Abstract

Countries around the world, especially in developing countries, are struggling with poverty. The definition of poverty is a complex problem that is influenced by several interrelated elements, such as unemployment rates and education levels, and whether or not these issues have an impact on poverty, especially in East Jakarta. This study aims to determine the relationship between unemployment and education with poverty in East Jakarta from 2018 to 2022. Secondary data used in this study comes from time series data, namely information from the East Jakarta Central Statistics Agency regarding community unemployment, the number of poor people, and the gross participation rate at the high school level in East Jakarta. Using the Eviews12 application, multiple linear regression analysis was used to process the data. The findings of this study indicate that, at the same time, the level of education significantly reduces poverty in East Jakarta.

Abstract

Today's young generation is one of the users of internet-based technology. The availability of this technology means we can connect to social media, which has now become an addiction for the younger generation. The addiction makes them want to stay on social media for a long time using the technological devices they own. Social media that is often used includes WhatsApp, Instagram, X, TikTok, Facebook, and others. By combining evidence from research, personal correspondence and book sources, this research shows that social media can be an opportunity but also a challenge for the younger generation in order to form character education towards Indonesia's golden generation. In conclusion, social media is an effective tool in forming character education so that the younger generation has high integrity, responsibility and is ready to face future challenges.

Abstract

In this era where everything is easily accessible, there are many benefits provided by technological developments, from the smallest things such as the ease of obtaining information to the biggest things such as the ease of connecting with people in any part of the world. But with the ease of this information, there are still many people who have minimal knowledge about financial management, this will have a fatal impact, not only on themselves, but can also have an impact on their environment. As a result of this lack of knowledge, many people are currently having difficulty distinguishing between needs and wants, which is exploited by irresponsible people who offer the promise of quick profits through online gambling and trapping online gambling victims into taking out online loans.

Abstract

The purpose of this written research is to examine the impact of economic expansion, unemployment rates, and income inequality on the unemployment rate in Indonesia between 2015 and 2022. Secondary data used comes from various sources, including the Central Statistics Agency (BPS). The data used in this written research covers the years 2015–2022, with most of the data coming from the Indonesian Central Statistics Agency (BPS) and related books and journals. Regions or places with the highest percentage values of unemployment variables in Indonesia were selected using purposive sampling techniques, documentation techniques, and library research methods. The dependent variable in this written research is unemployment, while the independent variables are economic growth, poverty, and income inequality. The panel data used in this written research is a combination of cross-sectional and time series data. The observation size of this study is 72 and covers nine provinces with high unemployment rates over a period of eight years, namely 2015 to 2022. The provinces with the highest unemployment rates are Aceh, Riau Islands, West Sumatra, Banten, DKI Jakarta, West Java, North Sulawesi, Maluku, and West Papua. In written research, the research hypothesis is tested using the panel data regression analysis method. The Cammon Effect Model is proven to be the most effective model for written research, according to the results of the analysis. From 2015 to 2022, income inequality has a positive but insignificant effect on unemployment, poverty has a positive but insignificant effect, and economic growth has a negative and significant effect on unemployment in Indonesia.

Abstract

Clean water, as one of a living creature’s main resources to live, is supposedly considered as one of renewable resources available on Earth that is accessible to everyone and plays a huge role in our daily lives. In spite of clean water being everywhere on Earth, as time goes on, with the growing population rate, the increasing rate of pollution, and many other factors, the water that is available on Earth is no longer ethical to be used daily since those degradation factors mentioned are implying water scarcity in the future. This has led us into irony. Water, which is supposedly one of renewable resources, will no longer safe to be accessed by everyone. This study used quantitative methodologies and a fixed effect model approach to perform research utilizing panel type data. According to the analysis performed for this study, the number of consumers, employees, and businesses that are present and dispersed over Java Island has a 96% influence on the amount of water given to the community.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the export competitiveness of fresh fish and other processed fish commodities from Indonesia to China, Japan, and Malaysia. The study employs three analytical methods: Revealed Comparative Advantage (RCA), Revealed Symmetric Comparative Advantage (RSCA), and Trade Balance Index (TBI), to evaluate the competitiveness of Indonesia’s key fisheries commodities. The results indicate that Indonesia has a significant comparative advantage in mollusca commodities in all three export destination countries. Mollusca consistently serves as Indonesia's leading product in international markets, reflecting a strong position in the global market. Conversely, commodities such as fresh fish exhibit lower competitiveness compared to mollusca. Based on these findings, more targeted strategies are needed to enhance the competitiveness of other fisheries commodities. Product diversification, innovation, and quality improvement are crucial steps to maximize
