Abstract

The study was conducted in Sayo district with the objective of assessing challenges and opportunities of artificial insemination on dairy cattle, to document potential opportunities of artificial insemination, to identify the challenges of artificial insemination and to assess the perception of farmers on the AI technology in the study area. Three kebeles, three were taken purposively and 20 households from each kebele were randomly selected. The data were collected using semi structured questionnaires, interview and direct observation. The reproductive and productive data were analysed statistical software (SAS version 9.3.1 where as other data were analysed by simple descriptive statistics. The result of this finding shows that the overall mean of daily milk and lactation length of dairy cows in the Sayo distinct were5.83+0.82L and 240+18.43 days respectively whereas the overall mean of age at first calving, calving interval and number of services in the study area were 968.42+269.83, 449+22.09 days and 1.93+0.71times respectively.

Abstract

The rapid spread of the Covid-19 virus to various parts of the world has an impact on the world economy, both in terms of trade, tourism and investment. Small and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) have felt the significant impact of Covid-19. The batik industry is also affected because it involves imported raw materials, although there are some batik industries that can escape the hustle and bustle of the impact of Covid-19 and are able to experience business growth. This study will analyze the business growth of batik SMEs, especially Kauman Pekalongan batik and the factors that influence business growth are business management. The purpose of this research is on the growth conditions of the Pekalongan Batik MSME business during the Covid-19 pandemic. This study uses a grand theory, namely the theory of finance and the theory of entrepreneurship. The results showed that there was a decrease in operating income, a sluggish batik market from both the consumer and business perspective, difficulty in distributing raw materials and rising material prices which caused several businesses to close and shift their business lines. The analysis showed that 47% of the business growth of Batik SMEs in Pekalongan is influenced by business management which consists of business financial management, production management, entrepreneurial characteristics and digital technology. The limitations of the study due to social curbs which made it difficult to access research data had an impact on the time of the study.

Abstract

Local government financial management mechanisms have continued to undergo significant changes in recent years. This article seeks to reveal the process and analysis of academic activities to support the performance of the regional financial and asset management office as a form of assistance and understanding of regional financial and asset management as a form of knowledge. This activity was carried out at the Regional Financial and Asset Management Agency of Central Sulawesi Province, starting with the provision of a pre-test before socialization or presentation of material then interactive discussions between the service team and service participants. Participants were given a post-test afterwards. The ultimate goal of this activity is the transfer of knowledge possessed by the service team in the field of accounting, especially accounting for fixed assets in the field of government accounting, to managers of regional property and regional assets of Central Sulawesi Province. It is hoped that the government team can carry out better administration, bookkeeping and preparation of financial reports. Empirical analysis is also presented in this research.

Abstract

This study is to find out what activities carried out by boarding school to improve the character of the community in the boarding school environment by taking a case study in a boarding school in Yogyakarta. This research uses a type of field research that uses a qualitative approach. From the results of the analysis to examine the role of Islamic boarding schools to improve character in the Krapyak Islamic boarding school community in Yogyakarta, boarding school activities related to the community to improve the character of the people living in boarding schools are like community service. It can be concluded that the Krapyak Islamic boarding school in Yogyakarta has a role in the community around the boarding school.

Abstract

Rhizophora mucronata is a type of mangrove from the Rhizophora family that can have high adaptability to an environment. The seed nursery process can be carried out by several methods, including the wetland and dry land methods. This study aims to determine the growth of mangroves. The material used in this fieldwork practice is to see how the techniques and methods of mangrove nurseries (Rhizophora mucronata) are used by the NGO Biota Foundation. The methods include preparing maintenance by embedding propagules in polybags using the wetland method in tidal areas. The results show the growth of Rhizophora mucronata mangrove from the pericarps root size, reaching 0.1 mm at four weeks.
