Abstract

This community service program aims to improve the quality of learning, learning motivation, student engagement, and learning outcomes of Grade XI Software Engineering (RPL) students at SMK Negeri 6 Kendari through the use of educational game-based digital learning media using the Zep Quiz platform. The main problems faced by the partner school include low student participation in learning, low learning motivation, and limited use of interactive digital learning media that align with the characteristics of digital-native students. The implementation method consisted of several stages, including needs analysis, digital learning media design, student training, classroom mentoring, and evaluation. Zep Quiz was used as an interactive learning medium for basic programming and algorithmic logic topics in the RPL subject. The results showed a significant improvement in students’ learning motivation, classroom engagement, and conceptual understanding of basic RPL materials. Students demonstrated more positive learning attitudes, higher enthusiasm, and greater active involvement in digital-based learning activities. This program confirms that educational game-based digital learning media can create a more engaging, interactive, and effective learning environment, contributing significantly to the improvement of vocational education quality. Therefore, the use of Zep Quiz is recommended as an alternative digital learning medium in vocational schools, particularly in Software Engineering programs.

Abstract

The advancement of intelligent technology has reconfigured counseling practices, particularly within digitally mediated counseling settings. While technology expands access to mental health services, it also poses risks to the authenticity of counselor presence and the depth of the therapeutic relationship. This study aims to examine the meaning of counselor presence in digital counseling through a phenomenological perspective, as well as to identify key challenges and rehumanization strategies in the era of intelligent technology. A qualitative approach with a philosophical narrative literature review design was employed, drawing on international journal articles and academic books published over the last five years. Data were analyzed using reflective thematic analysis to interpret concepts of presence, intersubjective relations, and the impact of technology on therapeutic experience. The findings indicate that counselor presence in digital counseling shifts from physical co-presence to an intentional and intersubjective phenomenon constructed through mindful attention, reflective awareness, and deliberate emotional engagement. Technology creates a paradox by simultaneously enhancing service accessibility and constraining authentic presence through reduced nonverbal cues, increased cognitive-emotional load, and heightened risks of technology fatigue and burnout among counselors. This review underscores the necessity of rehumanizing digital counseling through mindfulness practices, active adaptation to digital media, and the development of human-centered digital counseling models to preserve meaningful, ethical, and humanistic therapeutic experiences.

Abstract

Digital Population Identity (Identitas Kependudukan Digital/IKD) is a national policy aimed at supporting the digital transformation of population administration to improve the quality of public services. This study aims to analyze the implementation of the IKD policy in Mojokerto City using the policy implementation framework of Van Meter and Van Horn. This research employs a qualitative descriptive approach, with data collected through observation, interviews, and documentation, and analyzed using the Miles and Huberman model. The results indicate that the implementation of IKD has been carried out but has not yet been optimal. Policy standards and objectives have been clearly established; however, the achievement of IKD activation targets has not met the predetermined goals. Human resources and infrastructure are relatively adequate, but technical problems in the application and low levels of digital literacy among the community remain challenges. Policy socialization has not reached all segments of society evenly. These findings suggest that the success of IKD implementation is influenced not only by clear standards and sufficient resources, but also by implementers’ disposition and the social readiness of the target community.

Abstract

This study aims to improve children’s listening skills through the storytelling method by utilizing the teacher’s storytelling ability at TKA/TPA Al-Mujahidin Bawapitu, Pangkep Regency. This research is a qualitative study. The subjects of this research were children and teachers at TKA/TPA Al-Mujahidin Bawapitu. The objects of the study were listening skills and teacher ability. The data collection methods used were observation and documentation conducted during the learning process. The data analysis technique applied in this study was descriptive quantitative analysis. The research was carried out over three meetings. The results of the study showed that children’s listening skills could be improved. The observation results indicated that in the first meeting, 3 children had good listening skills; in the second meeting, 12 children; and in the third meeting, the number increased to 17 children. Based on these results, it can be concluded that the storytelling method, supported by the teacher’s storytelling ability, can improve children’s listening skills. The process of improving listening skills through the storytelling method includes: (a) the teacher thoroughly preparing before storytelling, (b) the teacher selecting a storyline that is appropriate to the characteristics of children’s stories, and (c) the teacher giving rewards to children who are active while listening to the story.

Abstract

This study aims to identify and synthesize the factors that affect Generation Z's job satisfaction through the Systematic Literature Review (SLR) approach. This review analyzes 20 quantitative scientific articles published in the Scopus indexed journal Q1–Q4 quartile in the 2015–2025 range. The study selection process follows the PRISMA guidelines with the support of the Watase Uwake application to ensure transparency and replication of the literature screening procedure. The data obtained were then analyzed using a thematic synthesis approach to group the determinants of job satisfaction into organizational clusters, leadership, job characteristics, and individual psychological factors. The results of the study show that work flexibility is the most consistent determinant in increasing job satisfaction of Generation Z. Other factors that play a significant role include the quality of adaptive leadership, a fair reward system, career development opportunities, meaningful job design, and employee psychological well-being. In contrast, work stress, burnout, and job insecurity have consistently been shown to lower job satisfaction levels. This research makes a theoretical contribution by systematically mapping the determinants of job satisfaction of Generation Z and integrating previously fragmented empirical findings, thereby strengthening the understanding of job satisfaction as a multidimensional construct in the context of the younger generation workforce.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the contribution of modern philosophy of science and its impact on improving the professionalism of Guidance and Counseling (BK) teachers using a literature review method. The study focuses on ontology, epistemology, and axiology as the basis for developing BK knowledge and professional practice. The methodology applied is qualitative, with data collection conducted through a review of academic journals and relevant books, which are then processed using thematic analysis. The findings of this study indicate that the philosophy of science provides a solid conceptual framework for BK as an organized, reflective, and ethical discipline. This philosophical understanding has an impact on improving the professionalism of guidance counselors, especially in honing scientific thinking, making ethical decisions, demonstrating a reflective attitude, and maintaining moral integrity in the provision of services. Thus, the application of modern philosophy of science is strategically important in improving the professionalism of guidance counselors who are responsive, humane, and in line with changes in education today.

Abstract

This study aims to examine the underlying considerations of judges in canceling sales agreements of joint property that has not yet been divided after a divorce, as well as to analyze the legal reasoning behind the judges’ decisions. The research method used is Normative Legal Research, employing a Library Research approach and a Statutory Approach, along with Interview Methods (file research). The basis for the judges’ decisions in this case is that both the seller and the buyer acted without good faith. As a result, there is still an aggrieved party, namely the plaintiff, who is the former wife of the seller, because the item sold was still classified as joint property. Every individual, community, or even state engaging in a sale—whether large or small scale—must ensure that the origin and purpose of the item being sold are clear so that no other parties are harmed. In this case, the item sold was still joint property, but it was sold without the consent of one of the parties, which led the judge to annul the transaction. Selling joint property without the approval of both spouses after a divorce is considered legally flawed and constitutes the criminal act of embezzlement. Such an act may be subject to a maximum imprisonment of four years and a Class IV fine of IDR 200,000,000 (two hundred million rupiah). Thus, it can be concluded that before conducting any sale, it is essential to verify whether the item is joint property to avoid potential legal disputes in the future.

Abstract

Digital transformation in public services is a local government strategy to improve the effectiveness, efficiency, and transparency of services. The Surabaya City Government implemented the Surabaya Single Window (SSW) Alfa as an integrated electronic-based licensing and non-licensing service system. This study aims to evaluate the implementation of the SSW Alfa Program at the Menur Public Service Center (SPP) in Surabaya City. The study used a qualitative approach with data collection techniques through observation, interviews, and documentation. Research informants consisted of the Head of SPP Menur, service officers, and community users of SSW Alfa services. The program evaluation analysis used William N. Dunn's policy evaluation criteria, including effectiveness, efficiency, adequacy, equity, responsiveness, and accuracy. The results showed that from the aspects of effectiveness and efficiency, SSW Alfa was able to accelerate the licensing process and save time and service costs. However, from the aspects of adequacy and equity, the program has not fully reached all community needs, especially related to digital literacy and service access. In terms of responsiveness, services are still not optimal due to slow responses to public complaints. Meanwhile, from the aspect of accuracy, SSW Alfa is considered to be in line with community needs and the direction of Surabaya City's e-government policy. This study recommends improving public digital literacy, enhancing officer responsiveness, and enhancing the system so that all services can be accessed digitally without the applicant's physical presence.

Abstract

Since 2020, the Department of Population and Civil Registration of Garut Regency has implemented online population administration services. However, in its implementation, several problems have still been identified. Therefore, this study aims to determine the effectiveness of these online population administration services. This research employs a qualitative (naturalistic) method with a descriptive approach, in which the researcher acts as the research instrument and collects data through observation, interviews, and documentation. The results show that in the productivity dimension, the number of online service applications is lower than manual service applications, and similarly, the number of documents issued through online services is lower than those issued manually. In the quality dimension, the quality of online population administration products is fairly good; however, the quality of online services is not yet satisfactory, as it is often constrained by facilities and infrastructure. In the efficiency dimension, online population administration services shorten service time and simplify procedures. In the capability dimension, online services require the public to possess adequate information technology skills and require officers to be responsive. In the benefit dimension, the community perceives the benefits of online population administration services and responds positively to them. The study also identifies inhibiting factors related to inadequate facilities and infrastructure, limited public understanding, and the lack of technological resources among community members.

Abstract

This research addresses the limitations of pragmatic studies focusing on directive acts within the high-pressure context of modern military action movies. The study aims to investigate the types and situational aspects of the functions of directive acts used by main characters in The Expendables 4 (2023). Employing a qualitative descriptive method, the research integrates Searle's (1975), taxonomy directive acts with Leech's (1983) framework of situational aspects to analyze movie dialogue. Data collection involved watching the movie, transcribing relevant scenes, and classifying utterances based on Searle's (1975) and Leech's (1983). The findings revealed 30 directive utterances, categorized into five types: 15 commands, 6 warnings, 4 requests, 3 instructions, and 2 suggestions. Commands were the most dominant form of the data, which reflects the hierarchical and urgent nature of military operations where immediate compliance is critical. The study concludes that situational urgency and combat intensity have a direct impact on the linguistic realization of directive acts, favoring brevity and force over politeness, but cooperative directive acts like requests and suggestions still play a strategic role in team coordination.
