Abstract

This Community Service activity aims to increase the proficiency of PPG English teachers in finishing the TOEFL-based English test questions.  To achieve this goal the methods in implementing this activity is through Webinar and training with a combination of theory and practice as well as discussion and performance of the results of the training at the end of the activity. The result of implementing this activity is that TOEFL-based English training is one of the efforts that can be made to improve English mastery skills for teachers, participants benefit from knowledge about the theoretical basis, principles, and strategies of the TOEFL test and its grid so that it better equips the students' teachers in dealing with TOEFL-based English questions, as well as improving the English language skills of teachers in general. Moreover, the results of this activity can be used as material for consideration in making policies related to improving the quality of teachers in their respective schools

Abstract

The purpose of this community service is to give members of Micro, Small and Medium Businesses (MSMEs) under the Sleman Creative House an introduction to management. The Sleman Regency Industry and Trade Office established the Sleman Creative House as a platform to help Micro, Small, and Medium-Sized Businesses (MSMEs) in the Sleman region. PPM tasks are completed online through Zoom. 44 participants make up the targeted audiences, who are Micro, Small and Medium-Sized Businesses (MSMEs) under the Sleman Creative House. The activity was conducted by first delivering the content, then having a group discussion about the challenges the training participants encountered running their businesses. Financial management, social media-based digital marketing management, and turnover mastery are covered in the management introduction. The pre-test, process evaluation, and post-training using the post-test provide evidence of the success of the implementation of MSME training. PPM activities went off without a hitch. The program was enthusiastically followed by the participants throughout. The introduction of marketing and financial management is anticipated to be able to enhance the skills of Micro, Small and Medium Businesses (MSMEs) under the Sleman Creative House, which have a variety of companies including catering, batik, souvenirs, tourist transportation, and homestays.

Abstract

The pedada fruit (Sonneratia caseolaris) tastes sour and has a distinctive pedada aroma, as well as a soft fruit texture, so it can be processed into several food products such as jenang, lunkhead, jam and syrup, but its development into an instant antioxidant and immune system boosting drink has not been processed yet. utilized. The highest content of vitamin C in broiler makes it taste sour and unpleasant to eat directly. To overcome this, an innovative functional instant drink powder with added sugar was created. This PPM aims to process pedada fruit which is often found and wasted in Teluk Majelis Village into effective innovations such as instant drinks, jelly candy, marshmallows and can open jobs. The method in this PPM includes counseling related to the benefits and nutritional content of bacada fruit as well as demonstrations on making pedada instant drinks, jelly candies and pedada marshmallows. The PPM results obtained pedada instant drink products, pedada jelly candies and pedada marshmallows which will be made into superior products in Teluk Majelis Village, Kuala Jambi, Tanjung Jabung Timur. From the results of monitoring and evaluation of PPM activities, it was found that the UMKM of Teluk Majelis Village had produced jelly candy and chest marshmallows and had been introduced through the Birthday Expo of East Tanjung Jabung Regency and had become the flagship product of Teluk Majelis Village which was useful as an immune system booster during the Covid-19 pandemic

Abstract

Hospitals as one of the agencies that have a role in providing health services to the community are required to improve the quality of performance or quality of service in meeting needs and expectations so as to provide satisfaction to the community. One indicator of the quality service needed is an increase in the quality of services provided. As an effort to improve service quality, there are two quality indicators (communication and patient safety) that have not been optimally implemented in the hospitals. This Community Service (PKM) aims to provide training and increase knowledge through socialization and outreach to the nurses in one of the government hospitals in Bukittinggi, West Sumatera. The method that has been used in this PKM includes counseling related to the therapeutic communication between nurse-patient and socialization of hand washing with six steps and five moments. The results of this PKM obtained an increase in the knowledge and competence of nurses as well as the procedural for implementing hand washing and five moments in the treatment room. From the results of monitoring and evaluating PKM activities, it is known that nurses understand and practice therapeutic communication and five moments. It is hoped that this activity will be useful for increasing the knowledge and experience of therapeutic communication between nurses and patients as well as five moments of hand washing by nurses in the room as an effort to improve indicators of the quality of nursing care as a collaborative services in the hospital

Abstract

One of the efforts to increase public awareness of the importance of preserving mangrove ecosystems in the Mahakam Delta is by developing the capacity of the community to be able to take advantage of the potential of existing mangroves in the Mahakam Delta region. When the community is able to obtain economic value from the utilization of non-timber mangrove forest products, it is hoped that public awareness of the existence and sustainability of mangrove forests will increase. One of the mangrove products that has economic value and is a daily need for the community is an antiseptic liquid soap with the addition of pedada (Sonneratia cassiolaris) mangrove fruit extract. Antiseptic liquid soap with pedada fruit extract can be utilized and meet the sanitation needs of the community in Tani Baru Village, Anggana District, Kutai Kartanegara Regency as one of the villages in the Mahakam Delta region in particular. With the training on making bacada fruit antiseptic liquid soap, the aim is for the community to be able to increase their creativity in exploring pedada-type mangroves into a product that provides added value and high economic value. The results that have been achieved in this training are that the community is able to make their own antiseptic liquid soap for their daily needs and can open up business opportunities in entrepreneurship
