Abstract

Purpose of the study: This study aims to determine the effect of using the cooperative model of the think talk write type and the think pair share type with the talking stick strategy on the geography learning outcomes of students in class X IPS SMA N 1 Banyudono in the 2016/2017 academic year (subject matter of inland waters and their potential). Methodology: This research is a quasi-experimental research (Quasi Experiment) with Posttest only control design. The population in this study was class X IPS SMA N 1 Banyudono in the 2016/2017 academic year. The research sample was taken using the Cluster Random Sampling technique with three times taking from the population and obtained class X IPS 4 as the experimental class 1 (defined as the TTW Learning Method with the TS strategy), class X IPS 2 as the experimental class 2 (defined as the TPS Learning Method with the TS strategy ), and class X IPS 5 as the control class (defined as Group Discussion Method). Data collection techniques using tests, documentation and observation. The data analysis technique is parametric inferential statistics with hypothesis testing using one way Anava (one way Anava) and followed by a post Anava test (Scheffe' test) with a significant level of 5%. Main Finding: There are differences in geography learning outcomes between the use of the TTW type cooperative learning model and the TS strategy, the TPS type and the TS strategy and group discussions with a mean score ratio of 20.69; 19.39; 18.12 and proven by the one-way anava test with a significant level of 5% obtained Fcount>Ftable (6.22706>3.08). The TTW type of cooperative learning model with the TS strategy (20.69) is better than the TPS type with the Talking Stick strategy (19.39). The TTW type cooperative learning model with the TS strategy (20.69) is better than group discussions (18.12). TPS type cooperative learning model with TS strategy (19.39) is better than group discussion (18.12). The three learning models have different qualities, the learning model that has the greatest influence is the TTW model with the TS strategy, followed by the TPS model with the TS strategy and group discussions. Novelty/Originality of this study: The cooperative model of the think talk write type and the think pair share type with the talking stick strategy on the learning outcomes of students' geography.

Abstract

Purpose of the study: This study aims to determine the effect of the cooperative learning model of the gallery walk type on student learning outcomes in class X1 at SMA Negeri 5 Sidrap as well as an overview of student learning outcomes after applying the learning model. Methodology: This study used the Pre-Experimental Research Design The One Group Pretest-Posttest Design with a population of 30 students in class X1 at SMA Negeri 5 Sidrap. Due to the relatively small population size, 100% of the population was taken, so the number of samples in this study were 30 students (one experimental class). Data collection was carried out using questionnaires, tests, observations, and documentation. The data analysis technique used is descriptive statistical analysis and inferential statistical analysis. Main Finding: The results showed that the gallery walk cooperative learning model had a correlation of 0.782 in the medium category with the simple regression analysis equation Y = -12.507 + 1.641X. The results of the hypothesis test with SPSS obtained tcount = 6.640 and ttable of 2.048 this means arithmetic ≥ ttable with a value of 6.640 ≥ 2.048 with a significance value of 0.000 so that H1 is accepted and H0 is rejected, this shows that the influence of the use of the gallery walk cooperative learning model on results study class X1 students of SMA Negeri 5 Sidrap. The magnitude of the contribution of the influence of the learning model is 61.2%, while 38.8% is influenced by other factors that have not been studied in this study. Novelty/Originality of this study: Gallery walk cooperative learning model in learning activities to improve student learning outcomes.

Abstract

Purpose of the study: This study aims to determine the effect of the realia model of learning media on geography learning outcomes in class X IIS students on the subject of knowing the earth. Methodology: This study used a quantitative method with an experimental approach. The population in this study were all class X IIS SMA Negeri 22 Jakarta consisting of 4 classes of 144 students. The sampling technique was carried out by purposive sampling, which is based on the grades of the geography subject. The lowest score was obtained in class X IIS 1 and X IIS 2 with an average value of 74.38. The sample used was 72 students, consisting of 2 classes, namely class X IIS 1 as an experimental class of 36 students and class X IIS 2 as a control class of 36 students. The research was conducted in 5 meetings with a time allocation of 3 x 45 minutes each. The instrument used in this study was in the form of multiple choice tests totaling 24 questions. The researcher used instrument tests in the form of validity and reliability tests. After the data was collected, the researcher conducted a requirements test data by normality and homogeneity tests. The data analysis technique used the Paired Sample T-test to test the hypothesis. In processing the data the researchers used SPSS version 16.0. Main Finding: The results of the calculation of the hypothesis test using the Paired Sample T-test obtained the value of –t count < -t table (-12,142 <-2,030) and Sig (2-tailed) 0,000 with α 0,025, so it can be said Sig (2-tailed) 0,000 < α (0.025) which means Ho is rejected. This means that there is an influence of the realia model of learning media on geography learning outcomes in the subject of knowing the earth at SMA Negeri 22 Jakarta. Novelty/Originality of this study: Applying realia model learning media in geography learning activities in an effort to improve student learning outcomes.

Abstract

Purpose of the study: This study aims to determine the effect of educational costs incurred by parents on the learning outcomes of class X students at SMA Negeri 2 Watansoppeng Methodology: The independent variable (independent variable) in this study is the cost of education as the X variable, while the dependent variable (the devenden variable) is the Learning Outcome as the Y variable. The population in this study is all students of class X.2 at SMA Negeri 2 Watansoppeng Academic Year 2015/2016, which totaled 177 students. The number of students who were sampled in this study were 28 students using the Simple Random Sampling technique. The data collection technique used was a list of questions. The data analysis technique used is descriptive quantitative analysis technique (descriptive statistics) used to describe the variable costs of education and learning outcomes variables, simple linear regression is used to determine the effect of the independent variable on the dependent variable, the F test is used to test the research hypothesis, the coefficient of determination is used to determine the contribution of independent variables to dependent variables Main Findings: The cost of education has a positive effect on the learning outcomes of class X students at SMA Negeri 2 Watansoppeng Novelty/Originality of this research: As material for evaluating the effect of educational costs incurred by parents on student learning outcomes.

Abstract

Purpose of the study: This study aims to determine the effect of socio-economic status on student achievement in economics class XI IPS program at SMAN 1 Jogonalan, to determine the effect of tutoring on student achievement in Economics class XI social studies program at SMAN 1 Jogonalan, and to determine the effect socio-economic status and tutoring on student achievement in economics class XI social studies program at SMAN 1 Jogonalan. Methodology: This study was an ex-post facto study. The variables of this study were economic achievement, socioeconomic status, and tutoring. The population in this study were 109 students of class XI IPS at SMAN 1 Jogonalan in the academic year 2014/2015 as many as 109. Collection technique data using questionnaires and documentation. The analytical method used is multiple regression analysis. Main findings: (1) socio-economic status does not have a positive effect on economic achievement as indicated by a sig value of 0.063 more than 0.05. (2) tutoring has a positive effect on economics learning achievement as indicated by a sig value of 0.000 less than 0.05. (3) socio-economic status and tutoring have a positive effect on economics learning achievement as indicated by a sig value of 0.000 less than 0.05. The R2 value of 0.238 means that 23.8% of Economics learning achievement is explained by socioeconomic status and tutoring. While 76.2% is explained by other factors not examined in this study. Novelty/Originality of this research: This research can provide an explanation regarding the influence of socioeconomic status, and tutoring on student achievement in economics subjects.
