Abstract

The rapid advancement of digital technology in the 21st century has ushered the world into the disruption era, a phase in which fundamental transformations across various aspects of life are inevitable. One sector that has undergone a significant transformation is immigration services, particularly through the adoption of biometric systems. Biometric technologies—including fingerprint, facial, and iris recognition, have proven effective in enhancing identification efficiency and strengthening border security. Nevertheless, the implementation of such technologies simultaneously raises critical issues regarding personal data protection and individual privacy, as biometric data are inherently unique, sensitive, and highly vulnerable to misuse if not properly safeguarded. This study seeks to examine the implications of biometric implementation in the context of Indonesian immigration, with an emphasis on its administrative benefits, potential security risks, and the relevance of legal frameworks, particularly Law No. 27 of 2022 on Personal Data Protection. Through an analytical approach, this research is expected to provide a conceptual contribution to the strengthening of digital-based immigration governance aligned with the principles of e-government, human rights protection, and public accountability in the disruption era.

Abstract

The background of this research is driven by increasingly intense demands from stakeholders for companies to not only focus on financial profits, but also to be responsible for social and environmental sustainability. The concept of Spiritual Company, which encompasses values such as integrity, meaning in work, caring for others, and a balance between profit and ethical responsibility, is seen as a crucial predictor of corporate sustainability and overall performance. This study aims to explore the influence of the Spiritual Company concept on corporate sustainability and performance through a qualitative approach and identify the mechanisms, supporting factors, and obstacles that arise in the relationship between Spiritual Company and these two variables. The method used is qualitative research with case studies or in-depth interviews involving company leaders, managers, and employees as informants. Data is processed through thematic analysis, open coding, and data source triangulation to ensure the validity and reliability of the research findings. The results of the study revealed that companies that apply spiritual values in their organizational culture, including ethical leadership, employee empowerment, internal justice, and attention to social and environmental aspects, tend to perform better in maintaining sustainability in the economic, social, and environmental dimensions. In addition, Spiritual Companies also contribute positively to company performance, including productivity, job satisfaction, reputation, and competitiveness. However, obstacles are encountered, such as a lack of commitment from leaders, conflicts with short-term profit goals, and ambiguity in implementing spiritual values at the operational level. In conclusion, Spiritual Companies have proven to be significant corporate sustainability and performance predictors. To optimize the benefits, companies should consistently internalize spiritual values and incorporate them into their strategies, policies, and daily operational practices.

Abstract

Technological innovation in the modern era has fundamentally transformed working practices across various sectors. The rise of digitalization and the adoption of hybrid work systems have encouraged a more flexible approach to work, enabling people to operate from virtually anywhere. This Coworking Space design adopts the Design Thinking methodology—an empathetic, user-centered problem-solving approach that emphasizes iterative development. Rather than focusing on identifying problems, the primary objective is to gather concrete data regarding spatial organization and the core functions typically present in Coworking Spaces, particularly within the Samarinda region. The goal is to develop a shared workspace that promotes ergonomics, adaptability, and enhanced user productivity. The central design concept combines Biophilic and Zen Modern principles to cultivate a tranquil atmosphere through the integration of natural elements and a minimalist, balanced aesthetic. The selected materials emphasize both natural and semi-industrial characteristics, including wood, glass, stone, metal grilles, and exposed concrete. Spatial zoning is tailored according to functional needs, encompassing private rooms, both open and enclosed coworking areas, meeting rooms, a mini restaurant, lounge, pantry, and rooftop facilities—providing users with the flexibility to choose work environments that suit their preferences and requirements. This design aspires to serve as a modern, efficient, and adaptable workspace solution that also supports the psychological and physical well-being of its users.

This study aims to determine the extent to which the RBV concept plays a role in providing solutions to the company's efforts to maintain its competitive advantage in a sustainable manner. Through the VRIO framework. The method used in this paper is a literature study, namely by reviewing reading sources related to the concept of competitive advantage through the RBV approach. Based on the results of the study, a company will generally have the ability above the performance of its competitors if it is able to apply the RBV concept. Abstract

The condition of the results of the MTQ (Musabaqah Tilawatil Qur'an) in Kerinci Regency, the achievements obtained are very worrying. In the Decree (SK) issued by the Council of Judges in 2023, Kerinci Regency is in the last position, namely in 10th position out of 10 districts and cities that take part in the MTQ (Musabaqah Tilawatil Qur'an) event. In the recitation branch competition, there are 8 group branches that are contested. Of the eight competitions in the recitation branch category, Kerinci Regency only managed to win two titles, and even then they were runners-up. The aim of this research is to improve the current condition of MTQ results, and the focus of this research is the causes and strategies to change the existing situation. The method used is field research by visiting the object to be studied directly to obtain data that is directly related to the discussion that will be discussed. There are several supporting factors that can improve MTQ performance, namely: first, training. It is needed to hone the skills of qori and qori'ah. Second, government support. Government support is needed both in terms of material and non-material. Third, completeness of facilities. Another supporting factor is that the facilities provided must be adequate so that qori and qori'ah can be comfortable in studying and honing their abilities in the art of reading the Koran. The conclusion is that the factors that cause the performance of Qori and Qori'ah in Kerinci Regency are in a very worrying condition, in fact for the last three years Kerinci Regency has been in the last rank, the cause is due to the lack of adequate facilities and infrastructure provided by the Kerinci Regency and the lack of attention from the government both on services to qori and qori'ah and lack of appreciation so that there is no strong motivation from qori and qori'ah.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the influence of the hadith about the rights and duties of husband and wife on the harmony of Muslim families. In Islam, the family is a fundamental institution based on love, affection, and responsibility. Hadiths of the Prophet Muhammad provide guidance on the rights and obligations of husband and wife to create a harmonious and balanced household. This study examines the extent to which the understanding and application of these traditions contribute to the quality of relationships in Muslim families. The approach used in this study is quantitative correlational, with the Stratified Random Sampling method in sampling from Muslim families in Jember. Data were collected through interviews, observation, documentation, and questionnaires measuring the level of hadith understanding and family harmony based on aspects of communication, husband's leadership, wife's role, and couple's emotional well-being. Data were analyzed by Pearson Product Moment correlation test using SPSS version 26.0 for Windows to measure the relationship between the variables of hadith comprehension (X) and family harmony (Y). The results showed that there is a significant positive relationship between the understanding of hadith about the rights and obligations of husband and wife and the level of Muslim family harmony. The higher the understanding and application of hadith in the household, the better the level of communication, conflict management, and psychological well-being in the family. This study confirms that Islamic teachings on the rights and obligations of husband and wife have relevance in building a harmonious and stable household life.

Abstract

Work-life balance (WLB) is an important factor in determining psychological well-being, especially for single-parent families who must face challenges in dividing their roles as breadwinners and child caregivers. This study aims to analyze the influence of work-life balance on the psychological well-being of single parents in Jelbuk, Jember. Using a correlational quantitative method, this study involved a sample of single parents who have lived in this condition for at least two years, selected using the Stratified Random Sampling technique. Data were collected through interviews, observations, documentation, and questionnaires, then analyzed using the Pearson Product Moment correlation test with the help of SPSS software. The results of this study are expected to provide insight into the relationship between work-life balance and single parents' psychological well-being. The findings will also provide recommendations for community-based interventions that can help single parents achieve better balance. From an Islamic perspective, the concept of balance between the world and the hereafter is an important basis for understanding work-life balance, as reflected in Qur'anic verses and hadith. Thus, this research not only provides academic contributions but also practical insights that can be applied in social life.

Abstract

This study aims to describe the teacher's role in improving students' Qur'an reading ability through ghorib musykilat learning at TPQ Al-Ahsan Taman Sari. This research uses a descriptive qualitative method with a case study approach. Data were collected through observation, interviews, and documentation. The ghorib musykilat lessons are conducted after students complete Books 1 to 6 and Juz 27 of the Qiro'ati method, with teachers providing direct and intensive guidance. The learning focuses on difficult words and special reading marks such as imalah, isymam, tashil, and saktah. The Qiro'ati method is selected for its effectiveness in gradually and systematically building students' ability to read the Qur'an, enabling them to recognize various types of readings and marks. Teachers at TPQ act as educators, guides, facilitators, motivators, and evaluators. Besides teaching correct reading techniques, teachers instill Islamic values and create a supportive learning environment to boost students' confidence. The findings reveal that the comprehensive role of teachers significantly contributes to enhancing students' ability to read the Qur'an accurately and fluently, especially in understanding and pronouncing ghorib musykilat readings. The applied learning approach also improves students' motivation and discipline.
