Abstract

The research aims to design a sports recreation programme to reduce negative thinking among second grade intermediate students of East Baghdad suburban schools, and to identify the effect of the sports recreation programme in reducing negative thinking among the research sample. To achieve the goal, the researcher used the experimental method and the design of the experimental and control groups with pre-testing and post-testing to suit it with the research issue and objectives, the research population included intermediate second grade students with ages (14_15) years in East Baghdad suburbs education for the academic year (2024-2025), and the sample was selected 2025), and the research sample was selected by the purposive method, and they are the students of the second intermediate grade of Martyr Hussein Karidi Intermediate and their number (320) students divided into (8) divisions, namely (A, B, C, D, E, F, G, H) and they were divided into two experimental and control groups and were selected by random method (lottery), as the experimental group was identified from division (C) and their number (32), which was trained on the recreational programme, and the control group from division (E) and their number (35), which used the traditional curriculum followed by the teacher of education in the outskirts of East Baghdad for the academic year (2024-2025), and the experimental and control groups were divided into two experimental and control groups. The researcher conducted the pre-test and post-test for the experimental and control groups, and conducted the appropriate statistical treatments, and the researcher concluded that the negative thinking scale is able to detect negative thinking in the second intermediate grade students in East Baghdad suburbs education, and that the sports recreational programme has a clear effect on reducing negative thinking in the second intermediate grade students in East Baghdad suburbs education. The researcher recommends that the proposed recreational sports programme should be used in middle schools because the middle stage represents the stage of early and middle adolescence in which biological, psychological and social changes occur, the possibility of using the negative thinking scale to measure the level of negative thinking among students aged 14-15 years to identify their reality, the media to increase the awareness of parents and teachers in treating their children well and urging them to cooperate with others and take into account the circumstances of the stage he is going through to try to reduce negative thinking.

Abstract

The first chapter included the introduction and the importance of the research through the functional efficiency, the level of central strength and physical training methods through the latest methods to achieve training achievements, while the second chapter included the researcher's use of the experimental method with the experimental and control groups system to suit the nature of the research, while the research sample was selected by the random method and consisted of (20) players of the Karkh Volleyball Club for the season 2023-2024, The third chapter included the presentation and discussion of the results of the pre and post tests of the research sample in the two variables (back muscles and legs) and providing a database of the arithmetic averages of the strength of the stabilizing muscles of the body and the skill of the aces in volleyball as an indicator for comparison and legalization of training loads for volleyball players, as for the fourth chapter, the researcher concluded that the arithmetic averages of back muscle strength reached (82. (77) where the percentage of improvement reached (12.01%) in favor of the post-measurement and this confirms its importance, and the arithmetic means of the strength of the leg muscles reached (7.33) where the percentage of improvement reached (14.78%) in favor of the post-measurement and this confirms its importance and recommended the use of databases for the arithmetic means of body-stabilized muscle strength tests as an indicator of ground training processes and comparison with abducted age groups, as well as the importance of the ability of volleyball players to perform body-stabilized muscle strength tests and ground training for the participating muscles.

Abstract

The research aims to identify the effect of katsu training on the efficiency of some physical and physiological variables and its impact on the level of some offensive skills of young taekwondo players by determining. Because of its suitability for the nature of the research, the researcher used the experimental design with two measurements before and after one experimental group, and the researcher selected a random sample of (24) players registered in the Iraqi Taekwondo Federation from the youth category, and one of the most important results was that the Katsyu training caused a development in the physical, physiological and skill abilities of young Taekwondo players, and the most important recommendations were that Katsyu training should be used to develop the physical, physiological and skill abilities of Taekwondo players.

Abstract

Evaluate the self-control according to the ball's location in the Salahuddin education team for the preparatory stage of football. To identify the relationship between attentional control of ball location and the skill of accuracy of scoring from set-pieces in the Salahuddin education football team. The researcher hypothesised. There is a statistically significant correlation between the attentional control of the ball and the skill of accuracy of scoring from set-pieces in the Salahuddin education team for the preparatory stage of football. The researcher used the descriptive correlation method suitable for the nature of the research and the research community, which consisted of the players of the Salahuddin education team (22). The research sample consisted of 10 players randomly selected (45.40%) from the research population. Conclusions, The research sample shows a positive correlation between attentional control according to the ball's location and scoring accuracy skill. The research sample scored high in the ability to maintain body balance through the results obtained in the test. The researcher recommended: The researcher recommends paying attention to the skill of scoring accuracy and giving it enough time in the training curricula for coaches. Conduct a similar study by finding a relationship between scoring skill with other qualities, or finding a relationship between attentional control or other saliva. It is recommended that mindfulness training be incorporated into training programmes to improve performance in static football situations.

Abstract

This research aimed to analyze the biomechanical and technical variables related to performance and to assess the efficiency and effectiveness of the smashing skill among volleyball players from Tikrit University. The researchers hypothesized that three-dimensional kinematic analysis could help identify specific kinematic variables and evaluate the efficiency of the smashing technique used by these athletes. To achieve this, the researchers adopted a descriptive approach utilizing the case study method, which was deemed most suitable for examining the biomechanical and technical elements of the smashing skill. The research sample consisted of four intentionally selected players from the Tikrit University volleyball team, all of whom participated in the Iraqi Universities Championship during the 2023–2024 academic year. These players were chosen specifically for their specialization in smashing, aligning with the study's objectives. The findings revealed that allocating the appropriate amount of time for performing a smash significantly enhances performance, with players who minimize execution time proving more effective in offensive play. Additionally, variations in the body’s center of gravity were found to influence performance levels; players with a higher center of gravity are better positioned to reach higher points, thereby increasing their potential for delivering powerful and well-timed smashes. Based on these conclusions, the researchers recommended focusing on improving the timing of the smash by training athletes to increase the speed of coordination between the pass and the smash. Furthermore, emphasis should be placed on refining jump timing and faster positioning, especially for players who currently exhibit slower execution
