Abstract

A website is one of the digital healthcare service platforms that can be accessed through smartphones, facilitating the connection between healthcare providers, nutritionists, and the public for healthcare services. The Teaching Factory Nutrition Care Center is a nutrition service center managed by healthcare providers from the Department of Health at Politeknik Negeri Jember. Clients visiting the center can receive health consultations related to tracking their health, adopting a healthy diet, daily nutrition consultations, issues related to stunting in infants and toddlers, as well as consultations for pregnant mothers. The identified problem is the lack of a profile website that provides information to the public and the manual booking of consultations through staff or via WhatsApp. Result: A design proposal for a web-based application is suggested as a promotional and informational platform. It should have features including an information menu for healthy diets related to various diseases, a schedule of nutrition counselors, an online chat with nutrition counselors, and information related to articles or news about health and nutrition. The design process followed the waterfall method up to the design stage. The website design has been successfully completed.

Abstract

Managing data in health services is of course very complicated and requires a lot of time. Information systems in health services provide efficient benefits. The service and reporting process at the NCC is considered to be still not optimal. The impact of patient visits is still minimal and does not attract the attention of consumers. The aim of this research is to create a web-based service system at NCC. The method used is the System Development Life Cycle system development. The results of the planning found that NCC provided one of the services handled by nutritionists regarding calculating children's nutritional status based on anthropometric standards. The system analysis is divided into 2, namely functional requirements and non-functional requirements. In system design, a system flowchart, context diagram and data flow diagram are obtained. At the system implementation stage, the user has tested it using a black box test with satisfactory results

NCC aims to provide nutritional services to Polije employees and the wider community. However, NCC does not yet has an online nutrition consultation system that supports services for clients. The aim of this research was to design and implement an online nutrition consultation system (telenutrition) at NCC Politeknik Negeri Jember. The method used was Scrum which has the stages of user stories, product backlog, sprint planning, daily scrum (sprint execution), sprint review, sprint retrospective. Research informants consisted of the Head of NCC and NCC consultants for identifying user needs. The result showed that telenutrition facilitated clients to get services. Meanwhile, telenutrition also facilitated nutritionists to educate and monitor client nutrition. It can be concluded that the system has been designed and is ready to be implemented at NCC.

Abstract

: Stroke is a cerebral vascular disease characterized by the death of brain tissue that occurs due to reduced blood and oxygen flow to the brain. Ischemic stroke is associated with diabetes mellitus, therefore it is important to identify the risk factors that cause stroke and DM by diagnostic cause of the disease. This study aimed to classify and compare accuracy tests on medical record data sets for stroke and DM. This study analyzed the diagnosis of stroke and DM using Decision Tree. The risk factors consisted of gender, age, blood pressure, nutritional status, smoking, history of DM, and history of hypertension. The results of the analysis using the Decision Tree method showed that the accuracy rate was 86.67%, which means that the modeling has a good level of correctness of the prediction results. We conclude that the Decision Tree method was an accurate method for detecting stroke and DM.

Abstract

Pericardial effusion is a condition characterized by fluid accumulation in the pericardial cavity. This fluid accumulation can cause disturbances in cardiac contractility, affecting hemodynamic stability. Fluid accumulation is caused by several factors, ranging from the amount of fluid, the speed of fluid accumulation, and the ability of the pericardium to accommodate fluid. One of the causes of pericardial effusion is pericarditis. Pericarditis can be caused by infection and non-infection, such as in patients with chronic renal failure with an incidence of 2-21%, which can lead to cardiac tamponade. In this study, a 46-year-old male patient who came to the emergency room of Dr. Soebandi Hospital, Jember with complaints of shortness of breath in the last 2 months. The patient also complained of heartburn. The patient had a history of chronic renal failure and routinely performed hemodialysis. On examination of vital signs, thoracic photographs, and echocardiography, a picture of cardiac tamponade was found. Cardiac tamponade can occur in patients with chronic renal failure. This is due to the condition of uremia which causes pericarditis. Inflammation of the pericardium causes blood that is intravascular to enter the pericardial cavity, causing fluid accumulation there. If not treated immediately, it can lead to cardiac tamponade which endangers the patient's life.

Abstract

Background: Provider Initiated HIV Testing and Counseling (PITC) is a service offering HIV testing by health workers to all patients in health facilities1. The quality of PITC services that do not meet standards is still a problem, thus becoming an obstacle to PITC services. This causes PITC user satisfaction to be low. The aim of this research is to determine efforts to optimize health workers in the implementation of provider-initiated HIV testing and counseling (PITC). This systematic research was conducted using the Preferred Reporting Items for Systematic Reviews and Meta-Analyses (PRISMA) method to assess, review and synthesize research. Search through the database by entering the keywords "HIV", "HIV test", "Provider initiated HIV testing and counseling" "PITC", on PubMed, Science Direct, ProQuest. 9 research journals were selected after going through specified stages. Barriers for health workers are high workload, lack of human resources and not all health workers are trained in PITC. Optimizing PITC services in health care settings cannot stand alone, health services that are integrated with other health services require the ability of health workers to be able to offer HIV tests to patients. Optimizing human resources in the health sector can be done by increasing the ability of health workers to carry out PITC through good education and training. The complete implementation of PITC starting from the pretest and posttest will emphasize changes in patient behavior to improve their health status.

Abstract

Hypercholesterolemia is a lipid metabolism disorder characterized by increased blood cholesterol levels. The alternative functional drinks that can reduce cholesterol levels are beverage ingredients that contain flavonoids, such as red dragon fruit and soybeans. Flavonoids can inhibit cholesterol synthesis by inhibiting the HMG-CoA reductase enzyme. Soybeans are also have a hypocholesterolemic effect because they contain isoflavones. This study aimed to determined the potential of soybean and dragon fruit peel powder on the cholesterol levels of hypercholesterolemic Sprague Dawley rats. This study was a true-experimental design with a pretest - posttest with control group. The samples were 27 male Sprague Dawley rats, weighing 150-250 grams and aged 2 -3 months. The samples were divided into a control group and a treatment group that was given soybeans dragon fruit peel powder drink at a dose of 12.8 ml/kgBB/day for 14 days. Total cholesterol levels were measured using the CHOD–PAP method. Data were analyzed using the One Way Anova test, Post Hoc or Man Whitney test and Paired T-test. The results showed that there was a significant difference in total cholesterol levels in mice before and after the intervention (p= 0.003). Giving soybeans dragon fruit peels powder drink can significantly reduce total cholesterol levels in the treatment group (P) by 18.45% (p= 0.044).
