EBTIDA: Journal of Islamic Basic Education is an open peer-reviewed journal published by the Madrasah Ibtidaiyah Teacher Education Study Program (PGMI) Faculty of Islamic Sciences, Raden Rahmat Islamic University (UNIRA) Malang. This journal contains scientific manuscripts on Islamic Basic Education studies, both literature studies and field studies published in Indonesian with two abstracts: Indonesian and English. This journal is published twice a year, Juny and December. We invite researchers, lecturers, students, teachers, professionals, and anyone else to share their knowledge in the form of theoretical and empirical research papers on Islamic Basic Education.

Abstract

Abstract Mathematics material becomes a 'scourge' for some students. Monotonous learning adds to the boredom of children learning mathematics. Mathematics teachers are required to be a fun educator figure so that the material can be absorbed properly. Based on the results of initial observations at SDN Kalianget Barat 1, it was found that from the number of students as many as 16 students in grade 6, there were 10 students who did not complete theme 1, sub-theme 1, mathematics. The tendency is that they think negatively about mathematics. As if mathematics is a scary subject, difficult, complicated and full of counting numbers. Even though teaching mathematics is not only with numbers that make students bored and less attractive. Teaching mathematics in elementary school (SD) classes does require a special method to make it fun and challenging. The Think Pair Share method is tried to be a model to overcome such problems. This improvement uses classroom action research (CAR), with the hope that the Think Pair Share method can improve student learning outcomes. Based on the results of the study that the use of the Think Pair Share method with good implementation can improve learning outcomes, it is stated from the results of the presentation that in the first cycle the number of children who completed as many as 4 people or 25%, while in the second cycle, the number of students who completed as many as 12 people or 75%, meaning the increase is read as much as 50%. From these data it can be concluded that the implementation of the Think Pair Share learning method can improve learning outcomes.

Abstract

The success of a teaching and learning process in the realm of education in schools is heavily influenced by several determinants. The factors in question are for example teachers, students, curriculum, social environment, and others. From the several findings found by the author in the teaching and learning process in the classroom, especially in fractional material, the learning outcomes of students are not good, where the results are quite low. This happens a lot to grade III MI Riyadlul Ulum Bangil, where there are students who find it difficult to understand how to solve simple fraction assignments. The type of research used in this research is Classroom Action Research (CAR), where the improvement of this research is through a cycle of two cycles. Based on the implementation of classroom action research in class III, MI Riyadlul Ulum Bangil can be concluded that using a realistic approach can increase the level of interest in student learning in the implementation of learning that is more lively and students are more active. From the results of class action in cycle I, there were criteria for increasing success in cycle I, a score of less than 70 or incomplete, there were 6 students (35%) and those who scored above 70 or said to have completed, there were 13 students (65%). However, after taking action in cycle II in cycle II, there were no students who scored below 70 and those who scored 70 were 6 students (25%) and students who scored above 70 were 13 students (75%).

Abstract

This study aims to overcome problems in learning Arabic at MI Miftahus Shibyan, especially in understanding the material and lacking speaking skills. The method used is the Numbered Head Together method, which is a cooperative learning method in the group learning model. This method provides opportunities for students to share ideas and consider the most appropriate answer and encourages students to increase the spirit of cooperation. This study used a quantitative approach with a pre-experimental design using one group with pretest and posttest. The research population was class III MI Miftahus Shibyan students, with a sample of 34 students. Data were analyzed using different tests and nonparametric Wilcoxon signed rank test using SPSS software. The results showed a significant increase in students' Arabic skills after using the Numbered Head Together method. This method was effective in improving students' speaking skills, although there were variations in the final results. This study suggests further research to adapt this method to the different needs of students and improve the overall teaching of Arabic. The results of this study also indicate the potential of the Numbered Head Together method in learning other languages ​​and at different grade levels

Abstract

One of the tasks of an educator is to coordinate students in learning activities, within the scope of education, reading is an important skill for students to learn. This research focuses on the urgency of educators who are required to have a contribution in increasing interest in reading in individual students. The fact that interest in reading is low among students then becomes the reason for this research being carried out. A fact, where growing, caring for and accommodating students' interest in reading is the role of a teacher. Reflecting on field conditions, this research then uses a qualitative model that is collaborated with a descriptive approach. For the understanding of the descriptive approach, it can be interpreted as research based on a specified group, one situation, one form of idea, or one class of events. While the expected goals of qualitative research with a descriptive approach are oriented towards accurate writing which includes the preparation of sketches in a structured, valid, and on target manner related to events that are of temporary concern. The research results show that the teacher's role is as a teacher, inspirer, initiator, motivator, facilitator, class manager, mediator, and evaluator. Then for supporting conditions in the implementation of increasing students' interest in reading, between academic aspects, environment, infrastructure and learning materials. The inhibiting factors are academic, environmental, and infrastructure that are not used as well as possible, such as the internet network. Characteristics of grade 4 students, who like picture books.

Abstract

Educators are key instruments of learning, their main task is to educate, teach, guide, evaluate and develop the potential of students. One that needs to be developed in students is critical thinking skills, so appropriate learning methods are needed to improve it. This study aims to determine the effect of the Point Counterpoint learning method on the critical thinking skills of students in class V MI Al-Azhar Aqidah Akhlak subject with a Quasi Experimental Design type quantitative research approach. The test instrument used is a multiple choice test. From the results of descriptive statistical analysis the mean value in the experimental class was initially 65.42 to 70.60 while in the control class it was initially 65.04 to 67.81. The normality test results with the Kolmogorov-Smirnov data obtained were not normally distributed, then data analysis using the non-parametric statistical Wilcoxon test obtained a sig value of 0.000 <0.05. Zcount -4.822 > Ztable 1.96 and Mann Whitney U test sig value of 0.013 <0.05 and Zcount -2.490 > Ztable 1.96. Then Ha is accepted, which means that there is no significant effect of the point counter point learning method on the critical thinking skills.

Abstract

Model hybrid learning adalah model pembelajaran pembelajaran yang menggunakan teknologi dan menggabungkan berbagai gaya pembelajaran, model penyampaian, dan pengajaran. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menggambarkan penerapan model hybrid learning pada mata pelajaran Pendidikan Agama Islam dan Budi Pekerti, serta mengidentifikasi faktor-faktor pendukung dan penghambat dalam penerapannya. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode evaluasi program dengan pendekatan kualitatif deskriptif, yang melibatkan observasi, dokumentasi, dan wawancara semi-terstruktur sebagai sumber data. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa persiapan dalam penerapan model hybrid learning memerlukan waktu, baik dalam persiapan sarana dan prasarana di sekolah maupun persiapan guru sebelum memulai pembelajaran. Media pembelajaran yang digunakan adalah Google Meet dan Google Classroom. Evaluasi pembelajaran dilakukan dengan berbagai bentuk evaluasi yang disesuaikan dengan materi yang diajarkan. Evaluasi penerapan model hybrid learning dilakukan setiap hari melalui aplikasi dari dinas pendidikan, serta evaluasi mandiri oleh pihak sekolah setiap bulan. Dalam penelitian ini, terdapat tiga faktor pendukung dan lima faktor penghambat dalam penerapan model hybrid learning. Penemuan faktor-faktor pendukung dan penghambat ini diharapkan dapat membantu pengembangan dan perbaikan implementasi model hybrid learning pada mata pelajaran Pendidikan Agama Islam dan Budi Pekerti.
