Abstract

Acronyms are abbreviations of combinations of several letters or syllables written and pronounced as words according to the phonological rules of the affected language. The extension of an acronym is called expansion. Acronym extraction and expansion is one of the text mining tasks in the field of information retrieval used in search engines. Search engines require a database of acronyms and expansion in determining search results for relevant information. The problem is that it often occurs when someone or a researcher makes a scientific work, especially research in Indonesia, which ignores the extraction of acronyms from each word used or is not quite right, so a way is needed to overcome this by creating an application or media to detect the extraction of the acronym using applying the Text Mining Algorithm and Term Frequency-Inverse Document Frequency (TF-IDF). Based on the problems contained in this research, the author is interested in conducting research on a thesis with the title "Natural Language Processing Acronym Extraction and Expansion in Indonesian Articles Using Text Mining Methods and Term Frequency-Inverse Document Frequency (TF-IDF)". Based on the results of calculations with TF-IDF, in acronym extraction and expansion, the weight value obtained is with a weight value of -0.053. Based on this, the extracted sentence is obtained.

Abstract

In the current era, information needs are very important for the general public because the more information is stored digitally, the greater the data storage media needed. Therefore, an alternative data storage process is needed in order to store as much data as possible using existing storage media. In image file compression, decompression is very necessary so that the data compression process works optimally. The compression process is used to reduce file size, while the decompression process is a way to restore compressed data to original data. Basically, image compression techniques are used to find out how to transmit data (data transmission) and store data (storage). The method used in this research is the Golomb Code algorithm for the compression process on image files and the RSA (Rivest-Shamir-Adleman) algorithm to secure image files that have been compressed. It is hoped that the implementation of the Golomb Code algorithm for image file compression by applying the RSA algorithm for securing image files after compression will provide efficient results in terms of the size of the compressed image file, as well as providing an adequate level of security to protect the compressed data. In determining the compression criteria results using the Golomb code algorithm, they are Compression Ratio (RC) = 1.63%, Compression Ratio (CR) = 61.11%, Redundancy (Rd) = 38.88%, Space Saving (Ss) = 38.89%.

Abstract

Coordination of Private Universities abbreviated as Kopertis is an institution formed by the government that is tasked with providing guidance to private universities in its working area. Coordination of Private Universities I or abbreviated as Kopertis Region I is a division of the Kopertis working area which covers the province of North Sumatra. The problem faced by Kopertis Region I North Sumatra is that it is difficult to assess every private university in North Sumatra because the distance between one private university and another private university is far apart so that the Kopertis is difficult to reach and sometimes the reports received do not match reality and not all of them can be objectively assessed because some private universities have a long distance from North Sumatra, so sometimes in the selection of the best private universities it is not assessed as a whole. Decision Support System is an interactive information system that provides modeling, information, and data manipulation. A Decision Support System can also be defined as a computer system that manages data into information to make decisions from specific semi-structured problems. Decision Support Systems aim for a decision that requires decision judgment that cannot be supported by algorithms at all or to help make decisions in semi-structured situations and unstructured situations, where no one knows exactly how the decision should be designed. The vikor method is a method to determine the ranking of existing samples by looking at the results of the utility value, regression and solution distance as the best alternative from each sample. The vikor method focuses on ranking and selecting from a set of alternatives, and determining a compromise solution for conflicting criteria problems, which can help decision makers to reach a final decision.

Abstract

Team Leader must have knowledge, and its own advantages in organizing and handling every company activity to achieve the company's common goals. The problem in selecting the best team leader at PT Lion Express is still lacking in objectivity. The decision-making technique in using the ROC method as a stage of finding the weight of the supporting criteria for selecting a team leader and the EDAS method is based on the theory that each alternative consists of a number of criteria that have their own values ​​by finding the highest alternative value as the selected alternative. It is expected that both methods can overcome the problem of selecting a team leader, so a Decision Support System will be built which will be designed using Visual Basic 2008 and using Microsoft Access 2007. In the Visual Basic design, the calculation and ranking process will be produced.

Abstract

Distribution is the process of distributing goods from producers to consumers who need them. Distribution is an important factor for companies to be able to deliver products quickly and precisely to consumers. The accuracy of product delivery must have a basis for scheduling and determining the route that must be precise, so that the product is received in good condition and in accordance with the time limit specified by the customer. PT. Hokkan Deltapack Industri Tanjung Morawa is required to have the ability to manage the distribution system properly. In reality, the company has not carried out proper distribution scheduling planning so that the company has not been able to control the condition of the inventory in the warehouse. This often happens at certain times such as the month of Ramadan, Eid, Christmas and New Year. In addition, the company also does not use a method in distributing products, the company still uses tenders so that the company does not have a definite cost for each shipment per period. The distribution process in one product shipment is only carried out to one distributor with a different number of shipments each time it is transported. Each distributor has a different route causing a longer distance. The longer distance causes the time and costs required to be greater. Based on the problems above, the company needs a distribution schedule and determination of distribution routes appropriately to reduce waste in terms of time, distance, and energy and to obtain more efficient transportation costs. Therefore, it is necessary to plan product distribution using the Improved Zero Point Method. (IZPM) Improved Zero Point is a very useful method for solving all types of transportation problems, this method provides optimal solutions without the help of any other modification methods.
