Abstract

This study investigates the factors influencing high school students' attitudes toward choosing Sharia Economics as a field of study in Jakarta. Guided by the Theory of Planned Behavior (TPB), the research examines the roles of subjective norms, perceived behavioral control, religiosity, and career perception in shaping student attitudes. Using a quantitative approach and data from 120 students, multiple linear regression analysis revealed that all four factors significantly impact students attitudes, explaining 53.4% of the variance. Career perception emerged as the most influential variable, followed by religiosity, subjective norms, and perceived behavioral control. The findings highlight the importance of aligning religious values, career prospects, and social support to foster interest in Sharia Economics. The study suggests that promoting Islamic economics education should involve strategic efforts in career counseling, religious integration, and resource accessibility

Abstract

The development of science in the 21st century has undergone significant transformations not only in the empirical and technical domains but also in conceptual and philosophical dimensions. Philosophy of scienceconcerned with ontology, epistemology, and axiologyhas experienced dynamic shifts shaped by globalization, digitalization, and technological acceleration. These developments have had strong implications for contemporary management theory, which must address increasing complexity, ambiguity, and ethical challenges. This study aims to analyze the dynamics of philosophy of science in the last decade and their influence on management theory, with particular attention to leadership, innovation, ethics, and sustainability. Using a qualitative literature study, the research draws upon scholarly articles, books, and conference papers to construct a conceptual framework. Findings indicate four major transformations: (1) ontology has moved from positivist and mechanistic views toward complexity and context-dependence; (2) epistemology has shifted to pluralism, acknowledging the legitimacy of multiple methods; (3) axiology has increasingly emphasized value-laden inquiry, recognizing the ethical and social dimensions of scientific practice; and (4) technological advancement, particularly in artificial intelligence and data-driven systems, has challenged conventional standards of knowledge, fairness, and accountability. These philosophical shifts demand that management theory evolve into a more adaptive, value-sensitive, and contextually grounded practice. Practical illustrations, including responses to the COVID-19 pandemic and algorithmic bias in recruitment, demonstrate how philosophy of science can enrich managements responsiveness to global and local challenges. Ultimately, this study highlights the importance of philosophical literacy in sustaining management theorys relevance in contemporary contexts.

Abstract

This study explores the application of deep learning techniques in assessing and enhancing the skills of vocational high school (VHS) students. Vocational education plays a critical role in preparing students for the workforce, and the integration of artificial intelligence, particularly deep learning, has the potential to transform how students practical and theoretical skills are evaluated. Through a comprehensive review of existing literature, this research investigates the effectiveness of deep learning models, such as deep neural networks (DNNs) and convolutional neural networks (CNNs), in predicting and assessing vocational students' competencies. The findings reveal that deep learning offers promising accuracy in skill prediction and personalized feedback, with applications ranging from automated grading systems to skill-specific assessments in technical fields. However, challenges such as data quality, model interpretability, and integration with traditional education systems remain significant obstacles. The study concludes with recommendations for further research, including expanding deep learning applications to real-time assessments and hybrid evaluation methods. Overall, this research highlights the potential of deep learning to enhance vocational education but underscores the need for addressing existing challenges to ensure its effective implementation.

Abstract

Abstract

The development of digital investment and cryptocurrency in Indonesia requires adequate legal protection to ensure a safe, transparent, and trustworthy ecosystem. Notaries play a strategic role as guardians of legality, serving as parties that provide legal certainty, prevent dispute risks, facilitate regulatory compliance, and educate the public and digital industry actors on the legality of transactions. This study employs a literature review method, collecting, examining, and analyzing various secondary sources, including laws and regulations, scientific journals, legal articles, and publications related to digital investment and cryptocurrency. The findings indicate that notaries function not only as transaction recorders but also as mediators between regulations and digital practices, legal compliance enforcers, and educators of legal literacy for investors. The synergy among notaries, regulators, and digital platforms is a crucial factor in creating a legitimate and sustainable investment ecosystem. Moreover, the adaptation of notaries to digital technologies, including smart contracts and blockchain mechanisms, is key to enhancing legal protection for investors. These roles collectively affirm the notarys position as a primary pillar in maintaining the legality of digital transactions and strengthening the integrity of the cryptocurrency investment ecosystem in Indonesia.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the effect of work discipline and occupational health and safety (OHS) on employee performance with work motivation as a mediating variable at PT PLN (Persero) UP3 Manado. The research was motivated by the low Organizational Performance Score (NKO) in 2024 and the occurrence of workplace accidents in the unit. This research employed a quantitative approach with a causal explanatory design. A total of 103 permanent employees were selected as the sample using Slovins formula from a population of 186 employees. Data were collected through a five-point Likert scale questionnaire and analyzed using Partial Least SquaresStructural Equation Modeling (PLS-SEM) with SmartPLS 4. The results indicate that work discipline does not directly affect performance, but it has a significant positive effect on motivation. OHS significantly affects both performance and motivation. Motivation significantly affects performance and mediates the influence of discipline and OHS on performance. The mediation role of motivation is full in the relationship between discipline and performance, and partial in the relationship between OHS and performance. These findings highlight the crucial role of motivation as the main driver of employee performance. Therefore, performance improvement strategies at PLN UP3 Manado should focus on strengthening work discipline, implementing OHS, and enhancing employee motivation.
