Abstract

Improving the academic productivity of lecturers is one of the main focuses of universities in addressing the challenges of globalization in education. Scientific publications play a strategic role in supporting lecturer career development while enhancing the institution's reputation. This study aims to analyze the effect of incentives on increasing scientific publications and their impact on the career development of lecturers at Bina Darma University. A quantitative approach was used with a survey involving 61 faculty members. Data were analyzed using SmartPLS 4. The results show that incentives do not significantly influence scientific publications or career development, while scientific publications positively affect career development. These findings suggest the need for administrative reform and enhanced research facilities to improve the effectiveness of incentive policies.

Abstract

Tolitoli is a regional language spoken in Central Sulawesi, which still has a significant number of native speakers despite experiencing cultural fluctuations. Efforts are needed to protect and preserve this local language. This study aims to classify and describe adverbial phrases in the Tolitoli language using a qualitative descriptive method with observation, recording, and note-taking techniques. Data were collected from interviews with native speakers in Ginunggung Village, as well as relevant literature. The findings show that the dominant adverbial phrase patterns in Tolitoli are T-H-T (Modifier-Head-Modifier) and T-T-H (Modifier-Modifier-Head), with the modifier often appearing after the head, as seen in noosa laus (too slow). These phrases are categorized into three main types: manner, degree, and time, with degree adverbial phrases being the most dominant. Double modifiers are used to emphasize intensity or quality. These findings enhance our understanding of the syntax of the Tolitoli language and contribute to the knowledge of linguistic diversity in Indonesia.

Abstract

This study conducts a systematic literature review and bibliometric analysis to investigate the shifting goals and curriculum trends in English Language Teaching (ELT) from 2015 to 2025. Drawing upon a dataset of 92 articles retrieved from the Scopus database, the study identifies influential themes, key authors, dominant approaches, and emerging conceptual developments in the field. The findings reveal a major shift from traditional grammar-based instruction to communicative, reflective, and context-responsive teaching methodologies. Five primary thematic clusters are identified: instructional innovation, intercultural communication, sustainable integration, affective and psychological dimensions, and institutional reform. Furthermore, the study underscores the increasing significance of teacher professionalism, learner autonomy, and interdisciplinary approaches in shaping modern ELT curricula. Data visualization was carried out using VOSviewer, and the review process adhered to PRISMA standards to ensure methodological transparency and rigor. This comprehensive analysis offers valuable insights into how ELT has evolved in response to global educational demands and 21st-century challenges. It provides a strategic foundation for future research, curriculum development, and pedagogical innovation within the dynamic landscape of language education.

Abstract

Teacher feedback plays a crucial role in enhancing students' speaking skills, motivation, and confidence in learning English as a foreign language (EFL). This study aims to investigate the types of feedback provided by English teachers and the challenges they encounter in offering feedback at SMP Negeri 16 Mataram. Using a qualitative research approach, data were collected through interviews with 2 teachers and 5 students. The findings reveal that teachers primarily used positive and constructive feedback to encourage students’ participation and improvement. However, teachers face several challenges, including students' lack of interest, low motivation, and difficulties in pronunciation and grammar. This study highlights the need for effective feedback strategies and interactive teaching methods to enhance student engagement and learning outcomes.

Abstract

This study analyzes the development of a digital-based educational quality ecosystem at SMK Bhineka Karawang, Indonesia, focusing on enabling factors, challenges, and strategies to sustain digital transformation in vocational education. The research is driven by the urgency of educational digitalization in the industry 4.0 era, which demands the integration of leadership, teacher competence, infrastructure, policies, and school culture. A qualitative case study design was applied through in-depth interviews with eight informants (the principal, vocational teachers, and IT staff) selected purposively, supported by document analysis, and examined using thematic analysis. The findings highlight three key themes with measurable indicators: (1) leadership commitment and policy alignment, evident in digital planning documents and resource allocation; (2) teacher digital competence and continuous professional development, reflected in participation rates in digital training; and (3) infrastructure readiness and integration challenges, measured by facility availability and system interoperability. The results indicate that the success of a digital ecosystem requires a systemic approach that combines leadership vision, teacher empowerment, and well-coordinated infrastructure support. This study enriches the limited literature on digital transformation in Indonesian vocational schools by presenting an empirically grounded framework. It offers guidelines for practice, including leadership training in digital change management, differentiated teacher development programs, and sustainable infrastructure planning aligned with pedagogical goals.
