Abstract

The teaching and learning process at child-friendly madrasas ensures that children's rights are fulfilled. A democratic learning environment based on children's rights, where the learning process is also tailored to the child's abilities and interests. In addition, child-friendly madrasas offer the learners freedom. Since all rules created by educational institutions require student participation, this context refers to the freedom of students to articulate their thoughts and realize their full potential. This study attempts to characterize child-friendly madrasas in the context of freedom of learning. This study uses a library-based research methodology that utilizes books and scholarly articles on the subject of child-friendly madrasas. In order to create child-friendly schools, educational institutions must ensure that the teaching and learning process takes place in a safe and pleasant environment. In terms of gender sensitivity, there is no gender discrimination. Added to this are democratic participation and a healthy, safe and secure environment.

Abstract

This research will examine two important issues, first, issues related to ecology with all the scope of the problem. Second, issues related to economic independence. These two important issues are underwritten by Pondok Pesantren as a basis and value in solving ecological problems and economic independence. Theoretical studies of Islamic boarding schools' values originating from the treasures of "yellow yellow" are translated into practical matters. In summary, this research will also confirm that the treasures of the “Yellow Book” which contains a lot of ethical content can be implemented in more real actions, namely taking sides on ecological issues and issues of economic independence. This research uses a qualitative approach to the type of case study research. The thing that underlies the use of a qualitative approach in this research is because the researcher will explore the problem and develop a more detailed understanding of the phenomenon. Sources of data in this study were obtained from Caregivers/Leaders of the At Thoriq Ecology Islamic Boarding School, Management, Santri and the community around the Islamic Boarding School who were actively involved in the activity process. Data collection techniques were carried out by in-depth interviews, participatory observation and documentation. Qualitative data analysis techniques are carried out interactively, continuously until they reach completeness so as to obtain saturated data. Activities in data analysis are data reduction, data display and conculsion drawing/verification. The results of this study obtained information that products produced from agroecological activities developed by the At Thoriq Ecology Islamic Boarding School such as herbal teas, beauty products, organic rice, etc. are able to support Islamic boarding school activities so that Islamic boarding schools can be independent.

Abstract

The purpose of this research is to examine the concept of Islamic education by Ibn Khaldun and its implications in the era of Industry 4.0. The research method used by the researcher is a literature review. The literature review is a research approach that gathers and analyzes information from various relevant literary sources. This method involves the process of searching, selecting, and critiquing existing literature to develop a comprehensive understanding of the researched subject. The findings of this research indicate that Ibn Khaldun's concept of education, as a 14th-century historian and philosopher, may not directly relate to the era of Industry 4.0, characterized by digital technology advancements and automation. However, some educational principles advocated by Ibn Khaldun can still hold relevance in the current educational context. The relevant aspects include holistic education, lifelong learning, and character education. However, the exemplary factor in education cannot be simply replaced by digitalization it is important to note that the educational context and demands today differ from Ibn Khaldun's time. Therefore, Ibn Khaldun's educational concepts need to be adapted and linked to the specific challenges and needs present in the era of Industry 4.0.

Abstract

The discussion about experiencing pluralism in the interaction of course participants Kampung Inggris, Pare, Kediri is interesting to discuss. Several course participants from various different backgrounds become one unit that accepts one another. Differences in religion, ethnicity, culture, etc., do not prevent them from being open to one another. This study uses the phenomenological method and uses Mukti Ali's theory for its analysis. This research concludes that the formation of experiencing pluralism in the sociological dimension of Pare City and the success of experiencing pluralism cannot be separated from religion and local culture.

Abstract

Islamic boarding schools are educational institutions that provide maximum and in-depth religious learning. Islamic boarding schools have their own uniqueness in fostering their students, namely the independent attitude of various parties including the government. Islamic boarding schools stand and develop from the community so that they have freedom in providing educational regulations and are not bound by standard government regulations. Islamic boarding schools have characteristics that do not change with the times and technology. Islamic boarding schools are one of the moral development institutions. Islamic boarding school education increases religious knowledge and moral formation and teaches the character of honesty to prepare students for a simple life with a heart that is clean from reprehensible traits. The role of the kiai in moral formation is very crucial among the different character backgrounds of the santri. The role of the kiai is through exemplary, habituation of discipline which is enforced as a rule in Islamic boarding schools. The focus of this research is to find out the concept of reciting the Ihya' Ulumuddin Book by Imam Al-Ghazali at the Assuniyah Kencong Jember Islamic Boarding School, the implementation of moral education values based on the thoughts of Imam Al-Ghazali in the Ihya' 'Ulumuddin book and the learning model for the Ihya' 'Ulumuddin book in Assuniyah Kencong Jember Islamic boarding school. This study uses a qualitative approach, emphasizing its analysis on the comparative inference process of the dynamics of the phenomena relationship using scientific logic. The result of this research is the recitation of the Ihya' book, the method used is the bandongan method and lectures from the kiyai. Activities carried out in Islamic boarding schools are activities related to religious activities, students are limited to the environment outside the Islamic boarding school. This research has conceptual findings with the NIAT model which stands for Nurut, Istiqomah, Actualization, Tawaduk.
