Abstract

Abstract: The objective of this study is to investigate the long run equilibrium, short run dynamics adjustment as well as causal relationship between Dhaka stock Exchange (DSE) all share price index and macroeconomic variables of consumer price index (CPI), GDP, foreign remittances and import payment. This study uses cointegration test and vector error correction model (VECM) to identify long run equilibrium relationship and short run dynamics adjustment among these variables. The test result provides that variables are cointegrated and VECM provides that the system corrects its previous period’s level of disequilibrium by 5.98 percent per month. Granger causality test has also been performed to estimate causal relationship and the result shows unidirectional causality from CPI and foreign remittance to stock price and bi-directional causality between import payment and stock price but no causal relation between GDP and stock price. The results of this study have implications to investors, policy makers and academicians.

Abstract

Abstract: The state and local governmental [SLG] accounting system is driven by a number of recording rules and regulations. These are codified by the Governmental Accounting Standard Board referencing related agencies such as the OMB and have been the basis of the recording rules in most countries. These recording rules can also be used as the basis for management monitoring and control in SLG entities. From this perspective, we examine the following five extensions of the usual SLG recording context that can be used to improve efficient and effective use of the resource committed to those in charge of the governmental system. To this extent then the following considerations pertain to any SLG in the global context: 1. Extending Prudent Stewardship, 2. Central Procurement: Negotiation Leverage, 3. Recording the Budget, Appropriations, Allocations, Allotments and Encumbrances, 4. Tracking Accountability in the GCA&GLTL Groupings, and 5. Calibrating Early Payment Status [EPS] Discounts. We conclude with two further interesting issues for future research.

Abstract

Abstract The Suez Canal Hub Development is highly expected to influence almost all of the transportation regular routes when it comes to global trade. It is known that most of the shipments that go through Suez Canal, competitors take place from Asia and the United States. According to the East Coast, it consists of U.S. Intermodal System and the Panama Canal as well. However, this cannot deny that the Suez Canal is an efficient route. The reason is that it can reach the maximum expected capacity. Particularly, it is safe to state that the Suez Canal route is having a real competition with Panama Canal supporting the South and Southeast of Asia and the U.S. The main objective of this paper is to expose and draw a comparison and analysis between the Suez Canal and the Panama Canal. Moreover, it investigates the impact of Secure Transportation on Sustainability of Multimodal Transportation, intermodalism, safety and mobility. According to the findings of this study, it has shown and confirmed that safety and security are the main and most essential influencing parameters related to Sustainability of Multimodal Transportation in Suez Canal Hub.

Abstract

Abstract One of the major challenges facing an entrepreneur in business prioritization entails coming-up with a reliable model that will rank the available opportunities (what type of business to be invested?). Usually, investors have multiple and conflicting criteria to base their selection decision. In this paper we first review some of the criteria used to select business type. We then propose the use of multi-criteria decision analysis (MCDA) models that involves a single decision maker (the potential investor). Specifically, we propose the use of three deterministic families of models i.e. the WSM, WPM and AHP. The models are illustrated with prototypes of the real problem. Later, we propose ways of deriving and estimating the model parameters. Subsequently, we provide a statistical framework of enumerating business types within a catchment area through the use of fall-back principal. In our conclusion, we outline the research gaps, propose a modeling framework for the MCDA business selection tool, and give a snap-shot of the menu driven screen for the model.

Abstract

ABSTRACT The ability of state tertiary institutions/state universities to implement the three dharmas of higher education can be used to measure how responsible they are to the minister/central government. In this study, work culture will be used as a moderating variable to assess the impact of compensation and motivation on lecturers' performance at the Andalas University Faculty of Pharmacy. Processing of study data is done using Smart PLS 3.3. Purposive sampling was used in the sampling process, and a total of 43 samples were used. As a result, remuneration has a favorable and noteworthy impact on performancebut does not affect motivation. On the other hand, work culture is able to moderate the effect of remuneration on performance.

Abstract

Rosaceae is a rose family that belongs to a large plant family. This family consists of 3,000-4,000 species distributed among 100-120 genera. Rosaceae exhibits distinctive characteristics found in its flowers. Generally, the Rosaceae family possesses perfect flowers. Therefore, the purpose of this research is to identify the plant species that belong to this family and understand their characteristics. The research methodology encompasses three stages: sample collection, direct observation, and documentation of gathered data. The findings reveal five plant species divided into two genera, namely Rosa and Fragaria. These species include Rosa alba, Rosa chinensis, Rosa damascena mill, Rosa hybrid tea, and Fragaria ananassa. Thus, the conducted research provides insights into the characteristics of the Rosaceae family.
