COVID-19 cases are still increasing, and some countries are even experiencing a surge in cases for the second time. COVID-19 cases in Indonesia as of April 2021 almost reached one million. The Indonesian government is targeting the COVID-19 vaccination in Indonesia to reach 70%, covering the target of vaccine recipients of around 181.5 million people. The government conveyed the target optimistically to be achieved within 15 months. However, the achievements during the initial 3 months were only 5.72% for dose I and 2.99% for dose II. This study aims to review the health system’s resilience in COVID-19 vaccination. The approaches and methods used to obtain this information were qualitative with the method of desk study, expert study, and in-depth interviews. The results showed that the components of the health resilience strategy in COVID-19 vaccination in Indonesia experienced obstacles, especially in the aspects of vaccine availability, data collection, and maximizing the role of human resources through the support of actual research on vaccine development. Thus, it is necessary to strengthen the health system that accompanies the COVID-19 vaccination program by implementing health protocols, 3T surveillance (testing-tracing-treatment), and other approaches comprehensively.

This study aims to understand strategies needed to overcome competency and workload challenges faced by non-medical workers in the Forensic Unit of the Universitas Indonesia Hospital (RSUI). This descriptive study was performed in the Forensic Unit of RSUI in March 2021. Respondents were chosen by purposive sampling, consisting of three non-medical staff from the unit. Data was collected from the forensic unit, human resources department, and direct observation for three days using the Time and Motion Study Observation Method and structured interviews with each respondent. The subjects of this study were three non-medical workers (two forensic technicians and one mortuary personnel) of the Forensics Unit, all males; each graduated from high school and has attended non-formal training or workshops which support their job position in the unit. Since the pandemic, there has been an increase in the number of services conducted by the unit, especially mortuary and funeral services. The proportion of productivity based on the three-day observation during office hours was 80%, 80%, and 30%, while the after-office hours (during the on-call schedule) were 96%, 96%, and 88%.

Pharmacy installation is part of the service system that influences hospital quality standards, one of which is waiting time for pharmaceutical service. The waiting time at the Outpatient Pharmacy Installation of Hospital X exceeds the Hospital Minimum Service Standard and Hospital Quality Indicators, which is 50 minutes. This study aims to determine the root of the problem and the solution to the long waiting time for prescription drug services at Outpatient Pharmacy installations. This research is a case study with a search method for identifying the root of the problem, determining alternative solutions, and prioritizing the main solution. The long waiting time for finished drug services is caused by the lack of shifts of workers when poly peak times, the absence of flow information and appropriate SOPs when pharmaceutical prescription services run concurrently, and non-compliance by pharmacists with SOPs for pharmaceutical services. The main solution was to create flow information and a new SOP for outpatient prescription services.

Background: nurses in inpatient rooms often miss the provision of nursing care due to the dimensions of assessment, individual needs, basic needs, and planning. The number of additional tasks in nurses’ activities will increase the nurses’ workload that must be completed. Nurses’ duties beyond their physical capacity trigger missed nursing care. Therefore, this study aims to find the relationship between nurses’ workload and missed nursing care in a hospital. Methods: The research design used was observational analysis with a cross-sectional approach. The sample in this study was 156 inpatient nurses at Wava Husada Hospital in Malang with a purposive sampling approach. The research was carried out for 1 month, from February to March 2021. Workload measurement used the Rafaela system method. The MISSCARE Survey Instrument measured missed nursing care. The analysis of workload relationship data with missed nursing care implemented Spearman’s Rho test on SPSS version 26. Results: In the inpatient room, the nurse workload relationship was found based on the patient’s assessment score of dependency level per nurse with missed nursing care on the dimension of the basic need with an ρ-value of 0.027. At the same time, the workload based on the nurses’ professional assessment had no relationship with the missed nursing care or its four dimensions. Conclusion: The relationship between workload in the inpatient room based on the assessment score of the patient dependency level per nurse with missed nursing care occurred on the dimensions of basic needs.

Women are underrepresented in healthcare leadership, yet there is no evidence of effective organizational strategies, practices, or policies that help women develop their careers. We want to look into this across industries to see how far women have come in terms of leadership in healthcare. The literature study identified two major themes: impediments to women's leadership and methods to expand women's leadership positions in the health sector. Socio-cultural hurdles, work-life conflicts, sexual harassment, gender disparities, and a lack of networks and role models for women leaders are all examples of these impediments. Furthermore, the process in the administration and organization of health, as well as unique career development programs for women, are all part of the goal to strengthen the leadership role of women in the health sector. This study lays out the evidence supporting organizational strategies to promote women in leadership in several settings, with implications for health care. It focuses on organizational transformation rather than people, documenting observable improvement across intervention areas. This work directly informs national efforts with international ties, allowing women to fulfill their professional aspirations in health care and move beyond obstacles to solutions.

The COVID-19 pandemic presents obstacles in transitioning newly graduated nurses to professional nurses in the emergency room. The transition period is challenging and stressful, affecting new nurses’ performance. This study aims to identify the stress fresh graduate nurses experienced during the transition to emergency nurses during the pandemic. A scoping review was used to identify (n=17) articles from six databases (ScienceDirect, PubMed, Proquest, Willey Library, Sega Journal, and EBSCO). An article search used the keywords with the Boolean operator “New Graduate Nurse OR Fresh Graduate Nurse OR Novice Nurse AND Adaptation OR Transition AND Emergency AND Stress” to search the literature for the last five years. The results showed that during the transition period to becoming an emergency nurse during a pandemic, newly graduated nurses experienced mild to severe stress caused by an increased workload, lack of knowledge, and competence. High stress on fresh graduate nurses is also related to the work environment and lack of experience. However, not many studies discuss the influence of organizational factors on stress levels during the transition period. This study’s results suggest providing a support program for new nurses working in the emergency room to reduce the level of stress experienced.
