives to increase environmental awareness. The Input element evaluates institutional readiness, including adequate human resources, budget, and infrastructure. The Process element highlights activities such as the implementation of "Clean Friday" and the integration of environmental learning involving the entire school community. The Product element shows the results in the form of a green and comfortable environment, as well as changes in student behavior who practice environmentally friendly habits, such as organic and inorganic waste management

Abstract

Project Based Learning is a pedagogical approach that places students at the centre of learning through the completion of real projects, allowing them to integrate theory and practice effectively. This research aims to analyse how systematic and thorough evaluation or assessment can serve as a benchmark for the effectiveness of Project Based Learning-based curriculum. This research is a combination of bibliometric research and Narrative Literature Review. The natural stages of this research are Determination of Purpose and Topic of Review, Search and Selection of Literature Sources, Organisation of Findings, Analysis and Presentation of Findings. The search was conducted specifically on copus indexed articles in 2020-2024 with the help of Publish or Perish software with the keyword ‘project-based learning evaluation’. Systematic and thorough evaluation or assessment can serve as a benchmark for the effectiveness of project-based learning curriculum. There are several solutions in project-based learning assessment including solutions to the need for assessment tools that are able to capture aspects of the process and results in a balanced manner, difficulty in assessing individual contributions in group projects and variations in the quality of projects produced due to differences in abilities and resources

Abstract

The adoption of digital management in educational settings, specifically at Beijing Normal University (BNU), reflects the ongoing transformation of academic environments through technology. This study explores the comprehensive impact of digital management practices on school improvement. Specifically, the study aims to investigate the influence of six dimensions of digital management, including school visions, school leadership, pedagogical practices, teaching community practices, school-level knowledge practices, and digital resources, on school improvement at Beijing Normal University. Employing a quantitative research methodology, this study utilizes correlation and regression analyses to assess the impact of digital management practices on school improvement. Data were collected via structured surveys from a sample of 351 teachers at BNU. The findings indicate significant positive correlations and effects across all digital management dimensions on school improvement, with school-level knowledge practices and pedagogical practices showing higher substantial influence. This study contributes to the understanding of digital management’s pivotal role in enhancing educational quality and administrative efficiency in higher education settings. It offers a validated framework for other institutions aiming to leverage technology for comprehensive school improvement
