Abstract

The use of virtual laboratories is a solution for schools that have not been able to carry out practical activities directly. This study aims to develop virtual laboratory electronic student using PjBL which can improve students' critical thinking ability. The research method used is the research and development (R & D) method with the ADDIE development model (analysis, design, development, implementation, & evaluate). The research subjects used were 30 students of class XII IPA who were selected using a purposive sampling technique. Data collection instruments consist of expert validation sheets, student response questionnaires, and critical thinking ability tests (pretest and posttest). The data analysis techniques used are Likert scale and n-gain analysis. The evaluation of the feasibility of electronic student worksheet by the expert got an average percentage of 85.41% with a very valid category, student test results got a n-gain value of 0.38 with a moderate improvement category, and the results of student responses got an average percentage value of 91.35% in the very good category. Thus, the developed virtual laboratory electronic student worksheet using PjBL can Improve students' critical thinking ability

Abstract

This study aims to describe the quality of E-student worksheet on the concept of vertebrate based on critical thinking in senior hight school. The development research used the Tessmer formative evaluation design, namely: 1) self evaluation; 2) expert reviews; 3) one-to-one evaluation; 4) small group evaluation; and 5) field test evaluation, but in this study only up to small group evaluation. The validity test subjects were three experts, the individual test subjects were three students of class X Senior High School and the small group test subjects were four students in the same class. Expectancy practicality data is obtained from student responses using the expectation practicality assessment sheet instrument. Expected effectiveness data is obtained from the results of the assessment of students' critical thinking skills through the E-student worksheet. The effectiveness of expectations based on the assessment of critical thinking skills in the interpretation aspect obtained a good category, while other aspects including analysis, inference, explanation and self-regulation obtained a very good category. Thus, the quality E-student worksheet on the concept of vertebrate based on critical thinking in senior hight school has a very good category.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the concept, feasibility and effectiveness of student worksheet based on contextual teaching and learning (CTL) in biology learning related ecosystem concept. This research uses research and development with the ADDIE (Analysis-Design-Development-Implement-Evaluate) model. The subjects of this study were validators (one expert lecturers and two biology teachers) and seventh grade students of Nusa Penida Private Junior High School Medan. The object of this research is student worksheet based on CTL in biology teaching materials on ecosystem learning materials at Nusa Penida Private Junior High School Medan. The research instrument used in this study was a questionnaire to obtain student worksheet product validation assessment data. Technical analysis of the data in this study using expert feasibility test and effectiveness analysis. The results showed that the student worksheet based on CTL was feasible to use with a feasibility level of the learning outcomes test sheet of 93.1% and a student worksheet eligibility rate of 83%.The results of the analysis of student learning mastery show that the student worksheet based on CTL in ecosystem concept categorized as complete in the completeness of thinking ability indicators with a percentage gain of 84.3%. Thus, the student worksheet based on CTL in biology learning related ecosystem concept that has been developed is feasible for use in biology learning and is effective in developing students' thinking skills.

Abstract

The use of electronic student workhsheet as a support for learning the concept of protists has not been utilized optimally and has not trained students to think critically which is a skill that is much needed in facing challenges in the 21st century. This study aims to describe the effectiveness of the electronic student worksheet on the protista concept in improving students' critical thinking skills. The research subjects through the small group test in development research were four students of class X State Aliyah Madrasah Kapuas. The critical thinking skills instrument from Facione was used to explore this data. The data analysis technique of the effectiveness of expectations is percentage. The results showed that evaluation and inference skills had increased. Other critical thinking skills did not show improvement, but the categories were at least good, namely interpretation, analysis, explanation, and self-regulation. Thus, electronic student workhseet on the protist concept can improve critical thinking skills at the high school level and can be used as an alternative learning to train students' critical thinking skills

Abstract

This research is to produce a teaching material product or science learning module about human circulatory system that is suitable to support junior high school students’ independent learning by fulfilling eligibility and effectiveness. This research uses the Borg and Gall research model which is modified into 7 stages. This type of research is Research and Development (R & D). Techniques for collecting data used observation, questionnaires for expert and student validation sheets, interviews. Module validity, curriculum validity, material validity were validated by several teachers in science subjects at Junior High School 1 Papar. The research results show that the assessment of material experts with an average score of 3.76 with very good criteria and the assessment of module experts get approximately a score of 3.76 with very good criteria. The results of the assessment in the initial field trials obtained a percentage of 90.23% with the criteria of feasible and the results of the field trials obtained a percentage of 97.79% with the criteria of eligible. Based on the results of the research, it can be concluded that the science module on the subject of the human circulatory system is suitable for use as teaching material or a module that students can use in independent learning and has met its feasibility and effectiveness.
