Abstract

Singular Spectrum Analysis (SSA) is an effective method of decomposition of time series for separating key components in data, such as trends, seasonality, and noise. This study aims to analyze the role of Hankel matrix in the SSA embedding process and how window length (L) selection can affect the effectiveness of component separation in data time series. In this study, the data used includes public data that can be influenced by seasonal factors and unexpected events, such as natural disasters or regulatory changes. The research process begins with the data preprocessing stage, followed by the embedding stage to form a matrix used in decomposition with Singular Value Decomposition (SVD). To evaluate the similarity of separate components, w-correlation is used. The results show that the selection of optimal window lengths, in the range of N/4 < L < N/2 is very important to maintain a balance between temporal information and matrix dimensions. With the right window selection, the embedding process in SSA can be more effective in separating the trending, seasonal, and noise components in the data pattern. By understanding the structure of the Hankel matrix and selecting the right parameters, the embedding process in SSA can be more effective in separating the components of the time series and preserving temporal information.

Abstract

Logistics activities are not only focused on a particular area, but the movement of goods also crosses national borders. Indonesia and Saudi Arabia cooperate reasonably in religious activities, especially the Hajj and the Umrah. Millions of Indonesian citizens are estimated to carry out Umrah and Hajj worship activities yearly. This activity not only focuses on the movement of people but also the movement of goods, namely all the needs ranging from food and equipment that must be sent from Indonesia to Saudi Arabia, as well as vice versa, the luggage of Indonesian citizens who have completed the Hajj and Umrah. PT Indah Logistik, one of the logistics companies, sees the potential or opportunity from this movement of goods, but is experiencing obstacles with operational activities in Saudi Arabia. To run this opportunity, PT Indah Logistik collaborates with City Cargo, one of the logistics companies operating in Saudi Arabia, with the aim that all goods movements in Saudi Arabia will be handled by City Cargo and goods movements in Indonesia will be handled by PT Indah Logistik. However, both companies experience problems with the cooperation agreement, namely legal certainty regarding the law that will govern the contract and the place of dispute resolution when there is a dispute in the future. The settlement of the cooperation agreement between the two companies, which are located in two countries with different legal systems, must be done carefully by considering all legal theories and principles to realize an agreement that can mutually benefit both parties.

Abstract

This study examines the influence of influencers on purchasing decisions, with perceived value and emotions as mediators, in the context of TikTok Live. Live streaming significantly impacts consumer behavior, requiring influencers to build emotional engagement and deliver product value effectively. Using a quantitative method with an online survey of 180 respondents, data were analyzed with SmartPLS 3. Results indicate that influencers positively and significantly affect purchasing decisions (t = 13.125; p = 0.000). Perceived value and emotions mediate this relationship substantially (t = 4.054 and 2.224; p = 0.000 and 0.027). The F-test confirms a simultaneous significant effect of all variables. This study contributes to digital marketing literature by emphasizing emotional and value-driven mechanisms in influencer-based live-streaming commerce.

Abstract

The importance of forensic medicine in supporting the criminal investigation process, especially in cases of murder and harassment. In some cases, conventional evidence is not enough to reveal the facts that occurred, so a scientific approach is needed through the analysis of biological, medical, and toxicological evidence, the use of forensic medicine often faces various challenges in its application, such as objections from the victim regarding autopsy. For this reason, it is necessary to know the extent of the effectiveness of forensic medicine in handling the crime of murder and harassment, as well as the challenges faced by investigators in the case at the Cirebon City Police. This type of research is normative juridical, examining theories, concepts, legal principles, and laws and regulations. Data collection techniques include interviews and document studies. The results of the study show that forensic medicine is very effective in helping to solve murder cases at the Cirebon City Police. However, in the case of verbal harassment, it is still difficult to prove because there is no trace of the perpetrator on the victim's body, so in this case, the doctor can only make a medical certificate regarding the victim's psychological state.

Abstract

This study critically examines narcotics abuse through a restorative justice lens within the Indonesian legal system. Using a normative juridical method and qualitative analysis, data were collected through documentary research, with secondary sources as the primary reference. Case analysis of Decision No. 29/Pid.Sus/2024/PN Cbn highlights the dominance of retributive justice, which proves inadequate for addressing narcotics abuse. In contrast, Decision No. 272/Pid.Sus/2021/PN Bir demonstrates restorative justice through victim-centered rehabilitation and efficient legal procedures. The findings underscore the need to expand restorative approaches to better protect and rehabilitate victims, offering a more humane and effective alternative to punitive models.

Abstract

This study discusses the legal issues surrounding odong-odong vehicles, which are categorized as illegal due to modifications that violate Law Number 22 of 2009 and Government Regulation Number 55 of 2012. Despite their illegality, these vehicles continue to operate, especially in urban areas, due to their social and economic value. Using a normative juridical method and Satjipto Rahardjo’s progressive legal approach, this study finds that current regulations are ineffective and cause legal and social tensions. The research suggests that revising existing laws to allow for the controlled legalization of odong-odong could offer benefits such as job creation and affordable transportation. It also highlights the need for central and local government roles in ensuring the safety and regulation of these vehicles.
