Abstract

Purpose of the study: The purpose of this study was to describe the effect of applying the probing prompting learning model based on a scientific approach to student learning outcomes at SMP N 9 Muaro Jambi. Methodology: This type of research is descriptive research with a quantitative approach. The research design used was a random pretest posttest design. The research instruments are tests for the realm of knowledge and observation sheets for the realm of attitudes and skills. Data analysis to find out the average difference in the realm of knowledge used the one-tailed t test. Determination of increased learning outcomes using N-Gain. The description of the effect of applying the model is from the attitude and skills observation sheet. Main Findings: The probing prompting learning model based on a scientific approach influences student learning outcomes. Novelty/Originality of this study: As material for contributing ideas in order to develop the process of learning mathematics at the junior high school level or equivalent, especially in social arithmetic material.

Abstract

Purpose of the study: To find out the increase in fun learning in science subjects using monopoly game media in class IV SD Negeri 13/1 Muara Bulian. Methodology: This research method is classroom action research. In this study there were three cycles, in one cycle carrying out two meetings. There are four procedures of this study, namely planning, implementation, observation and reflection. Main Findings: The results of this study are that the use of monopoly games can increase fun learning in Science class IV SD Negeri 13/1 Muara Bulian. The monopoly game used in science learning is different from the monopoly game in general, namely giving quizzes in the form of questions from the material students have studied. It makes students relax, students' attention is devoted, enthusiastic, happy, high concentration and safe when learning takes place. Novelty/Originality of this study: Increase knowledge about the use of monopoly game media as a learning medium to increase fun learning.

Abstract

Purpose of the study: To find out whether there is an influence of learning discipline and learning independence on the economics learning outcomes of class X students of SMA Negeri 2 Kerinci. Methodology: This research is a quantitative research. And in accordance with the problems raised, this research is classified as Ex-Post Facto research. The population in this study were 122 class X students of SMA Negeri 2 Kerinci. The respondents taken in this study were 55 respondents (students). In this study, the tool used by researchers to collect data on variables X1 and X2 was by using a questionnaire or questionnaire, while the Y variable in this study was obtained from the results of daily tests for class X SMA Negeri 2 Kerinci students, documentation was taken to strengthen the data collection tool in this study. Data collection was carried out by distributing intelligence test questions to students of SMA Negeri 2 Kerinci. Prior to distributing the questions, the questions used must be good and appropriate or in other words the validity and reliability tests of the instrument have been carried out which can only then be presented to respondents. Respondents were asked to choose one answer by giving a checklist. Data analysis techniques, using normality, linearity and regression tests. Main Findings: There is a positive and significant influence between student learning discipline (X1) and student learning independence (X2) on economic learning outcomes (Y) of class X SMA N 2 Kerinci simultaneously with a calculated F value greater than Ftable (Fcount = 27.135> Ftable 3.20) with a significance of 0.000<0.05. The coefficient of determination = 0.511 gives an understanding of economic learning outcomes 51.1% is determined by Learning Discipline and Student Learning Independence in learning while the remaining 48.9% is explained by other factors not examined. This means that the better the student's learning discipline and the higher the student's learning independence will result in an increase in student economics learning outcomes. Novelty/Originality of this study: Knowing that there is a positive and significant influence between student learning discipline (X1) and student learning independence (X2) on economic learning outcomes (Y) class X SMA N 2 Kerinci.

Abstract

Purpose of the study: The purpose of the study was to describe the ability to write argumentative paragraphs, class X Multimedia 1 students of SMK Negeri 9 Muaro Jambi in the 2016/2017 academic year by applying conditions such as, (1) aspects of paragraph criteria which include introduction, body of argument, and conclusions, (2) paragraph aspects such as unity, coherence and development, (3) linguistic aspects which include grammar, word choice, and punctuation. Methodology: This research uses a descriptive-quantitative method. The instrument used is the argumentative paragraph writing test. The subjects of this study were 24 students in class X Multimedia 1 at SMK Negeri 9 Muaro Jambi. The research instrument was in the form of an argumentative paragraph writing test. Main Findings: The results showed that in general the ability to write argumentative paragraphs of class X Multimedia 1 SMK Negeri 9 Muaro Jambi was quite capable. The details are (1) the ability to apply argumentation criteria which include introduction, body of argument, and conclusions with a value of 4.3 (able), (2) the ability to apply the requirements of a good paragraph includes unity, coherence, and development with a value of 3.7 (quite capable ) and (3) the ability to apply linguistic requirements which include grammar, word choice, and spelling and punctuation with a score of 3.6 (quite capable). Novelty/Originality of this study: Based on this conclusion, it is suggested to Indonesian language teachers at SMK Negeri 9 Muaro Jambi to improve learning to write argumentative paragraphs. Especially the ability to apply criteria such as, (1) aspects of argumentation paragraphs including introduction, body of arguments and conclusions, (2) aspects of good paragraphs include unity, coherence and development, (3) linguistic aspects which include grammar, choice of words, spelling and marks read.

Abstract

Purpose of the study: The research objective was to determine the multiple intelligences of students in biology learning activities for class XII IPA at SMA Negeri 1 Sarolangun Regency. Methodology: The design used in this research is a descriptive analytic research design. The number of samples in this study were 40 students. The types of data in this study are quantitative and qualitative. The method of collecting data in this study is by interviewing and documentation. Main Findings: In the Linguistic intelligence indicator, the percentage reached 76.15% in the high category, Mathematical-Logical intelligence reached 75% in the medium category, Visual-Spatial intelligence reached 71% in the medium category, Kinesthetic intelligence reached 67.5% in the medium category, Musical intelligence reached 59% in the high category, Interpersonal intelligence reaches 67.5% in the medium category, Intrapersonal intelligence reaches 74.15% in the medium category, and Naturalist intelligence reaches 81.5% in the high category. Novelty/Originality of this study: Provide reference material that can be used as material for consideration in developing learning strategies and tools in carrying out learning activities.
