Abstract

Letters are a formal form of written communication that convey official information, bear legal validity, and serve as a basis for decision-making. The Protocol and Leadership Communication Division (Prokopim) of the Regional Secretariat of Situbondo Regency plays a crucial role in managing official letters, including requests for cooperation (MoU) from Regional Government Organizations (OPD). However, based on observations and interviews conducted during the Field Work Practice (PKL), it was found that the management of MoU request letters is still handled manually, either through printed documents or scattered digital files, making tracking, scheduling, and archiving difficult. This study aims to design a web-based information system for submitting cooperation request letters that can be accessed by all OPDs and centrally managed by the government section. The method used includes field observation, interviews, and system requirements analysis. The proposed system is expected to streamline administrative workflows, improve efficiency, support information transparency, and facilitate decision-making regarding inter-agency cooperation requests within the Situbondo Regency Government.

Abstract

This research addresses the scheduling inefficiencies at SMA Negeri 32 Kabupaten Tangerang, where 27 teachers manage 788 students across 21 classes using the limited ASC Timetables trial version, resulting in unstable schedules, inflexible adjustments, and time-consuming revisions. The study aims to develop and implement a web-based teaching schedule system using the Shortest Job First (SJF) algorithm to optimize workload distribution and minimize scheduling conflicts. The system was developed using the Rapid Application Development (RAD) method with Laravel framework, MySQL database, and MVC architecture. The SJF algorithm prioritizes teachers with shorter teaching durations, achieving an average Turn Around Time of 505.19 and Waiting Time of 467.56, indicating optimal time allocation. Functional testing through Black Box Testing demonstrated 100% success rate across all system features, while White Box Testing revealed Cyclomatic Complexity values between 2-4, indicating well-structured code. Usability evaluation yielded an excellent score of 92-95 out of 100. User satisfaction surveys showed 93% satisfaction among curriculum administrators and 83% among teachers, both categorized as "Strongly Agree". The system generates complete schedules in under 3 seconds, eliminates scheduling conflicts entirely, and enables flexible modifications without requiring complete regeneration. This research proves that the SJF algorithm can be effectively adapted for educational scheduling contexts, providing significant contributions to educational management information systems and serving as a reference for similar implementations in other schools.

Abstract

Hydroponic plants will have good growth if the pH of the water is between 6-7. However, rainwater that falls can affect the pH of hydroponic plant water. Then an Arduino application was made to make an automatic sunroof cover with a water sensor in a rainwater simulation. By making this application it is intended that the sunroof can open and close automatically which can detect rainwater. This Arduino application generates data that can provide warnings when it rains. The method used is the R&D (Research and Development) method which is a process or steps to develop a product. The expected results with the Arduino application in making automatic sunroof covers with water sensors in rainwater simulations can help hydroponic farmers deal with rainfall. Hydroponic farmers can be assisted in closing the sunroof on hydroponic plants.Keywords: Hydroponics, Microcontroller, Sunroof, Rain Drop Sensor.

Abstract

The management of student permits to leave the school area is an essential aspect of maintaining security, discipline, and the school’s responsibility toward students. The manual system currently used still has several weaknesses, including delayed validation, susceptibility to data manipulation, limited access to information, and difficulties in monitoring by teachers and parents. This study aims to design a web-based student permit and monitoring system with a case study at SMA Darul Ma’arif, South Jakarta. The research method was conducted through observation, interviews, literature study, and documentation to identify problems in the existing system. The software development process applied the Scrum method, which is iterative and adaptive, consisting of stages such as product backlog, sprint planning, sprint, daily scrum, sprint review, and sprint retrospective. The proposed system provides features for digital permit applications, validation by teachers on duty and security staff, automatic recording of student check-in and check-out, and integrated notifications for parents. The research results show that the developed system improves the effectiveness of permit recording, accelerates reporting, reduces the potential for permit misuse, and provides data transparency for both the school and parents. With this system, student monitoring outside the school area becomes more efficient, accurate, and structured, thereby supporting the creation of a safe, orderly, and trustworthy school environment.
