Abstract

This community service program was carried out at SD Negeri 1 Sangsit, Buleleng, with the aim of strengthening teachers’ competencies in coding and artificial intelligence (AI)-based learning to support the development of 21st-century skills. The activity was motivated by the challenges faced by teachers who had not yet implemented assessments aligned with the learning steps, such as developing test blueprints and conducting detailed item analyses. In the context of modern education, 21st-century-oriented assessment plays a crucial role as it emphasizes authentic evaluation that integrates critical thinking, collaboration, creativity, and communication skills. Through this workshop, teachers were guided to understand the concepts of coding and AI-based learning while designing assessments relevant to real-world contexts. The program was successfully implemented with 100% realization, resulting in a significant improvement in teachers’ knowledge and skills. This was evidenced by an increase of 73% between the pretest and posttest scores. Overall, the workshop has made a tangible contribution to enhancing teachers’ digital literacy and preparedness in facing the challenges of 21st-century education.

Abstract

The CIS Bali School website is one of the platforms used to provide information for students, parents, prospective students, and the general public. The speed and quality of the information service provided are very important factors in improving the school's integrity. However, communication is currently carried out through traditional platforms such as telephone or WhatsApp, which often results in delays in delivering information to users. This community service activity aims to implement the Tawk.to live chat application on the CIS Bali School website as a solution to improve responsiveness and the quality of user services. The implementation method for this activity includes several stages, namely: (1) Initial coordination and needs analysis with the school; (2) Technical implementation by integrating the Tawk.to code into the website structure; (3) Dashboard configuration and feature customization according to the school's identity; and (4) Training and mentoring for designated staff or operators to operate the chat service effectively. Based on the activities that have been carried out, the Tawk.to service has been successfully integrated into the CIS Bali School website, and the training and assistance in using the Tawk.to application has been well understood by the assigned operators.

Abstract

Pacul Gowang Hamlet is one of the hamlets located in Jatirejo Village, Diwek District, Jombang Regency. Most of the residents of this hamlet work as farmers with main commodities such as rice, corn, and vegetables. However, the farming method used is still traditional, namely planting directly in the soil, which often results in suboptimal yields. The problems faced include unproductive land, low farmer income, lack of knowledge regarding modern cultivation technology, and limited understanding of post-harvest handling and product marketing. This community service program was carried out based on a situation analysis and discussions with local farmers. The purpose is to provide a solution by introducing the hydroponic drip fertigation system, a technique of supplying nutrients through drip irrigation controlled by a timer with high precision. This system was chosen because it is more efficient in water and nutrient usage, reduces the risk of crop failure, and can be applied to limited land areas. The crop cultivated is the Sweet Net 9 melon variety, which has a high market value and stable demand, such as from supermarkets and restaurants. This activity involved 10 KKN (Community Service Program) students to utilize idle land in order to produce high-quality horticultural products, thereby increasing the income and welfare of the Pacul Gowang Hamlet community.

Abstract

This community service program aimed to empower the sports community of Baluk Village – Negara through a table tennis umpire training designed to support the organization of professional and sustainable local tournaments. The activity applied a participatory direct training approach, consisting of three main stages: (1) preparation, involving coordination with village officials and local sports organizations; (2) implementation, including theoretical sessions and match simulations; and (3) evaluation and mentoring through direct observation of participants’ performance. The program was attended by 25 participants, comprising youth organization members, physical education teachers, and village officials. The evaluation results indicated a significant improvement in participants’ competencies, with technical aspects averaging 80% (good), non-technical aspects 89% (very good), and full attendance and participation (100%). Beyond technical mastery, the activity strengthened sportsmanship values, cooperation, and social cohesion within the village sports community. In conclusion, this participatory training method proved effective in enhancing the capacity of local human resources in sports, fostering community collaboration, and promoting independence in organizing village-level sports events. This program serves as a replicable model for community empowerment through sports education, encouraging continuous collaboration between universities, village governments, and local communities

Abstract

The Community Service Program will be implemented for approximately three months, from March 2025 to June 2025, in Belumbang Village, Kerambitan District, Tabanan Regency, Bali. This program is driven by the challenges faced by villages in optimizing information technology for data collection, news input on the Village Information System (SID), and digital promotion due to limited human resource knowledge. The main goal is to help village officials digitize Belumbang Village and develop students' soft skills. This method involves situation analysis, preparation (surveys, permits, material preparation), and the implementation of nine main programs, including managing the OPEN SID website, creating village introduction videos, optimizing posyandu and elderly data, and digital literacy training for students. The results show that this activity facilitates data management, introduces the village digitally, raises public awareness about organic waste management, and improves the digital skills of village staff and students. In conclusion, this Community Service Program successfully contributed to digital transformation and community development in Belumbang Village.

Abstract

This community service program aims to improve the basic Indonesian communication skills of a BIPA learner from South Korea, Jeung Min Yeoung, who has been residing in Bali for nine months. The training was designed using a tourism-based learning approach that integrates language practice into situational contexts, such as visits to local destinations, interactions with the community, and simulations of everyday conversations. This approach provides the learner with more natural language exposure and experiences relevant to daily life in Bali. The program included an initial language assessment, the development of communicative materials, intensive mentoring, and a progress evaluation. The results of the activity indicate an increase in the learner’s confidence and fluency in using basic expressions for asking questions, introducing oneself, shopping, and engaging in social interactions. This program is expected to serve as a model for tourism-based BIPA learning to support the development of communicative competence among foreign learners.

Abstract

Reducing stunting prevalence is a national priority in Indonesia, including in Denpasar City, which continues to accelerate its efforts through cross-sectoral collaborative programs. This article aims to analyze the role of the Division of National and Family Resilience (KBKK) and internship observation activities in supporting stunting reduction efforts. This study employed a qualitative descriptive approach through field observations during the internship program, interviews with KBKK officers, and reviews of government documents related to stunting reduction initiatives. The findings indicate that KBKK plays an essential role in strengthening family education, mapping stunting cases, assisting at-risk families, and enhancing synergy between cadres, internship students, and local health centers. Student involvement significantly improves program effectiveness through direct observation, family assistance, nutrition education, and field data collection that supports case validation for children under five and pregnant women. This collaboration not only enhances students’ understanding of public health issues but also increases the local government’s capacity to identify risks and accelerate interventions. Overall, the synergy between KBKK and internship activities provides substantial contributions to the acceleration of stunting reduction efforts in Denpasar City.

Abstract

This community service activity aims to improve students’ career understanding through the Role-Playing Games (RPG) method, focusing on sixth-grade students at SDN 1 Denbantas. This method was implemented through stages of instruction, mentoring, observation, and evaluation (pre-test and post-test). The results show an increase in post-test scores in students’ career understanding, with an average score improvement of 0.64 after the implementation of the role-play game. In addition, this method also succeeded in enhancing students’ social skills, such as communication and collaboration. Its impact includes increasing students’ enthusiasm for learning and motivating them to explore career options. Furthermore, this activity provides positive benefits for the partner school as a reference in developing more interactive and effective career learning approaches

Abstract

The purpose of this community service activity is to enable teachers at SMK N 1 Sukawati, Gianyar Regency, to utilize the Canva application and create learning media based on Canva for various materials used during classroom learning. The mechanism of the community service method in implementing the activity generally consists of planning/preparation, implementation, assistance, and evaluation. The study was conducted with 6 teacher respondents at SMK N 1 Sukawati. From this community service activity, it can be concluded that the implementation of the Canva application training to improve digital literacy ran well. The teachers were able to create learning media and other products using the Canva application. This is evident from the evaluation results, which showed a significant increase in teachers’ knowledge and skills, as well as their enthusiasm in creating Canva-based learning media.

Abstract

A workshop was conducted to enhance digital literacy and foundational knowledge of coding and artificial intelligence (AI) among subject teachers at Denpasar 4 Public High School. The initiative addressed the need to strengthen educators' competence in integrating digital technology and AI into interdisciplinary instruction. The workshop featured interactive, hands-on sessions. Training materials included introductions to plugged-in, unplugged, and internet-based coding, fundamental AI concepts, prompt engineering for content creation, and the use of Teachable Machine for simple AI exploration. Teachers engaged in discussions and applied these concepts within their respective disciplines, including mathematics, language, and social studies. The outcomes indicated a substantial improvement in teachers' understanding of basic coding principles and the potential of AI as a creative instructional tool. The workshop also enhanced teachers' capacity to address educational challenges and advance digital transformation.
