Abstract

This study aims to determine the effect of education level, economic growth, and investment on the unemployment in Mimika Regency, both partially and simulaneously. The method used is this study is associative. The data collection technique employed by the researchers is the documentary technique that has been collected and published by the Central Statistics Agency. The analysis tool used in this research is multipe linear regression. The results of the study indicate that partially, education level, economic growth and investment do not have a significant effect on the unemployment rate in Mimika Regency. Simultaneously, education level, economic growth, and investment also do not have a significant effect on the unemployment rate in Mimika Regency.

Abstract

The objective of this research is to examine the relationship between understanding tax regulations, tax socialization, tax sanctions, and individual taxpayer compliance at KPP Pratama Badung Utara. Indonesia as a developing country is highly dependent on state revenue, especially in tax revenue. The aforementioned symptom in Indonesia today is the low compliance ratio of taxpayers in submitting tax returns due to the deficient tax system in Indonesia, namely the self-assessment system. Primary data, consisting of questionnaires, and secondary data from KPP Pratama Badung Utara were utilized in this study. The population in this study were 118,750 taxpayers, with a sample of 100 respondents determined using the Slovin formula with the accidental sampling method. Multiple linear regression analysis was the method of analysis. Results demonstrated that comprehension of tax regulations, tax socialization efforts, and tax sanctions positively influenced individual taxpayer compliance. The combined effect of these independent variables explained 53.6% of the variation in individual taxpayer compliance. This study suggests that KPP Pratama Badung Utara should focus on understanding of tax regulations, tax socialization, and tax sanctions to increase individual taxpayer compliance.

Abstract

Digital transformation has become an important focus for state administration to improve public services. Digital innovation has the potential to simplify government procedures, increase citizens' access to information, and enable more open and transparent government. This study explores various aspects of digital innovation in the context of state administration and how they contribute to the more efficient provision of public services. Through literature analysis, this study identifies the successes, challenges, and best strategies in implementing digital technology. The results show that despite infrastructure barriers, cyber resilience, and the need for human resource capacity building, the move towards digital-based services can improve compliance, increase transparency, and reduce corruption. This study provides recommendations on how the government can adopt a policy framework and cross-sectoral collaboration that will accelerate the adoption of digital innovation, as well as how to mitigate risks related to data privacy and security.

Abstract

Criminal profiling is a method that combines forensic science, criminology, and psychology to create a profile of the perpetrator that can assist in the investigation process. This technique has been the subject of research in recent decades, particularly in relation to serious crimes such as serial murder and sexual assault. Criminal profiling helps law enforcement understand the nature and behavioral patterns of offenders to predict their next actions and create better arrest plans. However, academics and practitioners still debate its effectiveness. This research uses the literature review method by collecting and analyzing 10 journals related to criminal profiling. This study aims to provide a comprehensive analysis of the advantages and disadvantages of criminal profiling methods in law enforcement, with an emphasis on the importance of the validity and credibility of these methods. This research will also discuss the theoretical basis of criminal profiling, techniques, and its application in various contexts.

Abstract

Regional head elections are a process of replacing regional heads, which is a democratic process that produces future leaders, but in the process sometimes it has a positive or negative impact. The influence of modernization makes the people of Southeast Aceh more mature in democracy, social media which is a mouthpiece for information to the public will have a very significant influence on thinking, especially among young people or new voters. Where new voters are a vote bank that is quite decisive in the regional head election in Southeast Aceh 2024. However, on the contrary, young people are often the target of those who spread false information, so they are vulnerable to being objects by the perpetrators of the hoax spreaders. KIP Aceh Tenggra as the organizer is of course an institution that has the authority to carry out a series of regional head election activities using social media as a dissemination of information at every stage of the regional election, namely Facebook as a social media that often makes people get every stage of the 2024 regional head election. Also, each candidate uses social media in the process of socializing an effective vision and mission to reach new voters in Southeast Aceh. However, it is not uncommon for sympathizers to use Facebook as a medium to spread incorrect information to attack their opponents in the 2024 Southeast Aceh district elections. It is very unfortunate if this can worsen Indonesian democracy in the future.
