Abstract

The research begins June – July 2021 at the Laboratory of the Faculty of Animal Husbandry, Balitar Islamic University. This study used an experimental method using a completely randomized design (RAL) with a 2x5 factorial pattern with 5 replications. Factor A is room temperature and temperature <10°C, Factor B is storage for 0 days, 1 day, 3 days, 7 days and 14 days. The changes observed were the value of egg white index, egg yolk index and haugt unit. The results showed that temperature and storage had a significant effect (P<0.05) on the egg white index, the interaction between temperature and storage time had no significant effect (P>0.05) on the egg white index. temperature and storage time had a significant effect on the yolk index and haugt unit index values. The interaction between temperature and storage time had a significant effect (P<0.05) on the index value of egg yolk and egg white. The effect can be seen from the decrease in the value of the egg yolk index, egg white index and haugt unit. The conclusion of this study is that eggs stored at room temperature are not stored for more than 3 days because on the 7th day there is a significant decrease in value, while those stored at temperatures <10°C can maintain egg quality in the good category until a shelf life of 14 days.

Abstract

This The purpose of this study was to determine the effect of mixing tapioca flour on organoleptik test (color,taste,aroma,crispness) on cow’s milk crackers. The research method is an experiment a completely randomized design (CRD) with a unidirectional pattern. The treatment in this study was the use of tapioca flour on cow’s milk which consisted of 5 treatment, namely the addition of 750 gr, 700 gr, 650 gr, 600 gr where each treatment was repeated 5 times. The results of this study were the organoleptic effect of tapioca flour and the addition of cow’s milk on the resulting milk crackers, namely the best treatmen was the color in the treatment (P3) yellowish white, the taste in the treatment (P4) did not taste milky, the aroma in the treatment (P4) was quite milky, The crispness in treatment (P4) was quite crunchy. However, it is better to make cow's milk crackers by mixing tapioca flour more so that the taste and aroma of cow's milk crackers are better. From the conclusion for P3 treatment (with the addition of 700gram tapioca flour).

Abstract

Molase had been used feed additive to cattle adding nutients feed and water. The research was to know effect of molases on carcass, giblet, and abdomen fat. The experiment used 200 Day Old Chicken (DOC) of broiler strain Cobb, this rearch used analysis of variance method of design with 4 treatments and 5 replication was observed, there was P0 = 0% molase, P1 = 1 % molase, P2 = 2% molase and P3 = 3% molase. The results that showed the molase no real effect (P>0.05) on carcass and giblet, the percentage of carcass producef in the research was 69.75±0.58% to71.05±0.4%, and a giblet of 71.65±2.46% to 75.55±4.01%. However significantly (P<0.05) on abdomen fat, the percentage of abdomen fat research was 1.69±0.033% to 1.86±0.031%. based on the results, it can be concluded that the ration by using addition molase 1% produced the hight percentage of carcass and giblet, while produced the low abdomen fat

Abstract

The objective of this study was to determine the effect of zonation in the closed house enclosure on its microclimate conditions and the physical appearance of broilers. This study used 22,000 day old cobb strains broilers divided into four zonation area, i.e., zone 1 = an area 0-30 m from the inlet, zone 2 = 30-60 m from the inlet, zone 3 = 60-90 m from the inlet, and zone 4 = 90-120 m from the inlet. Air temperature and humidity of each zone were recorded daily from day 7 to day 21 st of the rearing period.. On day 28st, a total of 360 chicks were selected randomly from 90 chick each zone for bodyweight and Uniformity. This study shows that the environmental conditions of the enclosure were characterized by a tendency for the temperature to increase in the area away from the inlet, on the contrary, the humidity level decreased. However, the differences in the value of these environmental parameters can still be tolerated by chickens, which are body weight, uniformity and mortality by a fairly normal score. The different zonation in the closed house for broilers was fairly enough to provide a good environmental condition for broilers as observed from broiler performance.

Abstract

The purpose of this study was to determine the effect of the addition of ginger juice on the organoleptic test of milk caramel candy. This study used a completely randomized design method (RAL) whith 4 treatmens and 3 replications, where each tretmen P0 (control), P1 (50ml), P2 (100ml), and P3 (150ml). then analyzed using analysis of variance (ANOVA) and Duncan test. The result of this study indicate that the highest valui for color P2 is (chocolate), aroma is P3 (sweet), texture is P3 (soft), teste is P0 (typical of milk candy). The conclution of this study is that the addition of ginger juice has a significant effect on color, aroma, texture, and teste. Suggestions from this study are that it can be used as a reference material and a laboratory test the content of milk caramel candy
