KITABA is an open access journal that publishes peer-reviewed articles on Interdisciplinary Arabic Learning. KITABA: Journal of Interdisciplinary Arabic Learning is a scholarly journal that focuses on Arabic learning with an interdisciplinary approach. The journal covers various topics related to the integration of different disciplines and expertise in Arabic learning, such as linguistics, literature, technology, history, and culture. The journal may discuss teaching and learning strategies that use an interdisciplinary approach, as well as empirical research on the effectiveness of interdisciplinary Arabic learning. In addition, the journal may present case studies on the experience of teaching and learning Arabic in various educational contexts and levels, as well as the application of technology and media in interdisciplinary Arabic learning. The scope of this journal, in more detail, includes: Arabic learning in general Arabic learning strategies The use of technology in Arabic learning Linguistic studies in Arabic learning Literary studies in Arabic learning Historical and cultural studies in Arabic learning Evaluation and development of Arabic learning curriculum Development of teaching materials and Arabic learning media Implementation of Arabic learning at various levels of education and institutions Models of Arabic Education program management. Development of Arabic proficiency. The Journal of Interdisciplinary Arabic Language Learning aims to provide scholarly articles related to Arabic language learning that can provide a more holistic and comprehensive understanding of Arabic language and culture. The journal also seeks to improve the quality of Arabic language teaching and learning by integrating different disciplines and expertise. This journal can be used as a reference for practitioners and researchers in the field of Arabic language teaching and learning, as well as academics interested in the integration of different disciplines and expertise in Arabic language learning. By reading this journal, readers are expected to gain a broader insight into interdisciplinary Arabic language learning and be able to apply interdisciplinary strategies and approaches to Arabic language teaching and learning more effectively.

Abstract

Arabic language learning in the digital era that demands global communication skills that students must have, teachers need to use social media in audio-visual based learning such as Youtube, Tiktok, Instagram and Facebook. The use of social media has an influence in audio-visual based Arabic language learning, namely: increasing learning motivation, improving listening skills, increasing vocabulary mastery, improving speaking skills, easily accessible, and increasing creativity. Although social media has influence and advantages, it also has disadvantages that must be anticipated. The most prominent drawback of social media is the presence of negative audio-visual content that is not worth showing to students. Therefore, teachers must be qualified facilitators in filtering content so that teaching materials on social media are in accordance with learning objectives.

Abstract

In learning a foreign language such as Arabic, vocabulary is a very important aspect. This study discusses an android-based picture guessing game in increasing the Arabic vocabulary of MI Hasyim Asyari Jember students. The purpose of this study was to determine the effectiveness or not of the Android-based picture guessing game in increasing vocabulary. The object is students of class II MI Hasyim Asyari Jember. This research is included in the pre-experimental research because it only uses one class as the experimental class as well as the control class. The design used was one group design pre-test post-test. Researchers used the data method in the form of a test with ten multiple choice questions. Based on the results of the pre test and post test, the average pre test result was 61.5 and the post test average was 83.5. In addition, the calculated t value is greater than t table so that H0 is rejected and Ha is accepted. So, an android-based picture guessing game can be said to be quite effective in increasing the vocabulary of grade II students with a percentage of 65.75%.

Abstract

Today, printed dictionaries are less attractive to their users. Even though dictionaries are significant in learning languages, especially foreign ones, technological developments have led to the emergence of dictionaries in digital form with various conveniences. This study aims to: 1) find out the typology of digital ”Kamus Istilah Penelitian Indo-Arab” based on a lexicographical approach, 2) find out the ideal criteria contained in the ”Kamus Istilah Penelitian Indo-Arab.” The data collection technique used in this article is library documentation with the dictionary application as the source. The results of this article are: 1) ”Kamus Istilah Penelitian Indo-Arab” is included in the typology of bilingual or bilingual dictionaries, special dictionaries, alphabetical dictionaries, and limited thematic dictionaries. 2) this dictionary meets the criteria of an ideal dictionary, namely completeness, brevity, accuracy, and ease of explanation.

Abstract

One of the informal learning platforms in Arabic learning is learning courses.  The online Arabic course program has a rapid development during the Covid-19 pandemic until now. This wascreated to support Arabic language learning which is carried out at home.  Users of this learning service certainly have quite a lot of enthusiasts. Therefore it certainly has special program management to control the activities that take place in it. This research intends to find out how the management process is in this program and analyze the problems faced. The method used is a qualitative approach. Data collection techniques in the form of interviews, observations, and documentation. The results showed that the management in this course has 4 stages in the form of 1) planning; establishment of programs and materials taught, 2) organization; establishment of course schedules and preparation of evaluations and assessments, 3) implementation; providing motivation and guidance between coaches and teachers, teachers and students, as well as communication related to problems on social media, 4) control; evaluation and refinement of the curriculum used in the course.

Abstract

This research intended to find out: 1) indicators of disciplinary attitude assessment, 2) assessment techniques discipline attitude at Al-Irsyad Tengaran Islamic Boarding School 7 Batu City, 3) efforts in instilling the values of discipline to the students at Al-Irsyad Tengaran Islamic Boarding School 7 Batu City. This study uses a qualitative approach with descriptive qualitative research methods. The data sources used by researchers in this study were school principals, heads of curriculum sections, Arabic subject teachers and students at Al-Irsyad Tengaran Islamic Boarding School 7 Batu City. The research results are: 1). There are 10 indicators for discipline attitudes assessment, 2) the assessment technique is carried out by the teacher for each subject in each note, but based on predetermined indicators. 3) inculcating the value of discipline including; a) the teacher and the pesantren always invite and guide the students to be on time, b) the teacher and the pesantren always invite the students to always maintain good and polite speech, c) the teacher and the pesantren also always appeal to all the students to can maintain neatness, especially in dressing, d) teachers in class has an obligation to the students to provide motivation and advice related to the importance of instilling discipline in carrying out activities
