Abstract

Changes in forest ecosystems of brackish water in Indonesia has reached the alarming level. Center for the Study of Marine Fisheries and Bung Hatta University in 2005 mentioned, brackish water forest area in West Sumatra reached 39 832 hectares. Mentawai district has an area of 32,600 hectares of mangrove forests, West Pasaman area of 6273.5 hectares. Results showed that the level of damage is highest in the district of Padang Pariaman, 80 percent or comparable 160 hectares. As in West Pasaman reached 30% and the Mentawai Islands as much as 20%. For the city of Padang, the forest area of brackish water no more than 10 hectares. The forest is only found in the Banana River. Others mostly already built housing or for tourism.

Abstract

This study aims to determine how these green technologies is a solution to preserve water resources. The research method is literature. The results obtained are: climate change caused by global warming are already being felt its impact in people's lives. If no preventive efforts, the impact of global warming in the future is a very serious threat to the lives of all the creatures on earth. In the face of the impact of Global Warming necessary mitigation efforts and adaptation that involves the community, such as water resource conservation technology with plant biology (bio-park), domestic waste water treatment technology with ecological sanitation (Ecosan), flower garden waste water (waste water garden), sanitation garden (sanita) and the concept of green technology (green tecnology). Green technology is one of adaptation and mitigation of the impact of Global Warming which is in line with the principle of sustainable development (sustainable development). Various Green Technology in the field of preservation of water resources and wastewater treatment has been available to be applied in the construction. Suggestions in this study are: for the government to attempt to campaign for the use of green technology and for the community also can use green technology in order to minimize global warming ranging from the household. Keywords: green technology and conservation of water resources

Abstract

Climate and good performance in the construction needs to be executed, the characteristic is community participation, transparency, responsiveness and accountability. If this does not work together it will be a bottleneck in the development. With reference to the MPR IV / MPR / 2000 on recommendations in the Implementation of Regional Autonomy Policy, then the provision of opportunity for the public to actively participate in the implementation of development processes, including in the process of spatial planning. To realize the true public participation should be pursued. So cooperation with relevant parties such as universities, non-governmental organizations (NGOs), community leaders, parliamentarians, and other stakeholders need to be synergized. Strategies undertaken to improve the role of the community can be done by: 1) increasing awareness (Awareness Raising), 2) Advocacy Policy (Policy Advocacy), 3) Development Institutions (Institution Building), 4) Capacity (Capacity Building). Thus the community involvement in spatial planning becomes particularly relevant in the context of creating its territory, namely the layout in the public interest and create a beautiful environment

Abstract

Aves species is very abundant in the forest area of Indonesia and its biodiversity is influenced by a number of environmental quality parameters. This research aimed to determine the level of species diversity and abundance of aves species in forest areas of Padang, West Sumatra, Indonesia. The second purpose of this study was to determine factors affecting of diversity and abundance of aves species. The method of this research used bird survey technique (method list of 20 species of birds). This method can be used to complete the list of bird species was found in the forest area, using the quantity of bird species that have been observed. To restrict it, we can use 20 species of aves. Based on this study, in the forest area of UNAND have 21 species of aves. Based on the relative abundance of bird species, the birds most commonly found are species of wallet. Whereas some other aves species have a relative abundance slightly. This happens because of disruption of habitat for aves and forests area by human activities. Keywords : distribution, aves species, measuring of biodiversity
